Happy Saturday Everyone!! Well the weekend is here!! Today is suppose to be a warm and tomorrow it is suppose to drop by about 20 degrees or more. By the time you read this post, we will be on our way to Boston to visit my sister for the weekend.
Anywho...today it is time for another Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.
This week's Challenge:
This week the team is challenging you to"wing it". Include anything with wings on your creations...this can be birds, angels, butterflies, bugs, etc. It need not be your image...it can be embellishments as well or on your paper.
Since there is a blog hop with a new release next weekend, this challenge will last for two weeks until October 7!
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, October 7. One random winner will be chosen and announced on Saturday, October 9.
Here is my take on the challenge:
For my creation I used the Flourished Christian Symbols and Thinking of you sets from Our Daily Bread Designs. I made this for a friend who just recently lost their husband. I hope it brings her comfort. The designer paper is from Stampin Up Bella Blue. The lace was given to me by my dear friend Sabrina (Thanks Sabrina!!!) The black ribbon is May Arts Silk. The circle die cut is the new Spellbinders Eyelet dye.
Card Recipe:
stamps: Flourished Christian Symbols and Thinking of you sets from Our Daily Bread Designs.
paper: kraft, black, SU Bella Blue
accessories: Spellbinders Eyelet dye, May Arts Black Silk ribbon, lace

Hi Chris~
This is such an elegant and thoughtful card.
I love the colors together, and the lace is beautiful. I like how you have used both a circle and a rectangle for the two focal points!
