ODBD Bread Basket

Tuesday, February 11, 2014
Happy Tuesday Everyone!! I hope you are all staying warm!!  The days seem to be getting colder again and it looks like a freezing ice storm is predicted here for tonight into tomorrow.  I may be iced in...

Today I would like to share a card I made for this week's Shining the Light challenge at ODBD which is to make a Valentine's Day card or a card with the Love theme (Anniversary/Wedding), that does not use pink or red.  So for my creation I used lavender and purple.

Our Daily Bread Designs, Love you Bunches, Lavender, ornate hearts, beautiful borders, elegant ovals, Chris Olsen

Card Recipe:
Paper: Neenah White, lavender, purple, scrap dp from my stash
Ink: Lavender, Concord Grape, Garden Green, Black
Embossing Folders: Sizzix x and o's, Cuttlebug Anna Griffin Poppies

For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my dt sisters:

Oh, Chris! This is absolutely stunning...so exquisite with the lavender shades and with the lavender sprigs stamped inside your embossed heart! Your layers are lovely, and I love this sentiment! So sweet! And I love the beautiful border you chose for the bottom...it adds a loveliness just below the beautiful seam binding! I absolutely love it, my precious friend! Warm hugs!

Chris, this is gorgeous! I just bought some pretty purple papers...can't wait to use them now! Stay in and stay warm dear friend! I'm SO tired of this winter! Still snowed and iced in here. Only time I get out is when DH is here and can take me down the hill, and back UP the hill with the truck!

Absolutely beautiful card Chris! Love all the layers and the lavender in the heart - gorgeous! Hoping you're keeping warm - I cannot really imagine what it must be like - we don't get snow where I live (I've never even seen snow!) and its sitting around a nice warm 30 degrees celsius (86 F) at the moment.
