During my free time, I am creating cards or projects and I so enjoy Challenges. I have a very supportive husband, Scott, who understands my addiction and two young daughters,Meghan, 9 and Nicki, 12 years of age, who can't wait to get their hands on my stamps and embellishments. I was an elementary school teacher until my youngest was born. I have now been blessed with the opportunity to teach my two girls at home. I use stamping as a hobby or way to escape.

Hello Friends!!!  This is the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it!!!  Another beautiful fall day.  The days seem to be a little cooler but beautiful all the same.  Yesterday was rainy and cold so the sun being out is definitely more motivating.  Yesterday I could stay in my jammies all day.  LOL!

Anywho...today I want to share a creation I made for this week's Shining the Light challenge.

This week's challenge:
Use Fall colors and a verse.

For my creation I made a little more CAS card for me.  I cut out the apples from the wreath in the Apple Wreath stamp set at Our Daily Bread Designs.  The verse is from Pumpkin Wreath.  The  texture was created with the Spellbinders Lattice die and some pearls.  The semi circle was cut out of the first panel with a Standard Circle from spellbinders and outlined with the Spellbinder Scalloped Circle.

This verse could be used any time but it is perfect for Thanksgiving as well.  I know that my family and I have so much thankful after our recent move.  I know and have felt God's presence and leading in all we have done.  Thank you God for always being with us!!

"Our God, we Thank You and Praise Your Glorious Name.  1 Chronicles 29:13"

Hello Friends!!  I hope all are doing well.  This week we had a day of rain and then it was back to the warmer temperatures here in Virginia.  The nicest part of living here, however, is most nights cool down dramatically.  It is hard to believe that after having temps in the mid to high eighties, the weather is suppose to drop to the mid fifties on Sunday.  Wow!!

Anywho, today I thought I would pop in to share a Christmas card I created with the sketch (SC405) at Splitcoast Stampers.   I found the sketch to be challenging and it definitely made me think.  While it would have been easier to go with a butterfly or leaf on the right side, I wanted to do something different. It was a little tricky....

For my creation I used the Our Daily Bread Designs O Christmas Tree Blessed Christmas , and Oh Christmas Tree Carol . The tree is embossed with white. The background is the Oh Christmas Tree Carol embossed in Kaleidoscope on Sahara Sand. The scallops are created using the A2 Polka Dots Dies from Spellbinders.

I just love Christmas trees!!  Christmas trees have been a traditional decoration for many years in many years.  As a Christian the tree at Christmas is "Evergreen" which symbolizes everlasting life.  What greater gift than sending your one only Son as a humble baby...who would sacrifice His life for us!!

I also made this card as a reminder for this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs which is "Musical"

So now.... on to my project

For my creation I used the Perfect Gift Stamp set for the top panel with the image and sentiment.  The side tag is created with the Oh Christmas Tree stamp set.  The box itself is created with the tea tabbed box template from My Time Made Easy.  The flowers are old prima single flowers that I altered, inked, glittered, and layered.  The dp is from Memory Box.  The sides are dry embossed.  The top has sewing on it but it is hard to see in the photo.

Hello all!! I am just popping in for a small post.  I am still under the weather and really had more fun making a smaller project today with a sneak peek from Our Daily Bread Designs- Perfect Gift stamp set and Oh Christmas Tree Carol.  So I made a gift box and a set of gift tags!!  How fun and simple!!  I decided to go with non-traditional colors.  These would be perfect for my dear daughter who loves pink!!!

The first is my gift box which I altered.  I stamped the Oh Christmas Tree Carol in all directions, masking as I went to create a shabby or vintage flair.  I then antiqued the sides with Vintage distress ink from Tim Holtz. The tag is created with the sentiment and gifts from the Perfect Gift set from ODBD to be released on Monday, October 1.

The next project is a set of tags I created using the sneak peek Perfect Gift from Our Daily Bread Designs.  They are so fun and easy.  The colors are pink pirouette and pear pizaaz from Stampin Up.  I also added gold glitter paper to one of them.  The fun part is that they can be any color to compliment a gift!!
