Happy Sunday!  I hope you are having a great weekend!!

Today I have another Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge.  This week's challenge is hosted by the talented and super sweet Linda.

Linda chose the verse:
  • As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.. Proverbs 27:17
God has blessed us with many to support us in all parts of our lives. Ones who will lift us up when we are down, share in our joys, strengthen us when we are weak, and those we can learn from.  I thank God for all the blessed blogging friends I have been so inspired by in both crafting, spiritually and in the friendships I have built.  I am thankful for my husband, my best friend, my parents, and my children, my church friends, and the list goes on and on.

Linda's challenge is: to use metal on your card.

I created this bookmark using Teddy Bear's ABC by Meljen's Designs available at Whimsy stamps.  I colored him with prismas and gamsol and added stitching.

For more inspiration, please visit my dt sisters:

Happy Saturday Everyone!!  I hope you are all having a great weekend.  I am popping in to share this week's Our Daily bread Designs Shining the Light challenge for this week.

This week's challenge is to:

Texture it!! Add texture whether it be through embossing, your different embellishments (feathers, textured ribbon…) or distressing (roughing up the edges not just inking them)

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday,   September 2. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.

Now on to my take on the challenge:

My creation is made with the Don't Worry stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs and Basic Grey Capella paper.  I framed my image with a Lotus border which I laced with ribbon.  I distressed my edges for more texture.

For more inspiration, please visit the challenge team:
If you join in the challenge, please leave a direct link at the ODBD blog here.

I can't believe it is now the end of August!! Where does the time go!! Soon it will be another release at Our Daily Bread Designs!!  Today I would like to share with you just a little tease of what is to come!!  To see the new sets, join us for the ODBD Blog hop on September 1st at 8 a.m. The sets include verses and sentiments, images, frames and even a background!!

Hello Everyone!! I hope you are all having a great week!!  I know I am!

Today I am popping in to share a back to school creation I created using the Meljen's Design's Digital image
PenPal Mouse.

This set contains some erasers, sharpeners and etc. for my dear daughter for school.  I wanted to make this set more fun.  The Little box uses the Bag it up template from Leigh Ann Baird. The Pencil holder I created on my own by just scoring and folding into a rectangular holder.  The image is colored with copics.  The paper is from Cosmo Cricket.  I had this fun ribbon in my stash and I think it was from Making Memories? The clip on the box is actually a large paper clip that I created into a bookmark.

Thanks for stopping by today and for your sweet comments!! They are so appreciated!!

Happy Monday Everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend!!  I know I am.  I am at the campground right now spending time with my girls.  It feels so nice to put the stamping beside and spend some time with them.

Today I would like to share a creation I made using this week's product spotlight at Stamp and Create.

For my creation I used the image Sting illustrated by Dustin Pike for High Hopes.  I also used the Cosmo Cricket Earth Love and Material Girl, the Scalloped Ovals Large Nestabilities, and the Classic Ovals Large Nestabilities available at Stamp and Create.

The layout on my card uses the Midnight Madness sketch for this week.

"YOUR CHOICE"
I hope you enjoyed my creation and that you too are inspired to create.

Happy Sunday Everyone!!  I hope you are enjoying the weekend and one of the last week's of summer which is upon us in the USA.

Today is the day of another Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge brought to us by Cindy.  Cindy has chosen: Psalm 56:3, When I am afraid, I will trust in THEE.

The bible gives us such comfort if we will just look to HIm and trust Him instead of relying on our strength.

Cindy's challenge to go with this verse is:
to make something that represents what could be your life verse, a place where God has revealed to you that you can trust in him, something representing a turning point in your life, or just focusing on Psalm 56:3. This is more of an open challenge, something that only you understand. I want you to be encouraged and remember those special "Jesus and me" moments when the Lord truly revealed Himself to you and praise Him for it.

