ODBD Bread Basket

Hello, Friends!! I hope everyone had a Blessed Easter!! What a glorious day!!

Today I am popping in to share a card I made for this week's Shining the Light challenge at ODBD, which is a color challenge!!

These colors seemed so fresh and springy to me, so while reflecting on God's Amazing Grace at Easter, I decided to make a spring themed card with a Stanza from Amazing Grace from ODBD's How Sweet the Sound stamp set.  I really thing this biblically based phrase would be perfect for someone who has lost a loved one.

The flowers are Bee Balm.  The lacey frame is created using pieces from the largest Layered Lacey Squares Die.  The sponged clouds were created with the Raindrops and Clouds die (the same as the die cut clouds).

Our Daily Bread Designs, How Sweet the Sound, Bee Balm, Raindrops and Cloud Dies, Layered Lacey Squares, designed by Chris Olsen

ODBD Stamps Used: How Sweet the SoundBee Balm

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!

Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, Who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.

When we’ve been there tenthousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.
