Happy Tuesday Everyone!! I am now back from my camping trip...I am dragging a bit trying to get things put away, cleaning, and homeschooling the girls..but I did manage to make an easel card early this a.m. for this week's Inky Impressions challenge. As many of you may know, I was an Inky Impressions Inkette for quite a while and this summer they took a break. While I am not on the team any longer, I wanted to welcome Nicole, Inky's Mama, back to the stamping world with a card for her challenge in her honor. Welcome back Nicole! I hope you have a successful and fun season with all the talented girls on the team. Nicole at Inky Impressions will be coming out with a new fall release soon. I am sure they will be darling!!
For my card I used one my fave image from Inky Impressions Nickie's birdie that was released last year. I love this summery image and thought it would make a fun birthday card for my niece this month.
I added lots of sparkle, stitching, and and details to my creation. Nickie is colored with copics and prisma color pencils and gamsol. The background is inked and chalked.

Happy Friday Everyone! I hope everyone has had a good week. Happy Belated Canada Day to all my Canadian Friends and happy July 4th to all my US friends (if I don't see you on Sunday)!
This is my first July 4th being home for the past seven years. Usually we are camping on July 4th but we went for our vacation earlier this year. I think next year we will return to our usual time since Scott and I are sort of dreading that we are not going this year. Oh well....We have picnics and fireworks with friends as well as some time to spend with my parents so what more can I ask for right?
Today I want to share a fun summertime image from Inky Impressions. The Inky Team has been taking a break for the summer (the store is still open though) and so I have not posted many Inky images as of late not because I do not like the images but just because LIFE HAS BEEN CRAZY BUSY! The break came at a good time for me. I did receive some summertime images that I was eager to ink up, however, so I just had to sneak in an Inky. This image is one of my fave Inky images ever: Water Lili.

The layout is this week's Sketch For You To Try by Jen del Muro. My image is water colored. The dp is from October Afternoon.
Stampin B's - summer vacation
Ooh La La Creations -simply summer
All Sorts- embossing I used dry embossing)
Papertake Weekly-stitching
Practical Scrappers- border punches (MS Summer time punch)
My Time to Craft- Zig Zags
Simon Says Stamp- checks (plaid paper)
Meljen's Designs- Red white and blue