Have you ever driven up your driveway and thought is that really my house.  I still do after 12 years.  I think what did I do to deserve this house.  Or, did you ever think "Why am I blessed with such a loving and handsome husband who cares so much about me?" I do!!  or "How did I deserve these beautiful and healthy children?"  I often wonder how do I deserve such blessings. There are so many who have so much less or deserve so much more.  While thinking over these questions, I am reminded of my favorite verse which to me sums up the entire Bible or Gospel story: For it is by Grace you have been saved, through faith~and this is not from yourselves, It is the GIFT OF GOD. Ephesions 2:8.

My verse comes from Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection 2 and the poinsettia image is from the Blessed Christmas.

The paper is a from Winter Wonderland K & and Co.  The ribbon is olive silk from May Arts.  I also added some ZVA Creative Pearls.
My card uses the Midnight Madness sketch for this week.

challenges:
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long-two ribbons
Pollycraft Monday- in stitches
Sew Many Challenges : Christmas in August
Spoonful of Sugar- Christmas
Midnight Madness sketch

I hope you enjoyed my creations today. For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit:

Happy Saturday Everyone!!  I hope you are all enjoying your weekend!!  I know I am.  This post has been prescheduled and the family and I are away camping.  I am not creating too much right now and tried to get way ahead before leaving.  I am however able to visit your blogs since I do have internet access.  Woohoo!! Lovin my new laptop!!

Anywho...today I would like to share a new challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge.

This week's Challenge:

This week the team is challenging you to use punches or dies on your creation.  Now isn't that just easy peasy!!

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, August 26  . One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.

Now on to my creation:

I always enjoy visiting blogs that create clean crisp cards with just a little detail, that I decided to give it a go myself.  I don't do this too often but I think I like how it turned out.  I used the Harvest Blessings and
Light from the Full of Grace collection from Our Daily Bread Designs.  The sunflower image I did not cut out by hand!! I actually used a die now available at Our Daily bread Designs.  It made it so much easier and less labor intensive!!  The image is nested in the Labels 11 Spellbinder die
which is embossed with Divine Swirls (Cuttlebug). My card background is dry embossed with a vine. The ribbon is SU Crushed Curry.

Hi Everyone!! I hope you are all doing well today!! I am so excited to be sharing the second day of sneak peaks with Wags n Whiskers Gorgeous images. This image is Hannah Fairy which will be available tomorrow at 7 a.m. EST.  I colored her with copics and thought it would be fun to create a circular card for her with a distressed or shabby chic feel to her. The dp is DCWV Nursery Paper.  I made the shape with my circular nestibilities and added sewing for some texture. The sentiment is from Stampin UP. I plan on giving this to my dear daughter who sometimes feels like she is not as special as her sister.  I hope this shows just a measure of how much I love her.

Bee Crafty: challenge 36 - ribbons n bows
Creative Card Crew- Sparkle and Shine
My time to Craft- glitter and glitz

The second creation I have to share with you today uses the Divine Diva inspiration challenge photo sent to me by Lori.  I love Lindt Chocolate so I thought this was so fun to use and make a gift set for my daughter's Sunday School teacher.  I would make it for her regular school teacher but that would be me. LOL!  Not that I wouldn't enjoy this for myself...

I used the image: Teddy Bear Abc's image illustrated by Meljen's Designs' available as a digi at Whimsy stamps.  I just thought this is the perfect school time image.  I then created a chocolate gift holder that can be hung over a water bottle.
The sentiment is from Whimsy's Ticket Sentiments created by Ann Vento and is available as a rubber stamp set.

Happy Monday Everyone!!  Today marks the anniversary for the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge!!  Woo hoo!!  We hope it has been a blessing and a sense of inspiration for many.  In celebration, all present and past members will be hosting a hop!

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5,6

The hop begins at the Stampin Sisters in Christ Blog.  If you have not begun there, you may want to click the link above.  If you came here from Pamela's blog, you are in the right place.  There are prizes and inspiration along the way (even a $50 gift certificate at the SSCC blog!!), so grab your fave beverage and enjoy the hop.

