ODBD Bread Basket

Tuesday, September 18, 2012
Happy Tuesday all!! I hope you all are having a wonderful day and week!!

Today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.  Since it is September and Christmas is around the corner, I thought I would make a Christmas card.  This week's challenge is to stamp your own background.  I had a blast embossing the Poinsettia background from ODBD in gold and coloring with copics.  Unfortunately, I had to be very careful when blending and coloring, however, that I did not remove the embossing.  The sentiment is from the ODBD Ornaments 2 stamp set.

One of my layers is embossed with the Poinsettia embossing folder from Sizzix.  The background I created is framed with the fun and beautiful Decorative Labels 1!!  I Love it!!  The card base itself is cut out with the Grand Labels 1

Which do you like better?

Card Recipe:
ODBD Stamps Used:  Ornaments 2Poinsettia Background
Dies: Grand Labels One, Decorative Labels 1, Floral Ovals, Classic Ovals
Accessories: gold embossing powder, versa mark, Sizzix Poinsettia folder, Bow Easy, pearl

Here are the sets used for my card:

Here are the dies used from Spellbinders:
Decorative Labels One
Grand Labels One
Floral Ovals
For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my dt sisters:

To see all the creations in one place or join the challenge, click here.  You have until September 23rd to join us.  You do not have to use an ODBD stamp to join in, but we would love to see them if you have them.  Plus....your card will only be featured in the top 3 if you use ODBD stamps.  Anyone, however, has a chance to win the $15 certificate toward ODBD stamps.
We would love to see your creations.

I hope this creation, has somehow inspired you.

Thanks for stopping by!!
I treasure all my viewers/blogging friends and their comments.

Have a blessed Day!!!

hugs and blessings,

Aack, I'm so indecisive to begin with and then you give us a choice like this!! Both designs are exquisite. The first seems a bit more elegant, but the second more alive. I think I'll go with the second, only because I LOVE little pink roses and that one is wonderful (just like your background!) Hugs and prayers, sweet sister!
