ODBDSLC111 Something New, Something Old....

Happy Saturday all!! I hope you are all enjoying the weekend!! It has been beautiful weather here in Virginia, not too hot and a little breeze....PERFECT! Summer has officially begun for many in our area as all the schools are out for the summer!! In a few days, I leave for NY to spend time with my parents. I really am looking forward to it although I have to leave my hubby behind. That is the hard part....

Anywho....Today I want to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.

This week's challenge:

Since June is known as the wedding month...This week the team is challenging to make a creation using something old, something new, something borrowed or gifted, and something blue.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Friday, June 15th at 8 a.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them. As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing three or more of our participants for the Shining the Light Award . In order to qualify for this award or join the challenge, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by Friday, June 15th at 8 a.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC111. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.

This month Kelley outdid herself with some wonderful sets at Our Daily Bread Designs. One of my favorite sentiments is the Thank God set!! What a wonderful reminder!!

It says: "Happy Moments... Praise God, Difficult Moments...Seek God, Quiet Moments...Worship God, Painful Moments...Trust God, Every Moment....Thank God. "

I decided it had to be framed so that is exactly what I did:

Card Recipe:

stamps: ODBD Thank God

Paper: Prima

Accessories: Old Frame I have been hoarding, Prima and homemade flowers, lace, Martha Stewart Leaf punch

To meet the challenge I used:

Old: Frame; New- Stamp; Borrowed or given- Prima designer paper; Blue- flowers

The designer paper is antiqued with Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink.
