Good Morning! I want to start off by apologizing if I did not get to visit your blog yesterday. Yesterday ended up being a disaster. Because of all the rain, our basement flooded. That is where my craft room is! I did lose some of my supplies unfortunately but as Scott, my husband says, we can be thankful our whole house is not under water like some areas. Needless to say it was a nerve racking day here. That has never happened to us before but after 16+ inches in less then 9 days, it isn't too surprising. Today it is cloudy but no rain so hopefully the water table will settle before another 5 days of predicted rain!!! Unbelievable!!! Believe me I am praying for it to stop. I hope to be able to craft again soon but since my craft area looks like a cyclone hit it from the flood.....it may be a while.
Today, I would like to share a card I made on Wednesday for the SC223 challenge. I have a friend that just recently had a baby boy so I kept that in mind when creating this card. I used the Bundle of Love set from SU for the giraffe and sentiment. I have had this set and it was never inked up. What a cute image!
The dp is from DCWV nursery pack. I colored the image with my prisma color pencils and gamsol.

So sorry to hear of your rain problems, we're having unusual rainfall as well.
Your card is lovely. You are just the best with layers and texture, so much detail.
Awe this is adorable Chris. I love the giraffe and your beautiful papers and layout. Ooh your ribbon and sentiment are awesome - just love how you have created these. You always have such beautiful depth and texture to your cards and this is yet another fine example.
So sorry to hear your basement flooded and all the rain you are having.
Try and have a lovely weekend Chris.
Hugs,
Nicola -x-
Chris this is such a cute card. I really like all the layers and colors. Sorry you had a water problem and hope it dries out soon for you.
Chris, I love this card, the colors and texture are beautifully sweet! I also like how you flipped the sketch. I'm so sorry about the water problem, we've had a ton of rain too- today is the first time I've seen the sun in a while. Keep your chin up~ sending you lots of hugs and positive energy for a quick clean up :)
this is beautiful. those colors really are something and the black (or navy) really makes it pop.
i'm sorry to hear about your flooding and glad that it wasn't any worse.
big hugs to you,
Oh how awful Chris!! I'll be praying for the rain to stay away as well as I'd hate for the flooding to get worse for you or anyone else in your area!!

Beautiful card, Chris!! Sorry about the flooding, I've been through that a few times myself. The first time was when I was pregnant with my first....our basement had 2 feet of water in it, & that's where I had stored all our baby stuff...the crib...the stroller...what a mess!! My heart always goes out to anyone who has ANY flooding in their house....it is not fun!!
Soooooo Cute,Chris! I am sorry to hear about the flooding in your craft room.
Hugs,Connie
