Happy Hump Day everyone!! I can't believe it is the middle of the week already again!  Wow! Time Flies!

Anywho...it is time for a new challenge at Your Next Stamp.  We had such a great time viewing all the Thank you or Thanksgiving Challenge cards.  This week's hostess is the fabulously talented and sweet Wendy.  Wendy's YNS challenge is to "Grow your own" or to make your own flowers on your card or project.  While it is not required to use a YNS challenge for the challenge, we would love to see them if you have them and you may only enter one NON YNS creation per challenge.  You can link your creations here. This challenge lasts two weeks.
For my creation I used the YNS Just Swimming By stamp set.  I colored her with copics and added some sparkle.  The dp is a combo from my scrap Stash and from retired SU paper.  I used two dies from the Fancy tags (spellbinders to create my sentiment panel).I made a ribbon flower.  It has been a while since I made one of these.

Today is also another Stamp and Create Product Spotlight.  This week's Product Spotlight is My Heart Stamps for you!!  All these images will be on sale for 25% off.  If you want these stamps, now is the time to get them at cheaper prices.  After the stock on these stamps are out, Lacey will no longer be carrying them at Stamp and Create store, so the sale is on for this week or until supplies last, whatever comes first.

Today I created a shaker card using the Puddle Duckie (My Heart Stamps for you) image from Stamp and Create.  This particular stamp is now out of stock, but there are several more images with ducks similar to this one.

I challenged myself to create an all white card with only color on the image.  I added stitching, tear drop embroidered white lace, and kaiser craft "snow" pearls.  The bottom is punched with a Martha Stewart border punch but it is hidden by the lace a bit.  The background is embossed with the perfect perennials die from Cuttlebug.

Instead of putting decorative panels on the edges, I used Parisian Breeze paper which is nice and sturdy just like cardstock.  The image and sentiment is from SU Bloomin Beautiful, one of my fave sets.  The ribbon is blue silk from May arts.  The image is framed with the Lace Circle Spellbinders.

The rest of the Perfect Presentation Team will have projects to share with you today for the release!!  I hope you will take the opportunity to grab a cup of coffee and be inspired.  One commenter from each post will be randomly chosen to win a free Perfect presentation Template of their choice created by Leigh Ann!!  You have until Midnight on Wednesday, September 29 to leave a comment on each blog for a chance to win.

Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weekend!!  Today is a new Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge!

Today's challenge is hosted by the sweet and talented Meisje!!  Meisje chose the verse:
John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid."

The peace is not the peace we think of when things are all rosy and good but a different kind of peace, that in every situation you have the peace of knowing God is with you in both the good and bad.  Peace is knowing that if tomorrow I cease to exist on earth..that I have eternal life with Him (God) in Heaven.  It is a peace you feel in both your joys and your sorrows..knowing God is in control.

Meisje's challenge is to: create a card with a symbol or peace or shows a scene which is peaceful.
For my creation, I used a symbol of Christmas which to means Peace.  Without Christ's birth there is no peace...

My creation uses the Blessed Christmas image from Our Daily Bread Designs and the word peace from one of the Sentiments in the Peace and Joy set from ODBD.  I also had the opportunity to use one of the new poinsettia dies to be released on October 1.  It is made special to fit the poinsettia in the Blessed Christmas set.  The image is colored with copics and popped up on dimensionals.  The little bit of dp you see is SEI dp.  The image is framed with the Labels 6 die from Spellbinders.

    challenges:
Crazy 4 Challenges (to use bling)

    AI Factory - Anything Goes

    This week's Challenge:
This week the team is challenging you to"wing it". Include anything with wings on your creations...this can be birds, angels, butterflies, bugs, etc.  It need not be your image...it can be embellishments as well or on your paper.

Since there is a blog hop with a new release next weekend, this challenge will last for two weeks until October 7!

Here is my take on the challenge:

For my creation I used the Flourished Christian Symbols and Thinking of you sets from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I made this for a friend who just recently lost their husband.  I hope it brings her comfort.  The designer paper is from Stampin Up Bella Blue.  The lace was given to me by my dear friend Sabrina (Thanks Sabrina!!!)  The black ribbon is May Arts Silk.  The circle die cut is the new Spellbinders Eyelet dye.

    Card Recipe:
stamps: Flourished Christian Symbols and Thinking of you sets from Our Daily Bread Designs.

Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope your weekend it going well!! Before I go on with my post, I would like to  let everyone know that the Whimsy Stamps store is now up and running!!  Woo hoo!! After all the technological glitches, Denise has it fixed and is open for business!!

Today is the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge this week and I am the host.  I chose one of my fave verses for this week which relates so well today the First day of fall here in the USA!!  Happy Fall!!

    The verse I chose is:
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.

If you are interested in seeing the whole devotional I wrote, please stop by the Stampin in Sisters challenge blog here. I will give you just a piece of my thoughts  here on this post.

When many read of this verse they think the seasons of the earth...I truly believe it means the seasons of life...those times of joy, sickness, health, sorrow...and etc.  I sometimes don't understand why some people have to go through such pain and suffering, especially those who live their entire lives for Him.  There really is no explanation for it other than this verse.  God has planned a time for everything to further His kingdom.  He uses the situations in our lives not only to shape us but to shape the lives of others as well.  We will never know why my dear friend Ruby or Randi is suffering with cancer and what good God plans to make out of this horrific disease but we do know that God is there with them as we pray to Him. Being a Christian does not mean a life without suffering or pain but it does mean you are never alone with out God's guiding and comforting hand. God's plans are not always ours.  I would much rather travel the road of life with God than without, wouldn't you?

