ODBD Bread Basket

Hello all!! I am just popping in for a small post.  I am still under the weather and really had more fun making a smaller project today with a sneak peek from Our Daily Bread Designs- Perfect Gift stamp set and Oh Christmas Tree Carol.  So I made a gift box and a set of gift tags!!  How fun and simple!!  I decided to go with non-traditional colors.  These would be perfect for my dear daughter who loves pink!!!

The first is my gift box which I altered.  I stamped the Oh Christmas Tree Carol in all directions, masking as I went to create a shabby or vintage flair.  I then antiqued the sides with Vintage distress ink from Tim Holtz. The tag is created with the sentiment and gifts from the Perfect Gift set from ODBD to be released on Monday, October 1.

The next project is a set of tags I created using the sneak peek Perfect Gift from Our Daily Bread Designs.  They are so fun and easy.  The colors are pink pirouette and pear pizaaz from Stampin Up.  I also added gold glitter paper to one of them.  The fun part is that they can be any color to compliment a gift!!

Hello Friends!!  Happy Tuesday all!! I hope you all are having a wonderful day and week!! The weather here in Virginia has been BEAUTIFUL!! I just love fall!!!  Unfortunately I have caught a nasty cold/virus.  I lose my voice quite often, my ears are plugged as is my nose, I am hacking my brains out....all that fun stuff.  I hope it runs its course quickly!!!  It can be worse, however.....I am not complaining.  This too shall pass......

Today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.  Since it is September and Christmas is around the corner, I thought I would make a Christmas card.  This week's challenge is something musical.

I had a lot of fun embossing a musical background with my Provocraft Allegra embossing folder.  The tag ornament is created with Our Daily Bread Designs Holiday Ornaments and is cut out with the Spellbinders Holiday Tags (which coordinate Perfectly with the ODBD Holiday ornaments).  The tag is outlined with a gold metallic marker.  The greenery is created with a Martha Stewart Twig punch.  The border on the horizontal panel is the Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents cut in half.

Hello Friends!! I hope all are doing well!!  The weather has drastically changed to more like fall here in Virginia.  It has been rainy lately but so much cooler!!  With fall on it's way, I decided to give a last hurrah so to speak to summer with a more like summer card (at least the colors resemble summer).

I created this card for Judy's Rolled Flowers challenge (TLC395). It has been a while since I have made rolled flowers so I thought it would be fun to play along today!!

The flowers were made with stitched grosgrain ribbon. The leaves and flourishes were made with Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms and Flourish Accents.

All stamps are from Our Daily Bread Designs (ODBD). The background is the Vine Background embossed in white and inked with Bliss Blue. The verse is from Scripture Series 3 . The flowers on the sentiment panel are from the Be Joyful stamp set.

I cut the base with the Labels 8 and Decorative Labels 8. The verse is cut with the Antique Frames die from Spellbinders.

I find this verse to be a real comfort especially in the tough times.  It seems as of late, that I have so many friends and family facing trials and hard times.  I hope this verse gives them comfort as well.

Happy Hump Day Friends!! It has been a while since I posted on Wednesday and could say that.  I hope all is well for you all!!  Today it looks like the sun is trying to peek out and the rain has ceased...at least for now.

Today I would like to share a card I made for a Splitcoast Stampers Challenge this week.  The challenge was to use markers in a way other than coloring.  I used the Misting with Markers technique on my background ( it misted or got wetter than I would have liked but it created a fun background) and water coloring with markers for my image. I wanted to make a masculine thinking of you card for a friend, recently diagnosed with Cancer of the Liver. I hope it in some way encourages him.

Card Recipe:
Paper: SU Soft Suede, Neenah White, Watercolor paper Baja Breeze
Dies: Spellbinders: Labels 17 Labels 13, Labels 22, Labels 18,
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Keep Climbing as well as Vine Background

Happy Tuesday all!! I hope you all are having a wonderful day and week!!

Today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.  Since it is September and Christmas is around the corner, I thought I would make a Christmas card.  This week's challenge is to stamp your own background.  I had a blast embossing the Poinsettia background from ODBD in gold and coloring with copics.  Unfortunately, I had to be very careful when blending and coloring, however, that I did not remove the embossing.  The sentiment is from the ODBD Ornaments 2 stamp set.

One of my layers is embossed with the Poinsettia embossing folder from Sizzix.  The background I created is framed with the fun and beautiful Decorative Labels 1!!  I Love it!!  The card base itself is cut out with the Grand Labels 1

Which do you like better?

Hello all!! I have been away for the past couple of weeks and unable to create or join in any challenges.  Since I needed to make a thinking of you card for one of my best friends who just found out her Mom has Liver Cancer and has only a few months left to live, I used yesterday's sketch at Splitcoast. I hope this is somewhat soothing. I am praying for her in these difficult days.

For my image I used Lilac from the Garden Collection at Our Daily Bread Designs . The background is embossed in Vine Background . While I wanted to add a sentiment, I could not find the right one which would fit in the sketch. The vines are Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourishes. The lattice strip is created with a Martha Stewart punch.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
