ODBD Bread Basket

Hello, Friends!! Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Life has been keeping me on my toes with less time available to stamp or create.

Not only have I had a lack of time, however, my mind has been occupied making it difficult to be creative.

My husband has just been laid off from his job and my time and mind needs to be focused on how to pay our bills and bring in some income. I know God has always provided and will do so but it does not mean it will come easy or that I can sit here and just wait, but rather I must actively seek.  Now more than ever is when I need to not only remember but believe my favorite verse: Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on thine own understanding. In all they ways acknowledge him and He shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5,6
If only we could see the finished side from God's perspective and trust that He knows what He is doing.  After my experience with my pulmonary embolism, the move we made from New York to Virginia and Scott's layoff 3 years ago, I know we came out much stronger knowing God was with us from start to finish and it all turned out o.k. When you are in the midst of the trial, however, it is not always easy.

Today I am sharing a card I created using the ODBDSLC270 sketch.  It uses the Fragrance image.  I just love these roses!!

Our Daily Bread Designs, Fragrance, double stitched circles dies, circles dies, layered lacey squares, flourished star pattern dies, pennants dies, pastel paper pack, designed by Chris Olsen

ODBD Stamps Used: Fragrance

ODBD Paper Used: Pastel Paper Pack

For more inspiration using the sketch, please visit my dt sisters, Robin and Angie.

Thanks so much for your views and comments.  They are such a blessing!!  May you be blessed!!

Beautiful Chris! The roses are so soft and pretty and that ribbon, wow! Your perfect bows always knock my socks off! Your papers and die cuts are so beautiful, everything works well together!
God is working to bring all the parts of your life and family beautifully together as well my sweet friend! There is cutting, pressing, folding and tying in a bow, none of which seems pleasant while it is happening but the results are beautiful! I love you sweet friend! I m going through a very hard trial as well and it hurts so bad but I am trusting God for the out come!

Oh, sweet and precious Chris, you know Walt and I are continuing to pray for you all! I love you, and I know that God is always with us but that it is hard in the midst of what seems like unthinkable and unsolvable situations. Praying that He will give you the strength for this part of your journey and know that He will provide your needs. I love your beautiful card, and it's so much a "Chris" card with the beautifully layered dies and that "signature" ribbon I so love! Big and warm hugs, sweet friend! xoxo

Through every moment of hardship comes a moment of lesson and blessing though it may be hard to recognize at the time. Number 1: you believe in God Number 2: you live in America Number 3: you and your husband have the brain power, perseverance, and unity to make it all work out in the end. Your friends and family are your rock to over come the hard times. Prayers and Trust in the Lord.

Superb Chris, have just pinned this wonderful card, thank you for sharing it and your heart in this. Be assured of my prayer, trust some light has appeared in the shape of a job or provision since you penned this post.

A curious verse from Nahum 1 has always blessed me:
" the Lord has His way in the whirlwind and the storm, the clouds are the dust under His feet"

.. in the midst of the whirlwind and storm it is hard to see the perspective God is seeing from above, where the verse says the clouds are the dust under His feet.
He sees the compete story, as you say....

And three verses later ( if my memory Is correct) this verse comes to complete it all:
" the Lord is good, He is a stronghold in the day of trouble and He knoweth them that trust in Him"... Amen and amen...
Praise Him!!! Every blessing of our Lord, dear Chris.
Hugs,
