ODBD Bread Basket

Tuesday, February 2, 2016
Hi, Friends!!  It has been a while since I have posted 2 days in a row!!  Our recent snowstorm last week, and being caged in the house for a few days, enabled me the opportunity to create some cards!!

Today I am popping in to share a card I created using the sketch for this month's ODBD Shining the Light challenge!!
Our Daily Bread Designs, Daisy, With Much Thanks, Double Stitched Rectangle dies, Ovals dies, Stitched Ovals dies, Elegant Ovals dies, Pennant Dies, Flourished Star Pattern dies, Layered Lacey Squares dies, Pastel Paper Pack, designed by Chris Olsen

For my creation I used the Daisy image, colored it with copics, and cut it out with 2 different sizes of the elegant ovals dies to create a frame.  The sentiment is from the new release With Much Thanks and is cut out and framed with the Ovals and Stitched Ovals dies. The elegant ovals frame is mounted on dimensionals and framed with the Ovals and Stitched Ovals dies. Those ovals are mounted on squares and a border created with the Layered Lacey Squares dies.  The banner strip behind the squares are created with the Pennant dies and Pastel Paper Pack.  The background is embossed with Sizzix Dotted Squares embossing folder.  The border of the card is created with gold metallic paper and the Flourished Star Pattern die. The embossed white layer is cut from the Double Stitched Rectangles.

Card Recipe:
ODBD Stamps Used: Daisy,  With Much Thanks
ODBD Dies Used: OvalsStitched Ovals, Elegant Ovals, Pennant Dies, Flourished Star Pattern, Layered Lacey Squares, Double Stitched Rectangles
ODBD Paper Used: Pastel Paper Pack

This is the sketch used:

We would love to have you join us at ODBD for the Shining the Light challenge.  For a chance to win a $15 gift certificate toward stamps at ODBD, please link your creation to the inlinkz at the bottom of this post no later than February 28.  To have your creation spotlighted and chosen for the Shining the Light award, you must use Our Daily Bread Designs, Artistic Outpost, or North Coast Creations stamps!!

Hi Chris, it's been a while since I visited, but thanks for stopping by and giving me some encouragement :) This is simply stunning with those ovals and the big bow. The embossing is gorgeous too, and you're still making cards as beautiful as ever! Hope you're doing well these days :)

Oh, Chris, this is gorgeous!! I just love your colors (we do love our pinks, don't we? - and our blues? Hehe!). But your sketch take is fabulous with the beautiful "frame" using the daisies stamp (now how clever are you???). I love all the texture you are known for, and the beautiful layers are wonderful, but the bow always steals the show!! And I did notice the lovely pearls too for a lovely finish. Hugs, sweet friend, and thanks for delighting my eyes this afternoon! Hugs, sweet friend! xoxo
