Our Daily Bread Designs had a sketch challenge this week. Since I was away the majority of the week, I was just able to complete it. lol!! I completed it this a.m. and was hoping to load it then but my computer and I have been fighting all day. IT won out until now. HOW FRUSTRATING!!! Anyway.... here it is. The set I used is another sneak peak of "You are the Potter" from Our Daily Bread Designs to be released tomorrow, March 1!!Instead of using a paper panel on the left side of my card, I decided to add some texture and use burnt orange velvet and off-white lace. I water colored the pots using Stampin up Markers and my aqua brush. The brown frame is Prism Metallic paper also available at ODBD. I love this paper!! I dry embossed it using one of my floral cuttlebug folders. I normally don't use oranges but I felt the color gave it more of a southwest feel with a touch of elegance.
CARD RECIPE
Stamps- You are the Potter- Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper- Prism Brown Metallic Paper available at Our Daily Bread Designs, Sassafrass "Pocket Full of Roses" DP
Accessories- American Crafts Burnt Orange ribbon, Wright Off white lace, cuttlebug floral embossing folder, embossing powder (gold), brown thread, sewing machine
I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend!! Thanks for visiting!! I appreciate all your comments!!!

Hello all! I am back and ready to share some cards that I have completed using two stampsets to be release from Our Daily Bread Designs on February 1. The first is using the stampset "You are the Potter" and Jenn's SFYTT (Iheart2stamp) sketch challenge. This set is so versatile and fun. It is one of my favorites!! I had so much fun coloring this image with prisma color pencils and gamsol. The DP is from one of my favorite lines of Fancy Pants (Sweet Pea). I wanted it to have a shabby chic look so I distressed it but tried to keep an elegant look to it.
The second card is made using the stampset "Serenity" from Our Daily Bread Designs. The challenge hosted by Sharon (No Time to Stamp) was to use only black ink on your card. I wanted to make my card look almost monochoromatic so I used black and white paper from Time Flies, some awesome black metallic prism paper to be found at Our Daily Bread Designs, with just a little green to make the black and white pop. I also added the elegant green pearls, gold cording and a gold bird pendant I bought from Michaels. I wanted to keep the card looking serene yet elegant so I limited my embellishments.
Card Recipe #1
Stamps: I Am the Potter- Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper: Fancy Pants- Sweet Pea, Lily Pond Bazzil, Chocolate Chip Textured
Accessories: CuttlebugVintage Corner, Nestabilities, American Crafts Glitter Brown Ribbon, Ribbon Bowtique Sage green ribbon, cuttlebug floral embossing folder, prisma colors and gamsol, close to cocoa ink for distressing, sewing machine, brown thread
Card Recipe #2
Stamps: Serenity Prayer- Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper: Time Flies, Mint green and Lily Pond cs, (Our Daily Bread Designs) Black Metallic Paper, white cs
Accessories: bird pendant, gold cording, green pearls, black embossing powder
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed today's post. Make sure to stop by the rest of the ODBD DT blogs for more sneak peaks of these sets. Since ODBD is celebrating their one year Anniversary in March, there are many exciting things planned by the DT...so be on the look out!
Thanks for your comments!! I greatly appreciate them!!

Today's post will be short since I am on my way out the door to visit my mother and father for a few days. Yesterday they celebrated another milestone wedding anniversary. Mom has been leaving me hints for a month that she would like me to come and spend a few days with them... the rest is history. This will be my last post until Wednesday night or early Thursday depending on when I get home. I have packed my whole craft room so I can keep on stamping while I am away. Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything.
Anyway.... Here is my card made for last week's OCCC sketch challenge. I wasn't able to participate last week due to illness in our house but still wanted to try the sketch, so here it is. All the stamps are from the SU Crazy for Cupcakes. The dp is from DCWV "Sweet" pack. The cs is pink pirouette and chocolate chip. I am sending this card to my sister for her birthday. Hope she likes it!!
Good bye for now. HOpe you enjoyed today's post. I will be back on Wednesday!!

