Happy Tuesday all!! I am so sorry for taking so long to post any of my creations.  This week has been both a joyful and stressful week.  Just this past Monday, my dear hubby found out he was laid off from his job.  After just moving here 8 months ago, it is very frightening.  Since I don't have a job either, it really adds to the stress.  Thankfully we know that is in control!!!  He knows our needs and we can go to Him in prayer.  I know He will provide if we Wait on Him.  With this news, this meant that we not only had to prepare for the Holiday Tour at Our House on Sunday but also to begin putting applications out.

The tour was fun and a real success!!  I hope to share photos of a few of our decorations in our new home tomorrow or Thursday.

Today I would like to share a card that I made for the Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs which is to use the letters from the word NOEL.

For my creation I used: N- Navy and Nestabilities, O-Oval, E-Embossing, L- Layers

The image is stamped in craft or pigment ink and then embossed with Kaleidoscope embossing powder.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs- Away in a Manger
Dies: Spellbinders Oval (Petite scalloped and classic). A2 Dots
Accessories: May Arts Ribbon White, Navy ink, Kaleidoscope embossing powder

For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my dt sisters:

To see all the creations in one place or join the challenge, click here.  You have until December 16th to join us.    You do not have to use an ODBD stamp to join in, but we would love to see them if you have them.  Plus....your card will only be featured in the top 3 if you use ODBD stamps.  Anyone, however, has a chance to win the $15 certificate toward ODBD stamps.
We would love to see your creations.

I hope this creation, has somehow inspired you.

Thanks for stopping by!! I treasure all my viewers/blogging friends and their comments.

Have a blessed Day!!!

hugs and blessings,

Your card is beautiful as always Chris.

I'm so sorry about your husband being laid off, but I know He is watching over you. I always liked the saying "when the Lord closes a door, he opens a window" or something like that, I never can remember the exact words, but it's a wonderful sentiment.

Last year and the year before when my husband was laid off, we found out that our son and family needed emergency baby sitters just as he was laid off, so at least he didn't have to miss any work when we went out to help them, and we got to spend time with the grandchildren.
