Happy Hump day everyone!! I hope you are all doing well and have had some time to do some crafting!!

Since it is Wednesday today it is time for another Flutter By Wednesday!! This one is a sad one for me, however, since it is my last post as a Flutter By Wednesday team member. I have resigned from the team after being on it for a full year to allow others the opportunity to be on the Flutter By Wednesday team. I have so enjoyed the challenges, our super talented and sweet hostess, Danni, and the friendships I have made with the awesome team!!! You girls are so dear and special to me!! Please know I will still be following you all and playing the challenges when time allows. You will be missed!!

Anywho...here is today's challenge....Create a card or project which is Clean and Simple (CAS) and includes a fairy, butterfly, or angel on your creation.

CAS means so many different things to so many different people ...I made a creation using the a sneak peak set from Our Daily Bread Designs called As You Graduate. I thought it was CAS for me. No sewing, no coloring...but it does have several layers and lots of embossing....

So I said last night at 3 a.m. I should really make another. I used the same As You Graduate Stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs that will be released on May 1. This is CAS cause I was tired and wanted some sleep. I did add some sewing but this card has a lot of white and very little coloring. This to me is CAS. What do you think?

I hope you can join the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge. If you do, please leave a direct link to your creation here. If you upload your creation to SC or PCP, please use the keyword FBW.
For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my dt sisters: Danni , Michelle , Alex, Ann, Brandi, Christine, Debby, Harriet, Jodi, Karen, Kimberly, Kris, Kristie, Lelia, Nancy, Randi, and Shana.

I hope you have a great day!! Thanks for stopping by and for all your warm comments!! I so enjoy reading them!!

Chris

This week's sketch

"YOUR CHOICE"
Enter one style or both this week.
Just have fun and come play with us :)

My take on the sketch:

Today I have two cards to share with you for this sketch.
The first uses an image from

D' Amour Allure called Annabelle. I used Basic Grey Kioshi dp. I had fun coloring her with prisma color pencils and gamsol. The background I dry embossed with swiss dots. The panel behind the image is dry embossed with victoria. I enjoyed adding just a few em bellishments, sewing, a prima flower, lace, and punched borders.

My second creation uses Angelica's Bunny Hugs from Inky Impressions. Isn't she just darling. I water colored her and popped her up on dimensionals. The border on the side of the image uses a pendant die from the Lotus Pendant Spellbinders set. I punched out 8 of these circular dies and placed them behind the image. This SEI Morning Meadow dp is one of my faves!! I just love the aqua!!

Challenges:

Sew Many cards: Anything goes
Creative Belli Challenge- Die Cuts (both creations)
Your Next Stamp - Stitching (card one)
Pennys - Open week
Clearly I Stamp - All Tied Up - Lace & Ribbon (card one and party favor cone)

Pile It On - sweet(card 2- isn't the little girl with the bunny so sweet!)
Our Creative Corner - blossoms
Daring Cardmakers - use die cuts
stamp, scrap and doodle...sparkle and shine (card 2 with the sparkly flower and the embossed image)

No matter what life brings she is there with a smile to cheer you on!! This is not a goodbye from me Carolyn since our friendship goes beyond being dt sisters, but a wishing you well in your future endeavors and the time you will be spending with family. Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend! I did not do too much in the way of crafting but rather had some quality family time and some time to work out in the yard. Sometimes it is good to take a break from crafting to stay fresh with ideas and some added excitement when you get back into it. In the coming weeks there are going to be some fun new releases, so today it is back to getting busy!!!!

This week the product spotlight at Stamp & Create is Wags ‘n Whiskers. Since it is the product spotlight, it also means it is 25% off!! I created a card using the adorable Bear Hug!! I used some colors I don't normally use to match the Basic Grey Green at Heart Paper and Basic Grey Nook and Pantry. I incorporated the Going Grey With Snap Creations challenge to use three embellishments and use Basic Grey dp.The sketch was from this past Tuesday's 70th sketch at Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.

Stamps: Wags n Whiskers: Bear Hugs , SU Priceless (flourish)

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Basic Grey Green at Heart Paper, Basic Grey Nook and Pantry

Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are all having a great weekend!! It was nice today as I was typing this (this is scheduled on Sat.) but today, Sunday it is suppose to be rainy. I am very thankful, however, since we really need the rain here. It is so dry!! We are suppose to have a church picnic after church which will be a rainy affair but oh well.....