I can't believe how fast time goes and how late in the day it already is. I really wanted to complete several cards today but time is running away from me. The card I am sharing tonight is called Rub a Dub Dub Bird Bath. My friend Michelle, at Mommytime, sent me this image in a R.A.K. I absolutely love High Hopes stamps. THANKS MICHELLE!! I have admired the magnificent creations of Michelle, a High Hopes Diva team member, using these stamps for a long time. She is incredibly talented and does outstanding coloring!!! If you have not visited her blog, you really should!! Just click HERE.
When I made this card, I had three challenges in mind, Katharina's sketch challenge #17, Spiltcoast's Color challegne 203 (Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, and Garden Green), and today's OCCC challenge hosted by Laurie, to use a tag on your card. Thanks Laurie!! I had so much fun coloring this image with prisma color pencils. I layered it to make it 3d. The soap suds are made using liquid applique and stickles. I love the glitz and how they look so much like real bubbles and suds. I used a piece of terry cloth to make the towel. This yummy designer paper is new from K&Co. It is called Sue Sera Lera. It has many outstanding papers with bright colors!! I really loved Katharina's sketch and will definitely use it again!! I just turned it on its side.
Card Recipe
STAMPS: HIGH HOPES Burt's Bath
Paper: K&Co. Sue Sera Lera, Baja Breeze CS, Pacific Point CS, Garden Green CS, White CS
Ink: Close to Cocoa to distress or sponge edges
Accessories: sheer blue ribbon, pearls, liquid applique, trim from Jo Ann Fabrics, terry cloth, sewing machine, bright blue thread, Martha Stewart Border Punch
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. I am off to do some more cards. I have my parents Anniversary card and sister's Birthday card to make before Monday. Lol! I better get going!!

Happy Friday Everyone! Tonight is a special night for my daughters and their dad. It is Father/Daughter night for their church girl's club. They are having a special dinner and movie. I get to be waitress. Lucky me!! The girls have been thinking of how to primp up all day long. Dad on the other hand is still not feeling well but so does not want to disappoint his girls so he is going. He would much rather sit in his recliner. What a good dad to do this for his daughters!!
Today I have a short post for you. This project is one I made earlier this week for Splitcoasts TLC208 challenge to make a round top box. It was a lot of fun and quite easy to make. The template is availble if you click into the TLC forum where the challenge is listed. The paper I used was from SU Pink Pirouette DP, Pink Pirouette CS, and Chocolate Chip CS. The lilies were stamped and cut out using the lilies in Our Daily Bread Designs- I Am the Way set. You can find them here. The sentiment comes from SU Riveting (retired). I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the scalloped border around the box and the scalloped punch from SU for the border around the sentiment. The butterflies were punched out using the Martha Stewart Butterfly punch.
Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comments! I really enjoy reading them.

Today's post is a card that I made for today's sketch challenge on SC hosted by Roxi. I had a great time making it. What an awesome sketch!! The colors I used are very nontraditional for me. They are a little brighter than my normal choice of colors but I think I like how it turned out. I based my colors on some SU Haiku paper that I hoarded before it retired. After using it for this project, I wish I bought more! lol! Since it is snowing here and very dark, these colors resemble sunshine.
The stamps were in the back of my cupboard collecting dust. I have so many stamps, sometimes I am unaware of what I have. I love this set though. It is called Live your Dream from SU. The sentiment is from the Best Yet set. I especially enjoyed sponging over my cuttlebug layers to create a unique effect. It reminds me of sherbet. The butterflies were created using the same technique and punching them out with a Martha Stewart punch.
Card Recipe
Stamps- SU Live your Dreams, Best Yet
Paper-Haiku DP, Really rust, expresso Bazill, barely banana
accessories-sponges, cuttlebug textile and floral folders, chocolate chip, more mustard, olive, and really rust inks, American Crafts glitter ribbon, pearls, brown thread, nestabilities, MS butterfly punch
Thanks for visiting my blog!! I hope you enjoyed today's post. Have a great night or day! I sometimes forget all of the different time zones who visit each blog. Thanks for your comments!!

Despite having a bunch of sickies in this house and being overtired, I decided the best thing to do today was to stamp the day away on today's color challenge and Jenn's SFYTT sketch challenge for this week. It took me all day because of the constant need for attention from my patients (sick hubby and still two sick children) but I managed to get it done and get a picture of it in the daylight. Quite an accomplishment!!!!
The image I used is one that I just received from Sugar Nellie called "Rope Swing" It was so much fun to watercolor!! What a darling image!! It was a challenge to use today's color challenge since the kiwi kiss and more mustard are a little out of my comfort zone. Once I found this great designer paper from K&Co. (Classic K), the rest of the card flowed. It was a great release for me and a lot of fun! I stamped the image 3 times in brown stazon on watercolor paper. I painted the dress using gable green and rose red (using my watercolor markers), and the hair and shoes have shades of more mustard and brown. Then I cut and layered the image for a 3D effect. The tree in the background is stamped using the fern from A Touch Of Nature.
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Sugar Nellie-Rope Song, SU- Touch of Nature
Paper: K&Co. Classic K, Old Olive CS, Chocolate Chip CS
Accessories: Fiskars Sunburst Border Punch, brown American Crafts ribbon, Vintage Corner dies from Cuttlebug, buttons, sewing machine and brown thread, swiss dot embossing folder, and label 3 nestability
Thanks for visiting my blog today!! I hope you enjoyed today's post as much as I enjoyed making it.

