ODBD Bread Basket

Hello Friends!! I hope all are doing well!!  The weather has drastically changed to more like fall here in Virginia.  It has been rainy lately but so much cooler!!  With fall on it's way, I decided to give a last hurrah so to speak to summer with a more like summer card (at least the colors resemble summer).

I created this card for Judy's Rolled Flowers challenge (TLC395). It has been a while since I have made rolled flowers so I thought it would be fun to play along today!!

The flowers were made with stitched grosgrain ribbon. The leaves and flourishes were made with Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms and Flourish Accents.

All stamps are from Our Daily Bread Designs (ODBD). The background is the Vine Background embossed in white and inked with Bliss Blue. The verse is from Scripture Series 3 . The flowers on the sentiment panel are from the Be Joyful stamp set.

I cut the base with the Labels 8 and Decorative Labels 8. The verse is cut with the Antique Frames die from Spellbinders.

I find this verse to be a real comfort especially in the tough times.  It seems as of late, that I have so many friends and family facing trials and hard times.  I hope this verse gives them comfort as well.

Card Recipe:

Stamps:  Scripture Series 3Be JoyfulVine Borders
Dies: Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8, Labels 8, Bitty Blossoms, Flourish Accents, Antique Frames
Accessories: pearls, stitched Grosgrain, Bliss Blue ink from SU, White Embossing Powder

Oh Chris, this was such a blessing to see today. Things have been difficult with Dave's Dad passing away, and with Joshua leaving for 2 years of living on an Air Force base in England. Exciting for him...devestating for me. This Verse has been showing up everywhere the last few weeks. I wrote it down on a tiny piece of paper a few months ago...and all of a sudden it was in the center of my work area...a clean area. Amazing!

Your card has such fabulous paper and I love all of the framing! It really sets the Verse off beautifully. I have forgotten how to make rolled flowers...glad to see it on your card....the embossing really adds so much texture and is lovely, really. I always love pearls. Thank you for making this card. I needed to see it!