Anywho.... today I have a Stampin Sister's in Christ challenge to share with you. This week's hostess is the ever so sweet and talented Randi.
Randi has chosen the verse: Ex. 20:12 Honor your father and your Mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God gives you.

I count myself blessed to still have both my parents here to show respect and learn from. I have lost my mother in law but her testimony and faith live on. Each and every one of us who have Christian parents are so blessed to have our parents to guide us even as adults. Soon it will be Mother's Day so this is an appropriate time to thank God for our Mothers. They have a special place in our hearts and lives.

Randi's Challenge is: Make a Mother's Day Card or project for your Mom or someone special you would like to honor this Mother's Day.

Here is my take on the challenge:
For my card I used the Happy Mother's Day set from Our Daily Bread Designs. I tried to give it a touch of elegance with my sewing and embellishing.

Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs: Happy Mother's Day
Paper: SEI Claire, cs
Embellishments and tools: Spellbinders Lattice Borders, Spellbinders Lotus, pink satin ribbon, silver baubles, pink ZVA creative pearls, cameo roses, Belle Arts Novelty prima roses

Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge 11 - make a Mother's Day card
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge - lots of flowers
Our Creative Corner - use blooming blossoms on your card
Shirley's 2 Girls: Spring with a twist- flowers

Happy Hump Day Everyone!! I can't believe it is Wednesday already. Wow! Where does the time go!! Today is the day to share another Inky Impressions challenge and a Flutterby Wednesday. They are both fun challenges and perfect for combining.

Flutter by Wednesdays challenge is a sketch created for Flutter By Wednesday by Mercy and to use a butterfly, fairy and/or angel on your creation!! I just love Mercy's sketches!! Should you create something for this challenge, please leave a direct link to Mr. Linky here. If you upload to PCP and Splitcoast, please use the keyword FBW.

The Inky Impressions challenge is a two week challenge due before Midnight on May 3. This week's Inky challenge is a recipe: 3 layers, 2 designer papers, 3 embellishments and a ribbon. I just love how perfect it works with Mercy's sketch!! If you create a card or project using this challenge please a direct link here. You don't need to use an Inky Impressions image for the challenge but if you have them, we would love to see them.

Here is my take on both challenges using the recipe, the sketch, and Lili Rollerskating. I had so much fun paper piecing her with Sassafrass Daisy Dots paper an water coloring her. I did some stitching but limited it due to there mostly being one base layer. I added lots of sparkle on the frame, heart on her shirt and butterflies.

I hope you enjoyed today challenges and you too are inspired to join the fun. For more inspiration, please visit my dt sisters at Flutter By Wednesday for the sketch, butterfly, angel or fairy at these links:Danni , Michelle , Alex, Ann, Brandi, Christine, Debby, Harriet, Jodi, Karen, Kimberly, Kris, Kristie, Lelia, Nancy, Randi, and Shana.

Here is our sketches:

"YOUR CHOICE"
Enter one style or both this week.
Just have fun and come play with us :)

My take on the sketches:
Today I will be sharing two cards with you using this sketch. One more girly and the other masculine.

This first card is created with one of Chelsea's Gurlee Girl images called Lexi Girl. I used Basic Grey Euphoria paper for my background and for paper piecing her bathing suit. The rest of the image is water colored and popped up on dimensionals. The top beach border uses an EK Success Border punch. The luscious lace and stunning prima flower are from Stamp and Create. Each of the circles are dry embossed with swirls, swiss dots, and Victoria Provo Craft folders.

The second card I would like to share is a masculine card I made for my nephew using the adorable Whimsy Turtle and the Whimsy Circle Postmark sentiment set. I thought since I was fashionably late for his birthday it would be very appropriate to use a SLOW turtle. Isn't he just darling.

I colored my image in with water colors and distressed all the edges on my card. The layout uses today's Midnight Madness Sketch challenge. The dp is Basic Grey Marakech. I added some stitching with some thicker thread to make it more masculine. The colors are inspired by the inspiration at My Grafico Challenge

My Whimsy dt sister, Debbie E. also asked many of us at Whimsy to be guest at today's challenge at Spoon Full of Sugar as well since Whimsy is the sponsor!! What fun!! Today's challenge there was to create a birthday card. This second card is my entry for this challenge. Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope everyone is having a great weekend!! Although it has been quite chilly and cloudy here, it has been going well.

