3. HAVE FUN!!!

Now... on to my project!!  I had so much fun creating a gift basket with the Thank You Sentiments and Grace stamp sets!!

I created a basket using my dear and talented friend Grace's basket tutorial found here I altered it a bit, however, since I wanted to make it look woven.  I cut 20 strips of kraft paper into 1/4 an 3/8 inch strips,  distressing all the sides of each strip with Tim Holtz Vintage Distressed Ink.  I then alternated the 1/4 and 3/8 strips (horizontally) around the box I created.  After I had gone to the top with horizontal strips all around the edge, I wove the strips (alternating the 1/4 inch and 3/8 strips) and snipped them to the height of the basket.

The tag on the box is created with classic ovals and Ribbon Tags Trio Three from Spellbinders.
The ribbon is a small spool of pink gingham which I have been hoarding.  The basket image is from the Thank You Sentiments stamp set.

Here is a few of the items I created for inside the basket:

The first is a bookmark created with a prayer from the Grace stamp set released today at Our Daily Bread Designs. The bookmark is framed with the Fleur De Lis Rectangles and the Antique Frames and Accents from Spellbinders. The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye Blush.

The second item is a recipe card which I shared on my blog yesterday.  If you would like a yummy apple cobbler recipe, you may want to scroll down a post or click here and check it out.

Here the outside of my recipe card using the Thank You Sentiments stamp set.

Items used for the Recipe card:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs!!  -Thank You Sentiments stamp set.
Paper: My Mind's Eye Blush
Spellbinders Tags Trio two and classic scalloped ovals and rectangles, Martha Stewart Daisy Border punch, sewing machine, Tim Holtz distress ink (vintage)

I also made gift packets of apple cinnamin tea and dried apple slices. Here is a photo of my tea bag packaging.  The apples are masked from the small basket in the Thank You Sentiments stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you are somehow inspired by my creations!!  For more inspiration, the next stop on the hop is the exceptionally talented Kathy.

Have a blessed Day!!!

hugs and blessings,