The verse posted above is one that has real meaning and significance for me.  It has always been a real comfort to me to know that it is God who directs my life and it is not of my own strength.  It is those dark times that God show His light and that we learn to depend more on Him.  When my mother in law's cancer returned, it was a real struggle for the family.  It was her faith and this verse which brought both her and us comfort.  We did not understand why ...this verse asks us not to ask but rather trust and leave it all too Him.  Are you relying on Him or are you relying on your own strength for your financial difficulties, emotional baggage, physical health or any situation.  You can not handle it on your own strength but you can on His.

The card above uses the Scripture  2 Collection and Don't Worry Stamp sets from Our Daily Bread designs.  The design paper is Capella paper from Basic Grey.  The verse is frame using the Fleur De Lis Frame and the Lotus Borders die (which I laced ribbon through.).

Thanks for stopping by today and for your comments.  The next stop on the hop is sweet  Helen who will be sharing her favorite verse and some more inspiration

Happy Sunday Everyone!!  I hope you are all having a blessed weekend!  Today I have the opportunity of sharing the verse and challenge at Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge this week. This week's host is the uber talented and sweet Randi.

Randi has chosen the verse:  Proverbs 17:22 " A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. " (NIV). Randi is a walking testimony to this verse and inspires me with the Faith in God and optimistic spirit in all she goes through and experiences.  This is a very good verse for us all to be thankful for God has given us realizing it is all from Him and that in all situations, He is our Guide.  There is no greater joy than to know that God is there directing our lives.  He wants to Trust in Him even in the bad times and be joyful.  Are you joyful and depending on Him or are you defeated and not trusting.  Place all you cares on Him and be joyful.

Randi's challenge this week is to make a clean humorous card. Lets see some laughter.

For my creation, I decided to use the fun image from Whimsy stamps called Pear-tunia.  The image just makes you smile with her cheesy smile and her big butt.  I used the
Midnight Madness sketch for this week.

The butt of my Pear-tunia is paper pieced with Cosmo Cricket Material Girl paper.  The rest for the dp is Basic Grey Lemonade.

Happy Friday Everyone!!  Wow!! Does time fly.  I had hoped on putting up this post much earlier but one thing lead to the next and it just didn't get done.  I am kind of feeling the expression "Stop the train, I want to get off"  Life is crazy busy for me right now.

Anywho enough of my woes...let's get on to my creation.  I decided that I would make a birthday card in honor of Your Next Stamps one year anniversary.  What better timing than on the day that it is announced that I will be on the Your Next Stamp design team.  I am so honored to be joining the talented team and working with Karen and the gorgeous line of stamps.  Thanks for the invitation and opportunity Karen!!

I got up early this morning thinking I would make an easy peasy or clean and simple card but it turned out to be more elaborate and time consuming than I  had planned.  I decided to meet the challenge at the Pixie Cottage Challenge using their sketch and create a card with a different fold as well as the Your Next Stamp challenge to make a birthday card. Well....criss cross cards are time consuming since there are so many sides.  And...of course I had to sew all those sides. LOL!

The image is Flying High Fiona.  I paper pieced her dress and added a button for a balloon.  I made clouds with my mega scalloped oval dies and embossed them with divine swirls.  The American crafts designer paper is quite old...I have only one of each piece and I have been hoarding it!!! Since Paper Romance is having a pink and bling challenge this week and Paper take Weekly is having a something old, something new something borrowed or something blue challenge and Paper Romance is having a Pink and Bling challenge, I thought it was time to take it out of the closet.

Here is a list of a few more challenges, that I am linking up for this creation:
Your Next Stamp challenge to make a birthday card
Sew Many Challenge -stitching
C.R.A.F.T.- insects -butterflies
Paper Romance is having a Pink and Bling challenge
