Happy Tuesday Friends!!  Today I am excited to be joining ODBD in celebrating their 8th Anniversary open for business!!  On Thursday, it will be their official anniversary!! We have several days of special events in celebration.  Today will be a special Shining the Light Challenge: Lace and Scripture.  Lace is the eighth-anniversary gift.

The card I am sharing features a verse that I find comforting, knowing that God is in control, even when I feel like life is consuming me.  The scripture is from Scripture Series 3.

This verse is one of those verses that is easy to memorize but not always easy to put into practice.  In times when family members or very close friends are diagnosed with a life-threatening disease such as cancer or maybe even you yourself, when tragedy strikes, or when life takes a different turn you would not expect, it is easy to read the verse above but it is another matter to turn all your worries and cares to God.  While I thank God that I can go to Him, it is not always to trust or to Let Go and Let God so to speak.  Do you have something occurring in your life? Is your life full of burdens?  Bring your worries and cares to Him.  I know these past few weeks have been very difficult for me personally and it is my challenge to not worry but to trust. This is a verse I am trying very hard to put into practice in my own life.  Through cards, messages, and the love of so many, God is showing me He has not forgotten us.  Thank you so much for your uplifting words of encouragement and prayers.

For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my dt sisters: Diana and Robin

Yes Chris, I think letting go of those worries, especially having to do with family matters (heart OR financial) is the hardest thing to do in our Christian walk. I'm praying with you my friend!

Peace and comfort for your heart and may God find just the right situation and place for your family to thrive!

Chris, your card is lovely. I especially like your scripture. Just imagine how great it would be if we could just let the Lord shoulder our heavy loads.

Oh, Chris, so beautiful with all the amazing elements in your card! I love the gold embossed butterflies against the DP and the beautiful dies you put together for such a great layout and texture with the added embossing. And your bow is gorgeous! It all really showcases this comforting verse that we all need to remember as we walk through difficult times. And today, the difficult times just seem to keep on coming. But God has it all under His control, and we must continue to trust Him through it all...even during the hardest of times. Love you so, and sending hugs! xoxo