HAPPY MONDAY MORNING! Many are home for President's Day today! Enjoy your day!!!
This morning I have two cards to share with you!! Two cards using three challenges. The challenges this past week at Splitcoast were, oh, so much fun!!! Both of my cards were made using stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs. You can find their stamps here.
The first card uses Splitcoasts TLC207 Cut It Out Challenge and the sketch Challenge SC215. I used the sets Keep My Lamp Burning and On Eagle's Wings from Our Daily Bread designs. Since eagels are so strong and wild, I wanted to make it a shabby chic card with a distressed look. I sponged the background for the sky using Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, and Sky Blue, stamped on the verse, and did the cracked glass technique. The eagle was cut out and layered for a 3D look.
The second card uses this past week's Limited Supply Challenge hosted by Judy and the stampset May God Hold You from Our Daily Bread designs. Her challenge was to stretch yourself... change 2 elements on your project that you normally wouldn't do to make it different than all of the other projects in your gallery. I literally stretched!! This card is tall and narrow!! This is the first tall and narrow card I have ever done!! i also did not do any sewing, which I have done alot of lately, and added chipboard!! I actually love this chipboard from Blue Awnig!!
Card 1 recipe:
Stamps: Keep My Lamp Burning, On Eagles Wings (Our Daily Bread Designs)
Paper: Ski Slope-SU, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Baja Breeze, Sky Blue, Pacific Point
Accessories: ribbon, hodgepodge hardware, prismacolor pencils, mineral spirits, clear embossing powder, sponge, craft hemp, textile embossing folder, glitter
Technique: 3D stamping, embossing, cracked glass, dry embossing
Card 2 recipe:
Stamps: May God Hold You- Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper: Blue Awning
Ink: Black Stazon
Accessories: Blue Awning Chipboard, ribbon, charm
I hope you enjoyed today's posts. Thanks so much for stopping by. Your comments are appreciated!

It's Saturday and the weekend has finally arrived. Yeah!! I hope it is a better weekend than this week. Our household has been battling the flu. Both my girls as well as myself have been affected. I apologiaze for not posting yesterday as I said I would. Unfortunately," life happens when you are busy making other plans."
Anywhoo......
I am so excited to be sharing a card and a 2-5-7-10 box today. The card I received for Valentine's Day from my ODBD design team sistah, Angel. We had a challenge amongst the designer team to use one of the Our Daily Bread Design's stampsets and make a Valentine card and send it to another team member. I was the lucky recipient of this GORGEOUS card from Angel. She used the I Am the Way set from Our Daily Bread Designs. It can be found here. This is so much more beautiful in person than in the picture I took. Thanks Angel!! Angel has a lot of awesome creations. If you have a moment, you can visit her blog here for inspiration!
The 2-5-7-10 box was made for yesterday's Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoast (SC207) hosted by one of my other design team sistah's, Judy. Judy's challenge was to "stretch yourself" and do two things that you don't normally do on projects. Make it look like something different than anything in your gallery. Well I stretched......This was my first time ever making a 2-5-7-10 box. I wanted to make something different for my dear husband, Scott, for Valentine's Day. I used an unopened package of River Rock CS from Stampin Up. River Rock is just not one of the colors I would normally choose. Thirdly, I used a Polka dot and Posies roller that I bought a few years ago from SU. I have never used a roller before. I even blew myself away.... I didn't use any embellishments!!! LOL!!! All of my friends know that I love lots of glitz and embellishments! I only used ribbon to tie it together. Even the ribbon is a first. I got this ABC ribbon from a RAK. I don't normally use ribbon like this. I think this 2-5-7-10 box turned out pretty cute. I think my husband will love the Lindt Dark Chocolate Truffles I put inside!! lol! The toad and saying came from a stampset I bought two years ago from SU called UNFROGETTABLE! The stamps are very darling with just a little touch of humor. This was my first time using it!
Thanks for stopping by today!! Happy Valentine's Day! For an added bit of interest, please share your most memorable Valentine's Day gift or what you received for Valentine's Day this year from your Valentine. My hubby brought home a dozen and a half red roses yesterday for my two daughters and I. He wrote on the tag "For my 3 special ladies". A dozen roses were for me and three each for the girls. After being sick this week, it really meant a lot to Nicki and Meghan as well as myself. Isn't that just so SWEET!!