Since today is Sunday, I have a new challenge for you from Stampin Sisters in Christ which is hosted by my sweet dt sister: Candace.

Candace chose the verse: Isaiah 40:8 "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever." How true this is...as we go into spring with all the pretty flowers and the green grass, we are reminded that this is temporary for Spring and Summer but when winter comes, they are gone. God's presence and Word is here each and every day and in every circumstance, joy and sorrow. What hope we have in Him!! When others are not there, He is!!
The challenge to accompany this verse this week is: Use flowers on your card or project.

This week's Sponsor is Michelle Perkett. Michelle has so many awesome and fun digitals, check out the Stampin Sister in Christ Challenge for this week's Sponsor prize.

Here is my take on this week's challenge using Lauren Meader's Shutterfly box template, Sing to the Lord image from ODBD, and Friendship from Our Daily Bread Designs. The background is embossed in Victoria and Swiss dots Provo Craft folders. My image was water colored.

For more inspiration, please visit my dt sisters:
Candace , Grace , Kathy, Kristine , Linda, Lisa, Peggysue, Randi

If you should create a card or project for this challenge, please leave a direct link here. Should you upload your creation to SC or PCP, please use the keyword SSIC35.

Card Drive:

This week my Stampin Sister in Christ dt sister, Kristine, learned of a Christian Kindergarten teacher who was in a terrible car accident. She taught her oldest daughter a few years ago. Her name is Cathy Downing.

By the looks of her car afterwards here, it's a miracle that she is alive! Angels were definitely watching over her -- God must still have a plan for her here. *Ü* Her family has set up a page at Caring Bridges network to post updates on how Cathy's doing.

Card Drive

Of course prayers are always appreciated!! But Kristine would love to hold a card drive too. She knows that there are so many caring stampers out there who's beautifully hand-made card can bless someone's life in such a positive way and so we are passing that opportunity on to all of YOU!

If you'd like to send Cathy a card, please email Kristine, to get her address. She will leave it open for the next few weeks and then she and her daughters will pass them on to Miss Cathy. We would greatly appreciate any cards that can be shared to send on to Miss Cathy to encourage her.

Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments!! Have a blessed Sunday.

Happy Saturday!! I hope everyone has had a good beginning to their weekend!! Since it is Saturday, it is time for another Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge. This week's challenge is to use recycling (you can use something recycled on your creation or use a technique with a recycled item to create your card).

As with all our challenges, we have added more fun to this challenge by having a $15 certificate as a prize (randomly selected) to one challenge participant. Entries must be entered by Thursday night at 8 p.m. for a chance to win. You are not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps but if you have them we would love to see them. If you do create a card or project for this challenge, please use the keyword ODBDSLC10 when uploading to any online galleries and link your creation to Mr. Linky here.

Now on to my creation for this challenge:
For my creation I used a prima flower container I saved. The image I used is from our
Daily Bread Designs Happy Birthday.
The sentiment is from the Mom set at ODBD. I colored my image is with copics.
I framed the image with my scalloped circles and Lattice pendant spellbinders.
The lace is something I have been hoarding which is now gone. Boo hoo!

Happy Friday everyone!! The weekend is upon us!! Woo hoo!! It looks like rain for the next three days but oh well....it is the weekend!! Guess it just forces me to stay inside and clean my house and make cards or projects!!! Woo hoo!!
Well today is Friday so it is time for another Wags n Whiskers Challenge!! This week my oh so talented dt sister and Wags n Whiskers co-owner Lacey is asking you to:

Use Ribbon on your card or paper project
How easy it that? ..... so no excuses not to play along with us!

To play our challenges you must use a Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Stamp.... or...... Digi as your main image to be entered into the prize drawing.
If you don't have any Wags 'n Whiskers, then it's time to go shopping. You can pick up your rubber here.... or for those who like almost instant gratification.... Digi's HERE.

Here is my take on the challenge!! Since there are so many challenges out there with April Showers bring May flowers, I thought I would use the darling Love You Sis image from Wags n Whiskers illustrated by Crissy Armstrong. For some extra fun, I decided to paper piece it with some of my fave Basic Grey Paper Lily Kate!! This image is very appropriate for today's weather! LOL!The yummy flowers are available at Lacey's Stamp and create store here (Lemon trellis big rose) and here (Smaller rose).
