Hi! I am Chris, also known as Glowbug on Splitcoaststampers. I live in Appomattox, VA. I so much enjoy blogging and the so many good friendships that have formed as a result. During my free time, I am creating cards or projects and I so enjoy Challenges. I have a very supportive husband, Scott, who understands my addiction and two young daughters,Meghan, 9 and Nicki, 12 years of age, who can't wait to get their hands on my stamps and embellishments. I was an elementary school teacher until my youngest was born. I have now been blessed with the opportunity to teach my two girls at home. I use stamping as a hobby or way to escape.

Happy Thursday!  I hope everyone is having a good summer.  I have begun homeschooling my girls but this week we moved our classroom to a campground.  We work on our schoolwork in the a.m. and have recreation all afternoon.

Anywho...today it is time for another Divine Diva Inspiration challenge.  Lori sent each of us this photo to be inspired with:

I was inspired by the sage panels, the distressed wood as  well as the big bloom in the photo.  So...I wiped off the dust on my Bella Blooms set from SU!!  I so love my SU sets and I use them so infrequently.  How sad!!  I really enjoyed creating with this stamp set.  I used one of the layouts from the Dirty Dozen challenges this past summer.

For more inspiration, please visit my dt sisters:

Hope you are inspired to come and play along with the Divine Diva Challenge. Just leave a comment here with a link to your card. We can't wait to see what you create! The keyword for uploading on SCS will be DDIC.

~ If for any reason you cannot leave a comment, please give us the name/s of the designers you were unable to leave comments for... and you'll still be qualified for the drawing.

Here is my creation:

For my card I used the Peace, Brocade Borders, and Brocade Background (stamped in versamark and embossed in Kaleidoscope embossing powder on not quite navy in the circle panel).  The dp is Retired SU paper-Urban Garden.  The corners are created with the Cuttlebug Vintage corners.  The butterfly uses the SU Sizzix Butterfly Die.  My layout uses an old sketch from Sketches for you to Try designed by Jen.

Thanks for stopping by today and for your sweet comments.  The next stop on the hop is the ever so talented and sweet Grace.

Have a blessed day!!

Welcome to the Your Next Stamp 'Fall into Halloween' BLOG HOP! This is my first of 3 blog hops today.  I'm sure you've guessed from the title that we're showcasing some fabulous new YNS Fall and Halloween stamps today! These new stamps are available to buy right now from the Your Next Stamp store along with all your YNS favourites.
Not only do we have a fantastic blog hop for you, but today is also the official start of the new YNS DT term!  This is my first creation as a Your Next Stamp Designer!! Wahoo!! Today is also a YNS Challenge day too, so we're combining our hop creations with our YNS Challenge #24 creations!
YNSC24 will run for 2 weeks as per usual (September 1-14) and although the DT have used Fall and Halloween stamps, the theme for this challenge is 'Anything Goes'.
If you would like to participate in the hop and you didn't arrive here from Beth's blog, please CLICK HERE to return to the start of the hop at the YNS Challenge blog, as you don't want to miss these fab new releases!  Each one of the designers were sent different stamps to showcase and there is lots of inspiration along the way!!
The hop starts today (Wednesday September 1st at 03:00 EST) and ends on Monday September 6th at midnight EST.

As always  Your Next Stamp, has some wonderful prizes for you to win!  Two lucky winners will be drawn at random to each receive a new release stamp package, but please make sure you comment at every stop along the hop to be eligible to be entered into the draw.
We'd love you to join us over at our new Paper Craft Planet (PCP) Group, and so as an added incentive, anyone that becomes a member of our YNS PCP Group will automatically receive a second entry into the blog hop grand prize draw!  How great is that?  (It's free and easy to join PCP by the way!)
Not only is Karen offering two amazing prizes, she's also going to include a free surprise gift with every order placed at http://www.yournextstamp.com during the hop!  And that's not all ... if you join our YNS Group over at PCP, you'll also be personally emailed an exclusive PCP-YNS-Group-only YNS store discount code!
So onto my blog hop creation!  I have used Autumn Greeting Leaf Frame stamp set.....This set includes the leaf frame as well as the Autumn greetings sentiment.  I wanted to make a fall creation with a touch of elegance so I colored my leaves with copics to match my Basic Grey Indian Summer paper and embossed the sentiment in gold.  For more elegance I embossed the frame in gold as well.

So now it's time for you to hop on over to Maureen's blog as she is the next stop on our hop, but don't forget to leave me a comment before you go!

Thanks so much for hopping with us today!  I hope you enjoy our new release! I hope you are able to visit my blog later again today for the Our Daily Bread Designs (8:00 a.m. EST) and Whimsy blog hops (12pm EST) as well.

blessings,