Yesterday I had fun playing with one of my all time favorite stamp sets from Our Daily Bread designs called Sing to the Lord. I am so looking forward to spring and seeing the green grass, the flowers, and the birds. The color challenge was so springy (Pirouette Pink, Perfect Plum and Kiwi Kiss) and this set just matched perfectly. I even got to use some of my all time favorite designer papers from Stampin Up (Bella Rose and Parisian Summer, I only wish I hoarded more of Parisian Summer before it retired!!). They are so yummy!!!
The Pink Pirrouette background paper and the white behind the image are embossed with the textile embossing folder.
The Technique Lover's challenge for Monday was to take a stamped image, dry embossed image or designer paper and cut it out to make it a part of your card. My entire image as well as the corner is cut out. The birds and flowers were embossed, glittered and layered for a 3D look. I used Mojo73 for my sketch! Combining these challenges was indeed a challenge but FUN!
RECIPE
STAMPS: OUR DAILY BREAD designs- Sing to the Lord
Paper: Parisian Summer DP SU, Bella Rose DP SU, Perfect Plum CS, White CS
Accessories, pearls, embossing powder, glitter, silver thread, hodgepodge hardware, button, Pink Pirouette Ribbon, American Crafts Glitter Green Ribbon, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Textile Embossing Folder from Cuttlebug
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you enjoyed my post. Thanks in advance for any comments left!! Tomorrow, I have yet another challenge to share with you. Until tomorrow.....

Happy Tuesday Morning Everyone!!! Today I would like to share two cards I completed yesterday for a few different challenges.
OCC Challenge- An Answer for Each Prayer
The first card I created using the May God Hold You set from Our Daily Bread designs. The challenge at OCC this week was hosted by Laurie Schmidlin. The Inspirational challenge was create a card using a favorite embellishment and create your whole card around it! My inspiration was the flowers by K&Co. I also did the Lsc206 on Splitcoast using a sentiment. This was a super fun challenge!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs- May God Hold You
Paper: K& Co.-Classic K, SU Vanilla, SU Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Sizzix Flourish #4, K&C0 flowers, Martha Stewart Leaf Punch, Martha Stewart Floral Border Punch, American Tradions Brown Glitter Ribbon, Offray Sheer Forest Green Ribbon, pearls
Divine Design- Proverbs 18:10
The second card uses the sets Keep My Lamp Burning from Our Daily Bread designs. I also did the LSC206 challenge on this card as well. My verse of focus was Proverbs 18:10 "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and they are safe. Proverbs 18:10." In these tough economic times this is truly a verse to remember. We need to trust!!
The paper is one of my ultimate favorites on this card. I used the Gold Color Prismatic Paper Cardstock also from Our Daily Bread designs and K&Co. Blue Awning! They both have a sheen or sparkle!! The charm is from Jolee's New Crystal Collection that Michael's is now selling.
Card Recipe
Stamps: Keep My Lamp Burning-ODBd
Paper: K&Co.- Blue Awning, ODBd- Gold Prismatic Color Paper Cardstock, Navy Textured CS
Accessories: Jolee's Crystal Collection Anchor set, sheer blue ribbon from Offray, craft hemp, nestabilities, floral border punch from Martha Stewart, blue thread, swirl embossing folder, large eyelets, and teal green crystals.
Thanks for looking! Hope you all have a wonderful day!!! I appreciate your comments!!

This card is made using the Our Daily Bread Designs -I am the Way! set that was released in February. The stamps are so versatile and fun to use!!! I made this card for 3 different challenges on Splitcoast: the monochromatic challenge CC182, Pile Up Embellishments WT204, and White Based Cards LSC 146. I was inspired by a couple of other blogs who double embossed the backgrounds on their cards and just had to try it. I love the effect! I water colored my lily and gold embossed it. It is also layered and dimensionalized. I used two punches from Martha Stewart for the butterflies and foliage behind the flower. All of the edges on the card and the spots on the butterfly are gold embossed.
CARD RECIPE:
STAMPS: I AM THE WAY- Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper: Basic White from SU
Accessories: Ribbon from American Crafts and Ribbon Bowtique, Pearl Button from Joann Fabrics, Martha Stewart Butterfly and Foliage punch, gold embossing powder, stamens from Prima Flower set (Embossed), Prima flower, gold metallic thread
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Thanks for stopping by!!

