THIS WEEK'S SKETCH

Today's sketch is a sketch with a twist. The MMSC chose a baking theme this week. Each dt will be sharing some of their favorite recipes with their creations.

MY TAKE ON THE SKETCH:

I made this gift set for my daughter's Sunday School Teacher. The card has a pocket for the recipe. I left the paint can mostly clear so you can see my deformed gingerbread men. Yes I said deformed. After I was done, I realized this wasn't a running gingerbread man but rather the leg was bent. LOL! Guess this is a good lesson for teaching that you can't judge by outside appearances. LOL!

Card Recipe:
stamps: Papertrey Ink-Button Bits
Paper: Western Sky (retired SU), Soft Suede DP
Accessories: Baja Breeze ribbon, Jumbo brads, silver baubles, sewing machine, MS Border punch

Can Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs- Peace and Joy, Paper Trey Ink-Button Bits
Paper: bitter chocolate, baja breeze
accessories: medium paint can, Create a flake 1 Spellbinders die, circle spellbinders
Challenges:
Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge
Our Creative Corner - Holiday Theme
Stamp With Fun Challenge 37 - Little Presents
Sophisti-Cat Challenge 15 - Christmas Theme
Kaboodle- Snowflakes
The Pink Elephant- Favorite Christmas color combo (blue and brown)
Simon Says- Let it Snow

I would have looked at that sketch and given up before I even started. So many details. But you really pulled it off. Not only is your card cute, but the colors are so warm and homey - perfect for your gingerbread theme. And you took it to the next level with the coordinating gift can and recipe card. And even real gingerbread cookies. Excellent work!
