Happy Monday Everyone!! I hope everyone had an awesome weekend. It was a bit chilly but it was nice all the same. Scott pulled the girls on the toboggan and went sledding. They had a blast. We had them bundled like mummies since it was frigid. I am amazed they were able to walk. Reminded me of the little boy and Christmas Story whose mom bundled him so much his arms stuck straight out. LOL! In the meantime, while they played outdoors, I had quiet time to look at the window at them and craft. My Favorite type of day!! We had time by the fire and it was very cozy.

Today...on the other hand... has been one disaster after another!!!!!! I had hoped on getting this post up much sooner, however, it seems like anything that could happen has!!! Yikes! We had problems with our plumbing and naturally it had to happen while my dear handyman husband was at work. I have no problems plunging a toilet, this was more than that. The water kept coming and coming until I had a few inches on my bathroom floor and it was leaking down the pipes and into my basement. I had all kind of suggestions from my dear father in law (God Bless Him) since I could not reach my hubby. One of the suggestions was to turn off the breaker to the well. Which I did.....well when my hubby finally was able to reach me, he told me some other things to do and to turn the well back on. Since the well was off, it got air in the line which caused a whole host of other issues. Oh well...can't start the day over so I guess I have got to roll with whatever happens next....

Anywho....after venting, I am finally on to my creation for today. I used the sketch from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #55. I just love Mercy's sketches and I have been trying to play around with them each week when time allows. I had to use an image I have not inked up in a while. I just love Penny Black but I never seem to find the time to use them.....well now I did. I incorporated the Technique Lover's Challenge at SC (TLC255) hosted by Holly (Aka TOY) to create a scratch and sniff card. I used Strawberry sugarfree jello and mixed it with the embossing powder on the jelly jar. The image is colored with copics. The image is cut out and popped up on dimensionals on a swiss dot embossed background (Incorporating the CAS49 Cut It Out Challenge at SC). The spoon was stamped on the inside of a soda can to give it a metallic look.

Stamps: Penny Black- Sugar Sweet Dreams
Paper: SU Bella Rose DP, white, Bitter Chocolate
Accessories: Red 1 inch Grossgrain, MS Hear Punch, Hero Arts Pearls, soda can Swiss Dots folder, Strawberry Jello (sugar free)

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope to lock myself on the den and do some catching up on my blogging after I finish homeschooling the girls barring anymore disasters!!.....LOL! I am praying real hard!

Thanks again for your sweet comments!

blessings,
Chris
