ODBD Bread Basket

Thursday, August 29, 2013

It is hard to believe that September is right around the corner and school has begun.  Summer is coming to an end!!  Since I am not ready for the end, i had to share just one more creative which makes me feel like summer...a bouquet of flowers.

For my creation I used the Blue Ribbon Winner (jar and sentiment label), Canning Jar dies (custom made to fit stamps), Fancy Foliage Dies , and Lilacs from Our Daily Bread Designs.

I colored the lilacs with Copics and hand cut them, stamped the jar image on card stock and Acetate, and die cut them both. I drew the stems in and colored them on the card stock layer, then adhered the acetate die cut over top to make the jar look like it was glass and was full with water. Since some of my copics are running out of ink, it kind of made the jar look more like water...kind of a neat affect.

The panel behind the image is created with a spellbinders lattice die. The Dp is from My Mind's Eye.

A Sneak Peek....
Today I'm sharing a card that gives you a sneak peek of  one of my favorite of the September release from ODBD.  This set is called Jingle Bells. This bell image is just a partial peek of the image in the stamp set.

The scalloped layers are created with the Spellbinders Scalloped Borders one. The sentiment is framed with the ODBD Custom Recipe Card and Tag die. The image is framed with the Custom dies- Elegant Ovals from ODBD and Spellbinders Beaded Ovals dies. The top is embossed with a Darice Damask embossing folder.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you were inspired in some way by my creation.  Have a blessed day!!!

blessings,
