SSCC Everything Beautiful

Happy Sunday Everyone and Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there. What a fun day to remember our Moms who have blessed our lives in special ways. As a Mom, I reflect on how blessed by God I am to have two healthy girls who have blessed my life in so many ways!!

Today is a new Stampin Sister's in Christ Challenge!! This week's hostess is my dear friend Sabrina!!

Sabrina chose the verse:
Ecclesiastes 3:11 a (NIV) He has made everything beautiful in its time.

There are so many different ways to interpret this verse. When I think of this verse, I often think of the story of the Ugly Duckling. The little duckling was so different and shunned by even his own family. He was not like the rest. He himself thought he was ugly. He could have even questioned God on why he was so different and so ugly. God had a plan for the duckling, but it was in His timing not the ducklings. Soon he became a beautiful swan. So it is with our lives....Sometimes things don't work the way we have planned but God has a plan prosper us not to harm us...His plan may not be to have us succeed in this life but to receive a reward in heaven. We need to trust Him for His plan for our lives...

Sabrina has challenged us to:
Make a card and put all things "beautiful" on it (flowers, pearls, bling, butterflies, birds, lace, etc.)

Here is my take on the challenge:

For my card I used the Mini Tags 3 set from Our Daily Bread Designs, the Vintage Border die and Vintage border from the Porch set, the Vintage Embossing Plate, Spellbinders Mini Tags Trio Three and the

Floral 3D Precut - Morning Glory also available at ODBD.

For my card I used the embedded embossing technique for my layers. While this is more simplistic for me, I really like how it turned out.
