Hello Friends!!  Today is the last day of January! I can't believe we are already through the first month in the new year!  Wow! Time flies!

I don't often share masculine cards since I don't feel it is my strength but today I am going to share a card I created using the Living Water stamp set.  This image is so fun to color!! It has a lot of sparkle since glitter was added to the snow and water.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Living Water
Paper: Silver Metallic, black , White card stock (blue panel is white cardstock sponged)

As I look at the world around us and the constant bickering and persecution that takes place, I am reminded that God does not promise us peace.  In fact he tells us wars and rumors or war or constant turmoil will continue through our lives until He comes back. As I watch the news each day I think to myself how much worse can this world become.  I have to remember where my strength comes from.  My strength comes from God alone.  I can not depend on government or people nor can you.  Remember today that you are not alone!

May you be blessed today!! I hope you have enjoyed my creation and are inspired in some way.  Thanks so much for stopping by and for your comments.  I will be back tomorrow with the new release at ODBD.  I hope you are able to join us!

blessings,

Hello all!!  It has been quite a while since I have posted.  I am so sorry.  I have been dealing with a lot of pain issues as well as trying to exercise and strengthen my leg as much as possible.  I am not at all complaining.  God is good and He is faithful!!  He has brought me a long ways from where I was when it first began but still have a long way to go.

Today's challenge at the ODBD Shining the Light Challenge is Anything Goes with ODBD stamps!!!

I had fun with this one using the newest die: Faithful Fish Pattern and some of ODBD's Nautical themed stamps: The Mighty Sea and Waves on the sea.  The port hole is created with the Circle Ornaments and Matting Circles dies from ODBD.

I wanted to make a more masculine Thinking of you card for a male friend of ours that is battling 4th stage lung cancer.

*Our Daily Bread Designs, Waves on the Sea, The Mighty Sea, Matting Circle Dies, Circle Ornament dies, Beautiful Borders, designed by Chris Olsen

ODBD Stamps Used: The Mighty Sea, Waves on the Sea

Psalms 107:29  He caused the storm to be still, So that the waves of the sea were hushed.

“Let go of your concerns! Then you will know that I am God. I rule the nations. I rule the earth.” (Psalm 46:10 GW)
Every day, you have to decide who’s going to be in control of your  life — you or God.
That choice is a battle. There are things in your life that you want to control. You want to make your own rules. But stress relief always starts with letting God be God. It always starts with saying, “God, I’m giving up control, because you can control the things that are out of control in my life.”
Psalm 46:10 says, “Let go of your concerns! Then you will know that I am God. I rule the nations. I rule the earth” (GW).
I don’t know what you’re going to face this week. You don’t, either. But I can already tell you what God wants you to do: Let go, and know. Let go of control, and know that God is in control. Let go, and know! This is the first step to serenity in your life.  Just like God created the sea and all that is in it and He has control, so much more does He love us and is able to take control of every situation in our lives.  He can control life's storms when we can't.

Happy Tuesday Friends!! I hope you are having a great beginning to your day!!

Today I am popping in to share a card using a sketch for the Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs!!  I used one of my fave images from the recent release called Anchor the Soul!!  I also used The Mighty Sea. The embossed background is the Paper Studio Quatrefoil.

Anchors are a symbol of strength!! I am so glad that my Saviour reigns and that I have hope to go through each day and the hope that some day I will be with Him!  In times of trials I have one set of footprints as it is Him who carries me.

When I think of this verse: I think of this song by Ray Boltz, The Anchor Holds.  You can listen to the song here on YOUtube

I have journeyed
Through the long, dark night
Out on the open sea
By faith alone
Sight unknown
And yet His eyes were watching me
The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm
I've had visions
I've had dreams
I've even held them in my hand
But I never knew
They would slip right through
Like they were only grains of sand
The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm
I have been young
But I am older now
And there has been beauty
These eyes have seen
But it was in the night
Through the storms of my life
Oh, that's where God proved
His love to me
The anchor holds
Though the ship's been battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm
I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

Here is the photo of the sketch:

Hi Friends!! I am so excited to have been invited to be part of the DIRTY Girls at Splitcoaststampers!!  I still can’t believe that I am going to join such an amazing and talented group of women who I have looked up to and admired for such a long time and am completely honored and humbled.  I am so thankful to God for this opportunity...when there are so many more stampers more talented than I!!  I am so thankful for my many crafty and blogging friends who always inspire me!!

This month I have been working on lots of cards/projects which you can see if you are a part of the fan club here.

