Happy Saturday all!! I am officially homeless for a spell so I had to preschedule this post. Hopefully we will be settled in our new home soon and I can be back to normal (whatever that is...LOL!)
Today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs:
Today marks the third March Anniversary challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs. . One of the traditional gifts is silk for the fourth anniversary. This week's challenge is to use silk or faux silk on your creation with your Our Daily Bread Designs stamps. Angie has created a wonderful tutorial for the faux silk technique on the Our Daily Bread Designs blog.
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Friday, March 30th at 8 a.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.
While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on most of our challenges, this month it is an Our Daily Bread Designs only challenge month in honore of the ODBD 4th Anniversary. Three or more of our participants will be chosen for the Shining the Light Award .In order to qualify for this award or join the challenge, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by Friday, March 30th at 8 a.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery , please use the keyword is ODBDSLC101. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.

Well let us try this again!! I posted my card yesterday but blogger would not post the photo....grrrrr!!
sorry!!!!
Happy Thursday all!!! I hope all is well for all!! Sorry for my absence....in addition to a lack of technology, things have been quite eventful for our family in the last week. We have now moved our furniture and boxes onto a tractor trailer to be stored for a few weeks and have had a closing on our house here in NY. We are now currently in limbo without a home...visiting with a variety of family. While I am enjoying my family time, I look forward to some sort of routine and knowing where things are.
Today I would like to share one of the last cards I created before having all my stamps and supplies packed up. This card uses the Quote Collection 2 recently release for Our Daily Bread Designs 4th Anniversary and the images of butterflies from the ODBD stamp set Faith.
The background of my card is embossed with three different Provocraft embossing folders: D'vine Swirl, Victoria, and Polka Dots on Neenah Solar White Cardstock. The dies used include Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and Exotic Butterflies Small and Spellbinders Lacey Circles and standard circles. The ribbon is May Arts White Silk and 1/2 inch white wrinkled ribbon. The lace is from a RAK. The bottom of the card is punched with a Martha Stewart Daisy Border die.
I am entering this card into Word Art Wednesdays. This week's scripture they are sharing is

Happy Saturday all!! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs Anniversary Blog hop!! Today marks the 4th official anniversary of Our Daily Bread Designs!! Since it is a special day, Kelley and the team have a special anniversary release for you!!
The bread sticks are so excited to be celebrating this special milestone in the life of ODBD! It is such a blessing to work for a company that brings glory to God in every stamp set created, and offers us the tools we need to do the same with every card we create! If you are a long term follower of ODBD, then you know that each year, the Design Team submits a favorite Scripture for the special anniversary sets, and those suggestions have been the sum total of all the "Scripture Collection" stamp sets in the store. This year, the special sets include our favorite Scriptures, but also quotes and sentiments that we feel would be great on cards or projects. I think you will find some of the most encouraging and uplifting words available in stamps in these special anniversary sets!
If you got here from Kathy’s Awesome Blog, you are in the right place. If not you might want to start at the Our Daily Bread designs Blog so you don't miss anyone. If you get lost along the way, simply return there, where the entire hop is listed with links.
The Hop will run 8am EST Mar. 17 until 8pm EST Mar 18. The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on Mar 19.
Four hoppers will win a FREE ANNIVERSARY SET and One blessed hopper will win The Complete Anniversary Bread Basket Bundle!!!
Hop to each designer’s blog and leave a comment Return to the Our Daily Bread designs blog and leave a comment telling us that you completed the hop, making note if there were any you could not comment on. Answer the question on the ODBD blog when you leave your comment.
Here is my creation using a quote by Abraham Lincoln in Quote 2:
The sentiment is framed with the Spellbinders Mega Curved Rectangles and the Fleur de Lis Rectangles. The flowers are homemade using Martha Stewart's large and small hydrangea flower punches (punched on Stampin up soft sky and sponged with Baja Breeze ink, then scored), the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish, and the Martha Stewart Leaf and twig punch. The background is embossed with the Provocraft Scrollwork Embossing folder.

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Design's Alumni Team's bi-monthly For the Love Blog Hop.
This week the Alumni team along with some of the ODBD designers are featuring a hop for the For the Love of ODBD Backgrounds!
Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, go to the ODBD Blog for the full link list. One of the posts is a hot spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $15 ODBD store gift certificate. So, all you have to do is hop along and see all the creations and leave a little love! You have until March 28th at 6 pm. The winner will be announced March 29th! So, get hopping and enjoy all the inspiration using
For the Love of ODBD Backgrounds!
If you came here from Connie's Blog you are in the right place, if you have not, you may want to start back at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog
For my creation I used the Grunge Butterfly Background and Flourished Verses (for the sentiment). Rather give a solid look to the background, I stamped off part of it to give it a more subtle or vintage look. I die cut a Cheery Lynn Canadian Kaleidoscope doily. The border is created with the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Accents die. The floral details are created with Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and the Martha Stewart Twig punch. The leaves are embossed with the Provocraft Textile embossing folder. The bow is made with the Bow Easy and the May Arts Wrinkled Ribbon. The lace has seam binding laced through it.
I apologize if the picture is not too clear. Today our movers move our furniture and boxes out. Somehow my camera has been lost. I had to borrow my dd's camera but the pictures are not as clear.

I hope you have enjoyed my creation. The next step on the hop is the ever so talented Patter!!

Hello All!! We are celebrating the 4th Anniversary of Our Daily Bread designs! All this week we have special events going on over on the ODBD Blog, so be sure to check them out! Today we have something that we hope will be pure fun for all! One Dozen of the Bread Sticks have baked up a special game for you! We decided to shower ODBD with a bouquet of flowers, since flowers are one of the traditional gifts for a 4th anniversary. You will be collecting these flowers along the way, and creating a beautiful bouquet for Kelley and all of Our Daily Bread designs!
We each have created a special card or project using at least one of our own personal ALL TIME FAVORITE ODBD sets. SIX of us will also have a special blog button with a special flower on it! (It will be labeled as a Designer's Flower Hunt Game, and will give the name of a flower.) Look for it in the designer's side bars of their blogs.
To play the game:
- Visit each designer listed below
- Keep a list of each designer who has a special flower blog button. Write down the designer's name and the name of the flower they have.
- When you have visited all 12, left comments and found the 6 flowers, send an email to Grace atgnywening@yahoo.com. Simply name the 6 designers who had the flowers and the flower they had.
- Winners will be chosen randomly from all who email me with their list by 9:00pm EST Mar. 15th!
Grace asked us to list our FOUR ALL TIME FAVORITE ODBD sets, and to use at least one on our project today. How can I possibly just choose 4? Well.... if I have to, here are my four favorites:
1. Sing to the Lord is one of my first favorite stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs. I just love birds and springtime with the flowering trees. The verses reflect joy.
2. Scripture set Collection 1 and Scripture Collection 2. While I love all the scripture sets, many of the verses in the first two sets are a real comfort and reassurance to me.
3. Birthday Blessings- I just love the teacup and flowers as well as the matching sentiments in this collection. It brings fond memories of "tea" time when growing up.
4. Happy Birthday- Gardening is one of my hobbies as well as my Mom and sisters. It makes a perfect image on card for so many of my friends and family.
For my project today, I used Birthday Blessings, Flower Frames 1 and one of my new sentiment sets: Flourished Verses to make this center step card. The dp is from my stash and I am unsure what pad it is from.
The image is colored with copics and framed with Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and the Fleur De Lis Rectangles from Spellbinders.
Now, I'll send you on your way. Here are the dozen bread sticks in the bread basket today:
