Happy Saturday Everyone!! I hope you are all having a great beginning to your weekend!! My hubby and I are trying hard to organize our basement and attic...so much to do to unpack the remainder of our belongings but we are getting closer...Woohoo!! Soon I may be able to organize all my crafts too!! Oh how nice it will be to know where everything is!
Anywho..today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs using a sneak peek of "Dream" to be released on May 1.
Anywho..today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs using a sneak peek of "Dream" to be released on May 1.
This week's challenge:
No Designer Paper- This week we want to see creations created with your own backgrounds, embossing, or just plain cardstock….no designer paper.
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Friday, May 4th at 8 a.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.
While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them. As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing three or more of our participants for the Shining the Light Award . In order to qualify for this award or join the challenge, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by Friday, May 4th at 8 a.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery , please use the keyword is ODBDSLC106. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.
Here is my take on the challenge:
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs- Dream (Sneak Peek to be released on May 1)
Embossing Folder: Stampin Up-Textured Impressions Framed Tulips
Dies:
Spellbinders Dies: Persian Accents, Fleur De Lis Squares, Bitty Blossoms, Classic Squares
Punches: Martha Stewart Twig Punch
Lace Ribbon: May Arts
I had fun making this card without Designer Paper. I even challenged myself to make the flowers using the Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms. The larger leaves are also using the same die set. I hope to use this card for a graduation.

Happy Hump Day Everyone!! Thanks to everyone who sent words of encouragement and well wishes when I was not feeling well last week. It was greatly appreciated. Thankfully I am feeling much better. Not 100% yet but better.
Today I would like to share a card I made that I plan to use as a thank you card to a friend. The sentiment is from the recent release at Our Daily Bread Designs called Francis of Assisi. The designer paper is Basic Grey Wisteria (one of my faves!!) The sentiment is framed with Ornate Artisan Tags and Accents. The panels are cut with Spellbinders Long Classic and Scalloped Rectangles. The lavender silk bow is made with May Arts Lavender Silk ribbon and the bow easy.

Happy Saturday everyone!! Today is going to be a quick post sharing this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs since I am not feeling well. I think it is the flu and I have had it for a few days now. The only thing I feel like doing is lying in bed....I kind of look as sorry as the dog on my card today. LOL!

Happy Thursday Everyone!! I have been busy unpacking and trying to set up the house but occasionally I find a need a break and making cards with the few materials I have available to me is a welcome break.
I saw the color challenge at Splitcoaststampers on Tuesday and had to play along. The CC371 color challenge was to use white, basic grey and sahara sand. Since I had only dp with Vanilla, however, I altered the colors to include Sahara Sand, Basic Grey and Very Vanilla instead of white. I made this card for my dd's who have been having a difficult time adjusting since we moved and who really want a pet kitten. I planned to give this to them when we actually give them the kitten. The stamp set I used is called Cat Sympathy from Our Daily Bread Designs. The designer paper is Bella Bleu (retired Stampin Up Paper). The image is framed with the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Rectangles. Card Recipe: Stamps: Cat Sympathy from Our Daily Bread Designs. paper: Bella Bleu (retired Stampin Up Paper), very vanilla, sahara sand, basic grey accessories: May Arts Wrinkled ribbon, Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Rectangles, Bow Easy Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you are inspired in some way by my creation! Have a blessed day!! Off to work I go..... hugs and blessings, |

Happy Tuesday all! Sorry I have not been posting much but I am still trying to unpack and get settled in here in Virginia. Seems like there is so much to do!!! I had to take a short break and play with my stamps....
I saw yesterday's sketch at Splitcoast Stampers for the CAS challenge and although I have limited supplies (since most items are still packed after our move two weeks ago), I had to play along! I don't usually do CAS since I love to add stitching. The movers, however, dropped my sewing machine and it broke. It will be a while before I can stitch again.
For my card I used the new release Paw Prints and Dog Sympathy from Our Daily Bread Designs. The paper is Neenah White which I embossed with Provocraft Spots. The image is colored with copics and cut out with Spellbinders Ovals and Lacey Ovals. I also incorporated this week's Shining the Light challenge at ODBD (using 3 letters from the word S-P-R-I-N-G). S- is for sketch, P is for Paw Prints, R- is for Ribbon, I- is for Ink, n- is for Nestabilities, and G- is for Green.
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you are inspired in some way by my creation!
Have a blessed day!!
Off to do some more unpacking, painting, and working outdoors......

Hi All!! It has been quite a while since I last posted here. We are now in our new home but still have a lot to do to unpack and get settled. It has now been a week...We love the house but still have a lot to get used to moving 500 miles away. All in time....
Anywho...today I am popping in to share one of the darling new sets at Our Daily Bread Designs. I have missed my stamps but after not playing with them for so long I feel mojoless. It may take a bit to get myself retrained. LOL!
The set I used for my card is Cat Sympathy (an ODBD stamp set). While a lot of the sentiments are great for sending to a friend who has lost their dear pet friend, it is such a darling image for any occasion. The designer paper is not really paper, it is material. I found it at Hobby Lobby prior to our move. The image is colored with copics. The die to frame the image is a Spellbinders Floral Ovals. The ribbon is May Arts Silk tied with the bow easy.
