Hello Friends!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I am praying that God will bless you all in the New year!!! It is hard to believe the holidays have come and gone as has 2016!!
“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14
Today I am popping in to share a card for the Shining the Light challenge which will no longer be every week but once a month. This week's challenge is to use something new and something old for your card. My new item is the new release stamps and die: Wishing and the sentiment from Wishing Well. The old is the cardinal ornament stamp set.
ODBD Stamps Used: Wishing Well, Cardinal Ornament
ODBD Dies Used: Stitched Ovals, Wishing, Ovals die, Double Stitched Circles, Circles
I just love cardinals!! They are so beautiful! This year our birdfeeder is up so I will have the opportunity to see them out my window!! I really did have a fun time coloring them up, adding sky, and adding white highlights to the female cardinal and pinecones.
We hope you are able to join the challenge!! You have until January 31st to add you card or project to the linky here for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate toward stamps! For more inspiration for this challenge please visit my dt sisters: Diana and Robin.
Thanks for stopping by and for your comments! May God bless you in the new year.

Love and hugs!
Oh, Chris, I too love cardinals and especially love the males with their gorgeous coloring! They stand out so much! Yes, it's hard to believe it's 2016, and what a beautiful card to start off the year. I love this "ornament" and love how you've used the gold for such beautiful shine and shimmer, and I love the layout and your coloring is fabulous! Beautifully done, sweet friend! Hugs!
These cardinals are on of my favorite stamps from ODBD - they have been inside many an ornament given as gifts over the holidays. Love the gold layered behind them - Your usual lovely work. Hugs