The challenge this week at Stampin Sisters in Christ is:
May a card or project using fall colors (mambo melon, red, orange, yellow, green, brown) and or leaves.

Here is my take on the challenge:

For my creation I used a sentiment (Scripture Collection 1) and border stamp (Brocade Borders) from Our Daily Bread Designs. This week's sponsor!  You can have a chance to win a gift certificate to stamps for $15 if you participate in this week's challenge!

As always, you must use a WnW stamp or digi on your card to be entered into the drawing for ONE FREE Wags 'n Whiskers STAMP OF YOUR CHOICE!
This really is easy peasy since there are even many digis available at Wags n Whiskers perfect for this theme!

For my creation I decided to make a birthday card and tag for my niece.  Next week I go to Boston for her Birthday party.  Lyndsey loves pink and purple so I decided to use those colors for my creations.  I used the WNW image Angel Whispers.

As you can see, I made another Spring Fold card.  This is my second of three this week.  I hope you are not bored of them.  Only one more to share tomorrow... Sorry. They are really quite easy to make and look so fun! They are especially beautiful with a white background....I think.

Anywho...I colored my image with copics and added some stitchings... and some embossing on my spring card. The ribbon is pink silk.

Hello Everyone!!  Can't believe it is Thursday already and it is only one more day before the weekend! Wow! Times flies!!

Today I have two creations to share with you.  The first is for today's Divine Diva Inspiration Challenge.  Lori sent each of the dt this photo.

I was inspired by the orange twigs and the white background.  For my image, I used Echoes of Kindness from Stampin Up.  I embossed my white background with a Cuttlebug die.  I love how the image has an autumn feel to it with the Pumpkin Pie color.  I stitched around the edges of the card and used a decorative stitch around the image as well.  The lace is from a RAK from my dear friend Sabrina.  Thanks Sabrina.  The ribbon is May Arts Silk ribbon.  The punch for the decorative is a Martha Stewart  Flower Vine Punch (some of the punching is hidden (it was too wide for this card).

IMPORTANT STORE INFORMATION FROM WHIMSY!! The Whimsy store website is having a major server issues.... Please read the letter below for more information.

Attached is a letter from Denise at Whimsy.  Please read...
    Good Morning,

As many of you know, the Whimsy Stamps Online Store has been offline for the past few days, as we have been upgrading our hosting server to support all of our great customers, and the increased demand we have been experiencing over the past few months. Please accept our sincerest apology for any inconvenience this has caused you. We greatly appreciate your patience and support.

Our tech support team has been feverishly working to make the transition, but an issue that occurred with our store during the transition has forced us to do a full restore of our database. The good news is they will be able to get us back online - the bad news is it may take as many as 7 to 10 days to do so. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and promise that while we may not be online, we are still working to serve our customers.

All orders placed before the server switch have been shipped and/or are pending shipment. We are waiting on custom orders which should be here on Friday, September 17th. Those orders will be shipped immediately. If you have ordered digital stamp products and you did not have access to retrieve those files, please email us at whimsystamps@gmail.com and we will promptly send you the files via email.

Lastly, if anyone would like to place an order while we are offline, you can email us at whimsystamps@gmail.com and we will send you an invoice through PayPal and process your order as soon as possible. Digital stamp orders can be filled via email and I can ship out rubber stamp products. If you are willing to email orders, we are more than willing to provide you with the best customer service possible to get you what you need.

We do have many exciting events and promotions planned for the coming weeks at Whimsy and we are determined to not let those plans be affected by this…let's just call it… a mess! We will continue to bring our customers new digital and rubber stamps and we will be back better than ever! Please hang in there with us, check for updates on Facebook and our Whimsy Inspirations Blog. We will post any new updates as soon as they are available.

Thank you sincerely for your continued support and patronage.
    Sincerely,
    Denise

Happy Hump Day everyone!! I hope you are all having a great week.  It has been gorgeous here lately and I am trying to take advantage and get things done and enjoy this cool weather.

    I just love Fall!!

Anywho...it is time for a new challenge at Your Next Stamp.  We had such a great time viewing all the anything goes challenge.  This week's hostess is the fabulously talented and sweet Sylvia.  Sylvia's YNS challenge is to make a Thank you or Thanksgiving challenge!!  While it is not required to use a YNS challenge for the challenge, we would love to see them if you have them and you may only enter one NON YNS creation per challenge.  You can link your creations here.

Here is my take on the challenge using the adorable Girlfriends image from Your Next Stamp. The sentiment is computer generated. The tree branches are created with a fern stamp from the Stampin up Touch of Nature set.  The image is colored with copics.  I decided it would be fun to create a Spring Card since I had never made one of these before.  I love challenging myself to something new.  It keeps things interesting.

Here is my take on the Thank you or Thanksgiving challenge:

    Card Recipe:
stamps: Girlfriends image from Your Next Stamp,
                 Stampin up Touch of Nature
Paper: Bitter Chocolate, Baja Breeze, Baja Breeze dp, SU Parisian Breeze dp
Accessories: SU Oval punches, MS Butterfly punches, silk ribbon, lace, prima roses, Spellbinders Laced Squares
