ODBDSLC280 Vintage Christmas Ornament

Hello Friends!! I hope this email finds you all well!! It is hard to believe we are already more than 1/2 way through November and that in a few days it is Thanksgiving! Christmas is just around the corner!

Today I would like to share a card I made for this month's sketch challenge at ODBD Shining the Light. It was a very fun Christmas card to create!

The image was colored with copics and then matted on an ornament cut out with the Christmas Ornaments die in gold. The background is created by embossing rather than cutting out with the Snowflake Sky.

Special ODBD Holiday Release!!

Hello Friends!! Today ODBD is having a special holiday release with a few wonderful dies and stamps that will make your card making, projects or scrapbooking fun but also Beautiful!!

The first project I am sharing is created with the Holly Oval die and the Holly Jolly paper collection as well as the previously released, Merry and Bright, Merry Mosaic dies, Peaceful Poinsettia dies, Bitty Borders Dies and Lovely Leaves dies. The book fold is created with the precut and prescored Book Fold kit available in the ODBD store.

My second creation uses the newly released Ornaments stamp set, coordinating Christmas Ornament dies, Holly Oval die, and Holly Jolly Paper Collection as well as the previously released Pre-cut and Pre-scored Center Step Fold, Bitty Borders dies, Pierced Rectangles, Mini Bow dies, Circle die, and Pierced Circles dies.

ODBDSLC280 May Your Days Be Merry and Bright

Hello Friends!! I hope this post finds you all well.

For many in the USA this is a big day and feel the elections can make a huge difference in this country. While I will share some words about my thoughts (not my political views!!) later in this post, I want to share a card I created for the Shining the Light Challenge at ODBD first.

This weeks challenge (ODBDSLC280) is a sketch! For my creation I used the new Merry and Bright Stamp set, the Snow Crystals die, Christmas lights die, and the Snowflake Season Paper Collection as well as the previously released Double Stitched Rectangles, Pierced Circles and Circles dies.

No on to my thoughts for today....

For many in the USA we are all awaiting with baited breath over the results of today's presidential election. It seems like the life of the USA as we know it is all resting on it's outcome. All who rest in Him and trust in God's providence know, however, while the future of our country rests on events here on earth, God is in control and will allow what occurs. I am sure I will have to remind myself of this tonight as I watch the news as well.

Hello, Friends!! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs November New Release!! You won't want to miss the inspiration from the bread basket using the new release or the chance to win!! This month there are an abundance of gorgeous stamps and dies!! Perfect for making both CAS or elaborate cards for Christmas. You are going to love them!

My first creation uses the new stamp set Merry and Bright as well as the new Snowflake Sky Background, Snowflake Crystals Die, Christmas Lights Die, and the Snowflake Season Paper Collection. The fold I created is a Book Fold design using the Pre Cut Book Fold Cards from the ODBD Store. The inside is decorated with the Snowflake Season Paper Collection layered on Metallic Gold Cardstock. The sentiment is from the Merry and Bright Stamp set and is framed with the Circles and Pierced Circles dies. The opposite panel includes a snowflake using a variety of snowflake dies from the Snowflake Crystals dies that are layered using white glitter cardstock, silver metallic cardstock, gold metallic cardstock, and red cardstock.

The outside of the card is decorated with the Snowflake Sky background, another layered snowflake created with the Snowflake Crystals die layered on the Snowflake Season Paper Collection framed with the Circles and Pierced Circles dies. The sentiment is from the Merry and Bright stamp set.

My second creation is more simplistic using a traditional fold created with the Merry and Bright stampset (sentiment) as well as the new Snowflake Sky Background, and Snowflake Crystals Die. The sentiment is framed with the Antique Labels die.

The cardstock used for this card uses Neenah White, silver metallic cardstock, real red, and black.
