Happy Tuesday all!! I hope you are all enjoying the spring weather!!  After a very rainy weekend, the sun is out yet again!!  This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.  When you look at  creation you can't help but the see the magnificence of it all!!  The birds are singing, the flowering trees are blooming, the grass is vibrant green, butterflies are fluttering.....

With spring and cheery signs of spring and life, I have decided to share a card with scripture and flowers and life seen in spring this week for the Shining the Light challenge. This week's challenge is to use scripture (ODBDSLC236).

Our Daily Bread Designs, God Verses, Shabby Rose Collection, Elegant Ovals, Beautiful Borders, Designer Chris Olsen

ODBD Stamps Used: God Verses
ODBD Paper Used: Shabby Rose Collection
Other accessories: May Arts Ribbon, Gold charms, Darice Damask embossing folder, ZVA flourished pearls, Gold glitter paper

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8

In those times when life gets you down or throws you a curve ball, your closeness in your relationship to him is even more essential.  If you go through life depending on your own strength, rather than His, you tend to think you are on your own in this situation as well and don't have the comfort of having the All Powerful to lean upon.  Draw near to Him, read His Word, pray, whether times are tough or things seem to go smoothly and He will be there to direct your paths.

Trust in the Lord, with all your heart and lean not on thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge him and He will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5,6

May you have a blessed day!!
hugs,

I absolutely adore your ribbon and border on this card! Your little heart charm is...so charming and your paper and embossing are so wonderful! Your gold butterfly, wow! so gorgeous on the oval with gold trim and I love the trail of pearls! The verse you have on the card is one of my favorites! So comforting and such a promise!

I really like your use of wide ribbon on this one Chris!!! The way you wove the cord through the border die and hung the charm is very pretty too!!! I just love pink and this definitely speaks to Spring!!! Still praying for you my sweet and talented breadstick!

Oh, Chris!!! This is gorgeous! The bow is exquisite, and it is such an beautiful card with the wonderful DP, that favorite border die with the gold cord, and the wonderful butterfly treatment. And the best is this wonderful Scripture verse...one that is so very precious. I love your thoughts and so agree. Trials are often the most precious of times, as He draws us closer to Him through them. Trusting that God will continue to give you strength and encouragement as you continue to heal and recover. Hugs, sweet friend!
