It always saddens me to hear of young kids that are suffering from terminal illnesses. I made this card for a little girl that had been diagnosed with a brain tumor while her family was away for the holidays visiting family. It is so sad. This little girl is only four. She had been having problems with balance and dizziness. When she passed out her grandmother's house, 12 hours away from home, they rushed the to the hospital. The diagnosis was a brain tumor. She had to have an operation to remove the tumor. Unfortunately the operation caused her to lose a lot. She now has to relearn to walk, talk, eat and etc. As you can imagine, this has been very hard on the parents. She needs constant care!!
I have always loved this stamp was adorable. I love House Mouse so I decided to make this card for her. She loves blue so I used this blue paper from Heidi Grace.
Many of the images are colored using watercolor markers. After I outlined the image very subtly, I painted it with an aqua brush. The images are cut out and dimentionalized.
Card Recipe
Stamps: House Mouse Chewable Aspirin
Paper: Heidi Grace, SU Bordering Blue, SU Marigold Morning
Accessories: Heidi Grace glittered flowers, prima flowers, colored brads, American Traditions ribbon, SU corner punch
I thank God everyday for my healthy children as well as my own health. Please say a prayer for this little girl and her family.
