ODBD Bread Basket

Tuesday, March 10, 2015
Hello Friends!!

Well last weekend we had ice and snow...Prayerfully the last of it!!  With Easter in less than a month, I am so ready for Spring.  Today I am sharing another card with easter flowers and the sketch for today's Shining the Light challenge at ODBD!!

Our Daily Bread Designs, Let the Earth Rejoice, Basket of Blessings, Faithful Fish Dies, Circle Ornament dies, designed by Chris Olsen, Slimline genuine deer Antler Pen, Chisel Ink n More

The pen pictured above is part of our Esty store designed by my husband.  The proceeds go to our daughter's mission trip. You can see more details here.

Our Daily Bread Designs, Let the Earth Rejoice,Basket of Blessings, Faithful Fish Pattern dies, Circle Ornaments die, designed by Chris Olsen

Matthew 20: 17-19
17 Now as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside and said to them,
18 "We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death
19 and will turn him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!"

While Easter is such a sad time as we think of how we crucified our Lord for our sin, it is such a happy time...a sign of new life for all those who believe!!  It is symbolic that the flowers and beginning of Spring begin since the trees budding with leaves, brown grass turning green and flowers blooming are all symbols of new life!! Thanks be to God for His Unspeakable gift!!

Oh, Chris, what a beautiful card, and I especially love the Scripture passage you've shared. Yes, Easter is a wonderful time, as we remember the true meaning of the season...Christ died, paid the penalty for our sin, defeated sin and death, and rose again! And we shall as well and live with Him forever!! Beautifully made card with lovely coloring, and I love the pen Scott made. Praying they will sell to help with the mission trip fun! Hugs, precious friend!
