Twinkles Glow with Stamps

Happy Monday Everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend. I somehow managed to get a summer cold and have felt miserable but I till had a good weekend. We did get some of our much needed rain!! Woo hoo!!

I used the adorable summer image from Stampavie called Josephine in the Watermelon Patch. She also used ivory crocheted lace, Basic Grey Indian Summer and Green at Heart dp. I just love these Stampavie images and just never can get enough of them. Unfortunately, time has been a factor in getting them inked up. I had so much fun water coloring this image!! The sentiment is from Ticket sentiments over at Whimsy (another fave set of mine for sentiments...Love the tickets!! I also incorporated this month's challenge of stitching.

Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying the weekend. I have a card to share with you for the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge. I apologize in advance for my short post. I am not feeling well and so my heart and brain aren't ready to write this post right now. Sorry!!

This week's hostess is Miesje. Miesje has chosen the verse: "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

What a comfort to know that whatever the circumstance, burden or trial you are going through, God is always there. While a friend or a loved one or even your own mother can not promise to be there for you at all times, God can!! What a comfort!!

Miesje's challenge this week is:
Make a card that symbolizes what brings you rest or peace. It could be flowers, an ocean, music, mountains, sitting with a friend, or just reading a book.

Here is my take on the challenge. Isabelle from Isabelle with Coco Puppy by Stampavie to me looks so peaceful after picking her flowers and sitting in the field, with a butterfly resting on her toe.

I had so much fun water coloring her and incorporating the Mojo Sketch.

Happy Saturday Everyone!! I hope you are having a great weekend!! I am actually hoping and praying for rain today. Boy do we ever need it, our grass is brown and our plants are dying. Besides if it rains, I can craft. LOL!

Today I have the Shining the Light Challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs to share with you.

This Week' Challenge:

The team would like you to create a card or project with a sketch that I created.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, July 15. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. Here is my take on the challenge:

I used the House Blessings and Our Daily Bread stamp set available at ODBD to create a card for my brother and sister in law who just bought a house. The dp is from Cosmo Cricket. I pleated and sewed the ribbon.

Before I go to my creation, I also wanted to mention that today Wags n Whiskers is releasing the last two stamp releases as digital stamps!! Now you can purchase the Fun in the Sun and Let's Play sports release as digital stamps!

O.k. now on to my creation....I used the Wags n Whiskers image: Joy Ride for my card. I used a fern stamp from SU for my background tree. The rest of the background is sponged with ink. The ribbon is celery silk ribbon. Much of the SEI dp is embossed. I punched my border along the bottom with MS Shells border punch. The layout uses the sketch from Papertake Weekly.

Happy Thursday Everyone!! I hope you are all having a good day and enjoying your week. It has been a very busy and hot week for us here with temps over 100 degrees and humid!! Yuck!! My trees and grass are beginning to die for lack of water. Boy do we need rain!!