Happy hump day everyone!! It is hard to believe it is Wednesday already. The week is just flying by. Today looks like a hot one here!! Almost 100 degrees and VERY HUMID. Life is always so eventful at the Olsen household. Monday my hubby came home from the Emergency room after slicing two of his fingers on sheet metal and needing stitches...yesterday my youngest daughter woke up with a rash on her face we thought she had hives...well it wasn't hives...it is poison ivy. This a.m she woke up and it is worse...now her eyes are almost swollen shut.
Since Meghan is miserable my time is limited today. So today is a short post.
The card I created today uses Angelica's Heart Socks from Inky Impressions. I used the Crazy 4 Sketch for this week.
I made it to coordinate with this box that I created with Bag it Up template by Leigh Ann Baird available at the Wild flower Patch shop.
I will add more to this post later...I just got a doctor appointment for my daughter and I need to take her right now. Have a great day!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am back...looks like Meghan does not have poison ivy just a very severe allergic reaction! Yikes!
anywho....
here is the recipe and deets for my card...
card recipe:
Stamps: Angelica's Heart Socks from Inky Impressions
Paper: Bella rose dp, Old olive, bitter chocolate Bazill
accessories: Kiwi kiss ribbon, felt flower, buttons, silver baubles, MS butterfly punch, circle spellbinders
challenges:
Pollycraft Monday challenge: buttons and butterflies
Crazy 4 challenge- Sketch
Flutter By Wednesday- open with butterflies, angel or fairy
Digi Doodle Shop Best: # 8 Sparkle, Glitter, Glitz
crazy challenge: it is a girl thing
Charisma Cards- 3D (my image is paper toled and popped up) (plus box is 3D)
Ooh La La - Bright and Cheerful
ABC Challenge - Unused stash (felt flower)
Crafty Ann's - lot's of color-can be many colors or mostly one color-I went with lots of bright colors
Practical scrappers: felt
Incy Wincy: button up
Totally Gorjuss: Bling it on- silver baubles and rhinestones
Stamp something: use two of something - two dps
Thanks for stopping by today and for all your comments! Have a great day!
hugs,
Chris
Happy Hump Day Everyone!! I hope you are all having a great week!! Unfortunately the weather has been very dreary and raining and both my girls are sick. Now that is depressing!!! They must have caught some sort of flu in Virginia....
Anywho...Today is Wednesday and time for another Inky Impressions Challenge...
This weeks challenge will be going on for TWO WEEKS so you have plenty of time to come and join the fun. No need to use Inky Images but if you have them we would love to see you use them!!!! To be eligible to get Inked by the Inkettes you must have all creations uploaded to Mr. Linky by May 31st by Midnight Eastern Time. We can't wait to see your creations!!!
Happy Wednesday Everyone! Boy is it busy at blogland for me. Today I have several posts for you with so many fun images. First, I have a sneak peak of a new release for you from Wags n Whiskers called Sip n Sun which will be available on Friday!! I colored it in with prisma color pencils and gamsol. I am so sorry that the photo seems so dark. No sun here in this neck of the woods lately!
I decided to make a criss cross card and used some of my fave dp from SEI. The gorgeous prima is from Stamp and Create and is available here.
For more sneak peaks, please visit my dt sisters: Christa, Debbie, Jeanette, Jacqui, Karen, Lacey, Michelle, Nikki, Sharon, Tina, Melanie Holtz and Renata van Miltenburg
We will also be having sneak peaks tomorrow!! You won't want to miss the fun...And on Friday...we will have a blog hop!! We hope to see you there!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since today is Wednesday, it is also time for another Inky Impressions Challenge!! This week the team is challenging you to create a summer time card or project!! I know I am looking forward to summer, so this was a fun challenge for me.
Our weather has been up and down like a seesaw. One Day 36 degrees F and the next 56 degrees and 85 the next. Then it plunges again. Weird weather for sure!!
Anywho, enough babbling....
Here is my take on the challenge:
I used this week's Friday Sketchers Sketch for my creation. This image is called Shy Little Nikki from Inky Impressions. The dp is some Basic Grey Sultry. I used the lace on the left to create a flower behind the image.
I think the lace and the distressing give this creation a sort of vintage flair.
I hope you can join the Inky challenge! You need not use an Inky Impressions stamp to join the challenge, but if you have them, we would love to see them! If you do join the fun, please leave a direct link here.
For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my dt sisters:

My take on the sketch:
Today I have two cards to share with you for this sketch. The first uses an image from
D' Amour Allure called Annabelle. I used Basic Grey Kioshi dp. I had fun coloring her with prisma color pencils and gamsol. The background I dry embossed with swiss dots. The panel behind the image is dry embossed with victoria. I enjoyed adding just a few em bellishments, sewing, a prima flower, lace, and punched borders.
My second creation uses Angelica's Bunny Hugs from Inky Impressions. Isn't she just darling. I water colored her and popped her up on dimensionals. The border on the side of the image uses a pendant die from the Lotus Pendant Spellbinders set. I punched out 8 of these circular dies and placed them behind the image. This SEI Morning Meadow dp is one of my faves!! I just love the aqua!!
Challenges:
Sew Many cards: Anything goes
Creative Belli Challenge- Die Cuts (both creations)
Your Next Stamp - Stitching (card one)

Happy Hump Day Everyone!! I can't believe it is Wednesday already. Wow! Where does the time go!! Today is the day to share another Inky Impressions challenge and a Flutterby Wednesday. They are both fun challenges and perfect for combining.
Flutter by Wednesdays challenge is a sketch created for Flutter By Wednesday by Mercy and to use a butterfly, fairy and/or angel on your creation!! I just love Mercy's sketches!! Should you create something for this challenge, please leave a direct link to Mr. Linky here. If you upload to PCP and Splitcoast, please use the keyword FBW.