Tis the season for birthdays in my household. I made yet another birthday card for a friend. Her favorite color is purple and she LOVES flowers. I watercolored this morning glory and tried to keep my card in hues of purple. The dp is from K&Co.
I used my Labels 1 nesties and embossed the purple one. The hardware and stamp is from Stampin Up. I may my corner by using a Martha Stewart border punch. The image is glittered.
Stamp-Morning Glory-SU
Paper- K&Co. recyclables
Accessories: Wright lace, Debb Mumm Ribbon, periwinkle lace, rhinestone flourishes
Thanks for looking. I appreciate your comments. Have a great night!!

The card I am sharing with you today was made for a friend of mine whose birthday is this weekend. She loves House Mouse and the colors pink and purple. I thought this image was adorable and perfect for her. What House Mouse isn't adorable? I used sketch challenge SC214. I used the paper from the retired SUParisian Summer. I am going to miss this paper. I love it!!
The image was stamped 3 times and watercolored with SU Markers. Parts of the image were layered to create a 3 D look. Since my friend loves glitz and lots of it, I added the rhinestone flourishes, and glitter on the image and used a mauve or pink glitter paper from K&Co. (Sorry it does not show so well in the Picture). The layers were sewn together. There are lots of them )Lol!)
CARD RECIPE
Stamps: House Mouse- Poppin Birthday
Paper: SU Parisian summer, burgundy CS, Mauve Glitter Paper from K&Co., Watercolor paper
Accessories: Rhinestone Flourishes, Pink Pirouette Ribbon, glitter, sewing machine and pink thread
Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate any comments. I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed making it. House Mouse is so Fun!!!

Today, Our Daily Bread Designs is sponsoring a card sketch over at Card Positions Systems so make sure to join in and add your card so we can admire them.
Here is the CPS Sketch. I used the new February Our Daily Bread Designs stamp set Keep My Lamp Burning. I also used Split Coast Color Challenge CC203. The challenge was to use Pacific Point, Baja Breeze and Garden Green.
I love this stamp set and there is so much you can do with it. I burned the edges around the verse to give it the distressed burnt look (My lighter was not working). The background is sponged to create the sky. The light house is painted with Crystal effects. The background (Pacific Point) is dry embossed with swirls
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Keep My Lamp Burning- Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper: Baja Breeze DP, Black CS, Pacific Point and Gold Glitter Paper
Accessories: Black Velvet Ribbon, Crystal Effects, electric stove for burning my edges (a lighter would work better, however, I did not have one that worked), gold embossing powder
Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great day!!

I hope everyone had a great day today. My day was very eventful as I had some major work done on a tooth that broke this weekend. I am in a lot of pain at the moment so this will be a brief post.
I am absolutely loving the New Release stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs stamps. They are so much fun. The design team has done outstanding creations with these sets. You really should check out there blogs if you have not already. Their creations are magnificent. Their links on my sidebar.
On February 1, three new stamp sets were released: I am the Way (an Easter set), May God Hold You (Saint Patrick's Day set including the Irish Blessing) and Keep My Lamp Burning (a lighthouse with four interchangeable verses).
The card I am going to share with you today uses the set I Am the Way. I did yesterday's Technique Lover's Challenge (TLC206). The challenge was to create a recessed window. It was challenging but fun. The recessed window really makes the card 3D.
CARD RECIPE
STAMPS: Our Daily Bread Designs- I am the Way
STAMPS: Our Daily Bread Designs- I am the Way

Accessories: Cuttlebug Border, Wright Ecru Lace, Stampin Up Markers and Watercolor paper, Stamens from Prima Flowers, Gold Stickles, 2 small pearls, corner rounder punch

Illness is going through our household. My hubby was home today. Out of the ten other guys he works with, 6 out of the 10 got Bronchitis. Today he was home coughing and hacking and sneezing. I am praying that he does not have Bronchitis but rather just a simple cold that go away. I am also am praying that he doesn't pass it on to the rest of us, especially my daughter Nicki who has Asthma.
Since I have been playing nursemaid, I haven't had a chance to do much stamping. (Boohoo!) Today's card is one that I made a few weeks ago. It is using a stamp from My Favorite Things called "Friends Furever" It is such a darling image. I paper pieced most of it. The dog is colored with copics. The paper is from Basic Gray. The ribbon is Buckaroo Blue from SU.
Thanks for stopping by!! I appreciate any comments. They are such an inspiration to read.