Too kick off the weekend before I go back to spending all my time in the basement painting wood crafts for a craft show next weekend, I thought I would share one of this week's cards:

I created my panels with a marvelous squares die from Spellbinders. My snowflake from the ODBD Sparkling Snowflake was embossed in pearl and sponged with Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, and Coastal Cabana starting at the edges from darkest to lightest. I did this three times (front and back of folded pop up panel and back snowflake).  The snowflake was cut out with the Custom Snowflake die.  The paper is Bo Bunny Snowflake Collection
The sentiment is from ODBD Vintage Pattern Ornaments.  The back panel is embossed in Anna Griffin Poppies.

My next card is a masculine card I created using The Earth set from Our Daily Bread Designs.  It is die cut with ODBD Custom Circle Ornament dies.  The sentiment is cut and framed with the ODBD Custom Recipe and Tags die.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you were inspired in some way by my creation.  Have a blessed day!!!

blessings,

I am entering this into the Word Art Wednesday challenge which is Anything Goes.  Word art Wednesday shares free inspirational scripture and sentiments each week!!

Happy Tuesday all!! I hope everyone is well and enjoying their summer.  Unfortunately we all caught a summer virus that threw us through the ringer or a loop for the last two weeks.  Today I am finally starting to feel a bit better.

I can't believe how the summer is flying.  Next week is Father's Day and soon there after is July 4th.  Where does the time go!!!

In celebration of Father's Day the challenge team at the Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs is challenging our viewers/ players to make a masculine or Father's Day card.  That is a real challenge for me since when I think of masculine, I think kind of plain.

I decided to make a masculine patriotic card using Some Gave All and Home of the Free from Our Daily Bread Designs.

Greater Love has no one than this that He lay down his Life for his Friends. John 15:13.

I want to thank all our service men and women and there families for the sacrifice they make each day for America's freedom!!  I am especially grateful for our freedom of religion where we can worship the true and living God.  This is not a freedom to take lightly as I see so many of our freedoms lessening or becoming stripped away by our government each day.

Thank you Lord for your greatest sacrifice of them all ...that you died for me so I may some day live with you in eternity!!

Happy Sunday all!! Today is my dear hubby's birthday so we are celebrating.  A little gloomy weather wise but this evening we get to visit with extended family!!

Today I would like to share a somewhat CAS card.

Many times I tend to create cards that are more feminine and detailed...today I am going for more CAS and masculine using  SC434 sketch over at Splitcoast.

This quote "A bad day of fishing is better than a good day or work" is probably true for all men...but lately I know my dear hubby would agree.

These sets are perfect for masculine cards...The distressing just seemed like a natural detail to add.  The dp is Blue Awning from K&Co.  I stamped and colored the image on one of the dp's to give it a more distressed feel.  I cased a lot of the layout from my dear friend Pat!  Thanks Pat! The border on the bottom is punched with a Stampin up Scalloped border punch.  The image is cut out with Spellbinders Circles and my uber fun and handy Grand Caliber machine.

I hope you enjoyed my creation...the next stop on the hop is the talented and sweet Debi.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a blessed day! Hope you enjoy the hop!

Hi All!  This is my second post of the day so if you are here for the Divine Diva post, scroll down to the next post.  If you are here for the Birthday Blog Hop for Josh, you are in the right place!!!

Hi Everyone!!  Today ODBD is having a birthday celebration for Josh!!  Josh works for Kelley at Our Daily Bread Designs and has become an integral part of the Our Daily Bread Designs (ODBD) family!
Josh is Kelley's right hand man at ODBD! He  helps out with cutting the rubber, mounting stamps, picking orders, and helping set up, tear down and run register at the ODBD booth just to name a few of the many things he does.  If you have been to the ODBD Shows you have probably seen him there.  I have not had the opportunity to meet him in person like some of the team has....yet...one of these days I will make one of Kelley's shows....but I always enjoy his short, sweet and cheery notes with the packages.

Happy Birthday Josh!!I hope your day is full of wonderful surprises!!

Isn't he just too cute!!  Poor Josh...getting harassed by all the women.  We love you Josh!

In Josh's honor the team is having a blog hop.  If you came here from my dear friend  Grace's blog, you are in the right place, if not, you may want to start at the ODBD blog...who knows what is in store for you there....besides there is lots of inspiration by the dt along the way.

Kelley is offering the chance to win a $15 gift certificate to 3 lucky bloggers who participate in the Birthday blog hop. All you have to do is comment on each person's post on the hop and at the ODBD blog to qualify!! How fun is that?!  So what are you waiting for...grab a cup of coffee and start hopping.  While you are at it, make sure to hop to the ODBD blog to wish Josh a Happy Birthday!!

Here is the card I created for Josh using the ODBD stamp sets Dad (for the sentiment) and Randi's song (for the embossed leaves).

The dp is from SU Bella Blue and the black piece of dp is from my scrap bin.  The ribbon is May Arts wrinkled ribbon.