The Inky Impressions challenge is a two week challenge due before Midnight on May 3. This week's Inky challenge is a recipe: 3 layers, 2 designer papers, 3 embellishments and a ribbon. I just love how perfect it works with Mercy's sketch!! If you create a card or project using this challenge please a direct link here. You don't need to use an Inky Impressions image for the challenge but if you have them, we would love to see them.
Here is my take on both challenges using the recipe, the sketch, and Lili Rollerskating. I had so much fun paper piecing her with Sassafrass Daisy Dots paper an water coloring her. I did some stitching but limited it due to there mostly being one base layer. I added lots of sparkle on the frame, heart on her shirt and butterflies.
I hope you enjoyed today challenges and you too are inspired to join the fun. For more inspiration, please visit my dt sisters at Flutter By Wednesday for the sketch, butterfly, angel or fairy at these links:Danni , Michelle , Alex, Ann, Brandi, Christine, Debby, Harriet, Jodi, Karen, Kimberly, Kris, Kristie, Lelia, Nancy, Randi, and Shana.For more inspiration for the Inky Impressions Recipe Challenge, please visit my dt sisters: Crystal, Beth, Angela, Cheryl, Domi, Jackie, Kim D, Kim Y, Pam
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you have a great day!! Thanks for your sweet comments. They are truly appreciated!!

Happy Hump Day Everyone!! It is Wednesday and time for another Flutter By Wednesday challenge!! For today's FBW challenge it is open for you to do whatever you want. We just ask that you use a butterfly, fairy or angel. Check out the details on the FBW Blog.
I was challenged by a dear friend to make a layout...I have never done one before! I enjoy pictures and paper crafting but just never tried one. It was a little comfort zone but I did it!! Woo hoo!! I had some sweet pictures from Easter of my girls so I made a layout to frame it.
I used Anna Griffin Paper (Isabelle) and a digi from Greeting farm called Chibi Lolli. The gorgeous glittery Prima butterfly I got from Stamp and Create here. The Easter sentiment is from ODBD Easter Blessings set which I framed in the Fancy Tags die from spellbinders. I then added some stitching and pearl flourishes from ZVA Creative and wa-la done!!
I made this card for yesterday's CC266 Blushing Coral Rubies using an Inky Impressions Image - Nikki's Birdie and some retired SU paper (unsure of the name). The layout uses the Die Cuts r Us Sketch for this week. The Lace trim is from Joanne's and the lace is from Wright. I water colored my image with SU markers (ruby red, crushed curry, blush blossom, and cameo coral- all of which are retiring this year- boo hoo!!)
other challenges:Stamp scrap doodle - Birthday
Simon says Stamp: movies and dry embossing (Cinderella)
Sew Many Cards Challenge- Lets see some stitching
Stamp Something- stitching
Raise The Bar #13 "Let's Spring For It"
My Time To Craft - pretty pearls
The Corrosive Challenge - Texture
Crafty Angels - My Favorite Things
Practical scrappers- glitter and bling (my layout)
Papertake Weekly- cutie pie
Creative Card Crew: Happy Birthday
Abc challenge- S is for Sparkle (both creations have glitter)
Pink Elephant challenge - 1 image, 2 die cuts and 3 fave embellishments ( I used it on my card which included 1 image, 2 oval die cuts, and pearls, lace and ribbon)
Pollycraft Monday Challenge- pink and brown plus yellow or green (my layout with pink, dark brown, and green
Cupcake Craft Challenge- Childhood memories- both bring memories- nursing a hurt bird as a child and dressing up for Easter
I hope my creations inspire you to create!! If you do create a card or project with a butterfly, angel or fairy please leave a direct link here. For more inspiration, please visit my dt sisters. Their links are on my sidebar.
Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments!!

