ODBD Bread Basket

Happy Thursday all!! I hope you are all doing well!! Can you believe today is the last day of July?!! I can't!! Time and summer is just flying by!!

Today I had a chance to play with today's Way's to Use It challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.  The challenge was use maps on your creation...a real challenge for me since I had only two pieces of dp with maps and no stamps.  So...I chose to use a piece of Teresa Collins World Traveler dp.

I chose to showcase a quote that I have really to grown to understand more this summer from a sneak peek: Anchor the Soul to be released at ODBD tomorrow. "Life's roughest storm prove the strength of our anchors." This summer has been especially challenging to with my limited abilities and all my pain after my accident this past May.  It is during the tough times of life that we realize how strong our faith is.  I am so thankful for a God who is much stronger than I to carry me through the tough times.  Hope is my anchor!!!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: ODBD Anchor the Soul to be Released tomorrow
Paper: Teresa Collins World Traveler
Dies: ODBD Antique labels and dies
Embossing folder: Paper Studio Quatrefoil folder
Challenges: Word Art Wednesday-Anything goes, ODBD Shining the Light-Sponging

Thanks for stopping by and for your comments!! I hope you will be able stop by tomorrow for the Release!!

blessings,

Oh, Chris, I love the technique and this handsome card! It's so masculine and rich, and I love the colors! Oh, you are so right, given all that you've been through these last few months. And I know that you've sought your strength in our strong Anchor, our precious God Who is with us through all the heartache and harm! May God continue to encourage you and give you strength...and help you to heal well! Hugs, sweet friend!

Oh what a cool design Chris! Love the collage feel... so not your style but very cool for a more masculine card!

Hoping you had a good day with DD#1 today!

hugs,
Grace

My young cousin posted a blurb that it was six months until Christmas Eve the other day. My sweet granddaughter was telling me how fast her 16 years plus 11 months have gone. I just smiled. Your card is absolutely stunning with the layers and maps. The sentiment one I need to read often. Thank you for sharing your wonderful art with us today.
Blessings, Carole, Word Art Wednesday
PS I hope your total healing is just around the corner.

What a gorgeous card, Chris. I had just stopped by the ODBD shop a few days ago to check out the new release (which I always do) and it really is lovely. I am a HUGE fan even though I rarely find or make the time to play along. I apologize, and really will try because I LOVE the ODBD stamps and dies. Your art is always such a blessing, is SO beautiful, and I thank you so much for sharing it in our challenges.
God bless you!
