- Hi! I am Chris, also known as Glowbug on Splitcoaststampers. I live in Appomattox, VA. I so much enjoy blogging and the so many good friendships that have formed as a result. During my free time, I am creating cards or projects and I so enjoy Challenges. I have a very supportive husband, Scott, who understands my addiction and two young daughters,Meghan, 9 and Nicki, 12 years of age, who can't wait to get their hands on my stamps and embellishments. I was an elementary school teacher until my youngest was born. I have now been blessed with the opportunity to teach my two girls at home. I use stamping as a hobby or way to escape.

Hello Friends and Welcome to the September New Our Daily Bread Designs Release!! You won't want to miss all the inspiration from the ODBD Breadbasket (ODBD design team) using these fun patriotic themed stamps and dies! This month ODBD is releasing two fun fold dies!!

My first project uses the fun Tri-shutter card die and the coordinating Tri-Shutter Layer Dies which makes creating this special fold card so easy with amazing results!!! This card uses sentiments from the new Remembrance stamp set as well the Stars and Stripes 6x6 Paper Pad. The card was embellished with balloons from the Happy Birthday die set as well as the Sparkling Stars and Double Stitched Star dies. The sentiments are framed and cut from the Layered Lacey Ovals, Pierced Circles, Circles and Ovals dies.
My second creation is another tri-shutter card created with the amazing Tri-shutter card die and coordinating Tri-shutter layers. The sentiments are from the Remembrance stamps set. The background is layered with the Stars and Stripes 6x6 Paper pad. The front is embellished with a decorative sentiment die cut using the Thank You die. It includes additional stars cut using the Sparkling Stars and Double Stitched Star dies from gold metallic card stock, white card stock and Stars and Stripes Designer paper. The sentiments are framed with the Ovals, Pierced Ovals, Circles, and Pierced Circles.
My last creation is a simple top fold card which I created with the Defining Forces stamp set. I just love this sentiment! The background is created with Kraft paper which was embossed using the Lattice Backgrounds Die and stars cut out with the Double Stitched Stars. A piece of solid red paper from the Stars and Stripes paper is placed behind it. Stars were then cut from scraps of the Stars and Stripes 6x6 paper using the Sparkling Stars dies to be adhered in the precut stars of the background. The sentiment is die cut using the Vintage Labels die. The outside frame is created using the Pierced Rectangles dies and Double Stitched Rectangles dies.

Today I have two projects to share with you. The first card I am sharing with you is created using the new Bon Voyage stamp set, Ferns dies, and Frangipani dies, as well as the previously released Lavish Layers, Ovals, Pierced Rectangles dies, and Boho Bold 6x6 paper pack.
The image is sponged using a circles die and several bright inks to create the sunset. After die cutting the Frangipani die I traced the embossed sections with copics and wet the flower so I could shape it for a more 3d flower.
The second card is created using the new released Bon Voyage stamp set, Frangipani dies, and Fern Dies as well as the previously released Doily Dies, Pierced Rectangles dies, Lavish Layers dies, Beautiful Borders dies and the Boho Bold 6x6 Paper Pack.
Again the flowers were colored with copics (pink, light violet and yellow) after it was die cut and then wet so it could be molded.

My second creations is a 3D Gable box using the new Notebook Paper (stamp die duo), Seeds of Knowledge, Clipboard Set (dies), A+ Apples, as well as the Pierced Circles, Circles Flourished Tag Die, and Glorious Gable Box.

Today I have two projects to share with you. The first creation uses the new Lovely Flowers (clear stamps), Fancy Fan die, and Lattice Background Die as well as the Bitty Butterflies, Beautiful Borders, Vintage Borders, and Vintage Labels.
The Fancy Fan die is so versatile and need not only be used to create a fan. In this card, the die is used as a center focus in the layout. The fan is cut twice and attached with one being adhered upside down to the other die cut which is face up. I love the elegance of the die!!

My first creation uses the new Joys of the Season stamp set, Merry Christmas Border Die, as well as the previously released Lavish Layers dies, Pierced Circles dies, Rectangles dies, Pierced Rectangles dies, and Circles dies.
The tree images on the image panel were stamped with the stamp set Joys of the Season and embossed with holographic silver embossing powder. It really sparkles. The actual cardstock is a royal purple but it looks darker in this picture.

The borders along the top of the center step is created with the Bitty Borders dies. The sentiment is die cut with the Mini Tags and Labels dies.

Welcome, Friends!! Today I am sharing a very special post in honor of Our Daily Bread Designs 8th Anniversary!!
It is hard to believe it has been that long already. I joined Kelley as a design team member in November of 2008 so I have shared a lot of this journey with her. It has been an honor to stamp for a company which has so many inspirational scripture verses and sentiments. Thanks for this opportunity Kelley!
This year ODBD has something very special to share for their anniversary celebration that makes this anniversary release even more special for me.
You may have heard or read that my design team sister and very dear friend, Grace, has Breast Cancer and has been undergoing a very powerful chemotherapy treatment. While times have been very tough and very challenging for Grace, she continues to let her light shine and give God the Glory for it all!! She is an amazing testimony and very dear friend whom I cherish. We have shared many joys and sorrows together. We would appreciate your prayers for healing and continued recovery for Grace as she continues to have a long battle in this journey with cancer. We thank God that He is there with her through it all!!
Over the years Grace has been a design team member (since 2009)and former Design Team Coordinator, for Our Daily Bread Designs; she has shared or contributed ideas to Kelley for stamp sets, especially scripture, that have been released. Scripture and faith continue to be first and foremost in Grace's life. Today's Anniversary sets are a compilation of verses and sentiments that Grace shared with Kelley that bring her comfort and which she believes will bring comfort or touch the hearts of those experiencing a serious illness speaking of God's Grace, Strength, Hope, and Comfort.
We hope you enjoy the new anniversary sets and are inspired by the teams creations!! The sets being sold today, Kelley has chosen to dedicate to Grace. I know I love them and I hope you do also. Kelley has done an amazing job with the fonts, layouts, and dies to frame them.
The cards I will be sharing with you today will be using Scripture from Grace's Strength as well as the new dies Lavish Layers and Filligree Frames.
In addition to using these new stamps and dies, I used the Flourished Star Pattern for the outside border, Layered Lacey Squares for the decorative scallop on top of the scripture (in white) as well as the Rectangles and Double Stitched Rectangles dies. The darker blue solid paper is from the recently released: Old Glory.