It is hard to believe it is already April!! Where does the time go? We are also almost through the first full week in April too yet... The weather has been unusually warm for here at this time of year...not that I am complaining...I LOVE it!!
Well Anywho...since it is Wednesday it is time for another challenge for Inky Impressions and Flutter By Wednesdays!!
For this weeks Inky Impressions challenge we want to see you Charm IT, use a charm on your card or project!! This weeks challenge will be going on for TWO WEEKS so you have plenty of time to come and join the fun. No need to use Inky Images but if you have them we would love to see you use them!!!! To be eligible to get Inked by the Inkettes you must have all creations uploaded to Mr. Linky by April 19th by Midnight Eastern Time. We can't wait to see your creations this week!!!
Here is my take on the challenge...
I water colored Lili Beach Bound with water colors. The dp is Basic Grey Lemonade. The sandal charm is one of many new charms that Nicole is carrying in the store. My layout uses the Friday Sketchers Sketch.
For more inspiration for the Inky Impressions challenge, please visit my dt sisters:
This week Flutter By Wednesdays is having a sponsor...my dear friend and our past design team member Stef!!! Stef has her own very own line of digis!! She provided the team with a few of her butterflies for this weeks challenge!!
Since Stef's blog title is Glitterbabe and she loves sparkle, this week's Flutter By Wednesday challenge is to include sparkle on your card or project!!
I had a great time using on of Stef's digi's to make a top notch box as a gift for a friend The box is created using a template from Leigh Ann Baird. I colored in the image with copics and then added lots of glitter (although it is hard to see in this photo).
I hope you enjoyed my creation!! For more inspiration for the Flutter By Wednesday challenge, please visit my dt sisters:

Happy Wednesday!! It is hard to believe half the week is gone already!! Happy St. Patrick's Day!! I sure hope your week is going better than mine thus far. My dear husband has been home sick all week, I have been suffering a migraine (which is why I haven't commented much....it makes me seriously ill on the computer), and now my youngest has come down with a fever and flu. I am praying my daughter Nicki and I escape this flu..... Anywho..... Welcome to another Flutter By Wednesday and Inky Impressions challenge!!
Today at the Flutter By Wednesday challenge we would like to a creation with green or shamrocks and a butterfly, fairy or angel on it. If you have any Paper Make Up Stamps (PMS), we would love to see you use them since they are this week's sponsor. They have offered one participant who adds their creation to Mr. Linky a bonus prize. You can check out the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge for more details. Should you participate in this challenge, please leave a direct post to Mr. Linky here. Should you upload your creation to SC or PCP, please use the keyword FBW.
For today's creation, I do not have any PM stamps (Yet!!), so I created a Spring Basket using a template from Leigh Ann Baird. I have had so much fun making gift boxes from Perfect Presentation.
The stamps used for this basket include Bunny Buddies retired from Stampin UP. Isn't he sweet. The dp is from DCWV Nursery Pack. The handle is created with the MS Garden Trellis.
I hope you enjoyed my Spring basket today!!! For lots of inspiration,

Now it is time to share this week's Inky Impressions challenge. Since it is March we thought it would be fun to THINK GREEN but not the color green...we mean Recycle or Reuse. This weeks challenge will be going on for TWO WEEKS so you have plenty of time to come and join the fun. No need to use Inky Images but if you have them we would love to see you use them!!!! To be eligible to get Inked by the Inkettes you must have all creations uploaded to Mr. Linky here by March 29th by Midnight Eastern time.
Here is my creation for the Inky Impressions challenge:
This is a lunchbox I made using Lauren Meader's Lunch box template and some SU paper and scrap pieces Creative Imaginesce. My recycled piece is the background behind Shy Little Nikki. It is actually a cut out from A Spring Hill Bulb Catalog. Isn't a perfect background?!! It looks like it was meant for her. I colored Nikki in with water colors and popped her on dimensionals framed in a Lattice Spellbinders die. The border around the middle is a MS heart border punch.
