I have a very supportive husband, Scott, who understands my addiction and two young daughters,Meghan, 9 and Nicki, 12 years of age, who can't wait to get their hands on my stamps and embellishments. I was an elementary school teacher until my youngest was born. I have now been blessed with the opportunity to teach my two girls at home. I use stamping as a hobby or way to escape.

Hello Friends!!  Before moving into our new home, I had made a few heart gift boxes and shared them here. I had several requests from my blog viewers asking for a tutorial on how to make them but just did not have the time then.  So today.....several months later....I have a tutorial on the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog here.  This heart box uses the new Be Joyful stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I made it for a dear friend who has been a real blessing since we moved here.

Recipe:

Bo Bunny - Home and SEI dp.
Our Daily Bread Designs- Be Joyful stamp set
 copics (Booo, Boo,  Bo1, Bo2, Bo4, YG91, YG93, G94)
 Gold Flowersoft  and Flowersoft glue
-Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Hearts (you will need the largest classic and scalloped dies for the actual box...I used several for decorating as well)

Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you are somehow inspired by my creation!! You can find the tutorial and details on how to make this  at the Our Daily Bread Designs blog here.

Have a blessed Day!!!

Happy Tuesday All!!  By the tine you view this post, our family is on it's way back home from Lancaster, PA.  I am sure we are all disappointed and sad that the time passed so quickly and the good time we had is now over...LOL!  I hope everyone had a great weekend and those of you in the USA enjoyed the last summer fling or holiday (Labor Day).

Today I would like to share today's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs which is an extension of last week's "You Leave me in Stitches" challenge.  We decided to extend the challenge for two weeks to give our players a chance to participate with the holiday in between.

Here is my take on the challenge using some colors I love together but rarely use.  I know yellow is cheery and looks like sunshine but it is not one of my fave colors.  The sentiment is a quote from the Mountain stamp set at Our Daily Bread Designs.  You can see the stitching along the edges if you enlarge the photo.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Mountain from Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper: SEI Promise Me
Dies: Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents, Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish, Petite ovals
Accessories: ZVA Creative Pearls, flowers

EASY PEASY, Right?

So now.... on to my card..

I decided to make a Tri-shutter card (You can find the instructions HERE) because it allowed me the space to use several of the great stamps in two of the new release sets: Mountain and Keep Climbing as well as the trees from the old set Quote Collection 1.  I wanted to make a card that would work for either a guy or girl.  Hopefully I accomplished that.

The large sentiment from the Mountain stamp set and tree images from Quote Collection 1 were masked and stamped directly on the retired Stampin Up Bon Jour designer paper.  I just love this quote.  How true!!!

The image is colored with copics and the sky is sponged with Soft Sky Ink.  Many of my panels are distressed with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Ink.

The Baja Breeze Scallops are the Big Scalloped Border Petites cut in half.  The soft suede panels are embossed with Provocraft Wood and then distressed.

Card Recipe:
Paper: Stampin Up Botanical, SU Soft Suede, Neenah White
Dies: Spellbinders Grommet Tags, Labels 6, Ribbon Tags Trio, Labels 17 Labels 13, Labels 22, Labels 18, Labels 12, Big Scalloped Border Petites
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs new release Mountain and Keep Climbing as well as the trees from the old set Quote Collection 1.

Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you are somehow inspired by my creation!! For more inspiration, the next stop on the hop is the exceptionally talented Sandee.

Have a blessed Day!!!

Happy Thursday everyone!! Today I am excited since we are on our way to Lake in Wood Campground in Lancaster Pennsylvania!!  Our family has been looking forward to this trip for quite a while!!  I feel like a child with his hands in the candy jar!!

I can't believe how fast time has gone...and that August is almost over.  Wow...time flies.  With the beginning of a new month comes another new release at Our Daily Bread Designs.  I just love the new sets!!!  They are so versatile, fun and beautiful.  Today I would like to share a sneak peak of a few of the wonderful sets being released at Our Daily Bread Designs on Saturday: Be Joyful, Lilacs, and Scripture Series 3.  I masked and colored the beautiful images with copics to create a scene.  The sky is sponged with Soft Sky (Stampin Up ink). The May Arts Silk Ribbon is laced through the  Our Daily Bread Designs Fence Die. I then pierced around the edges, layered my card and framed it with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs sneak peek: Be Joyful, Lilacs, and Scripture Series 3.
Dies: Romantic Rectangles, Our Daily Bread Designs Fence Die, MS Butterfly Punch
Accessories: pearls, May Arts Purple silk ribbon, Bow Easy

Thanks so much for visiting.... and have a wonderful week!!! I hope to see you at the ODBD Blog hop on Saturday a.m. at 8 a.m. EST.

Happy Tuesday Friends!! It has been a bit since I posted last.  I am sorry for my absence.  Life has just been so busy with little time to craft.  I have done a few things behind the scenes but am unable to share them yet.  I hope all is well with you and you are enjoying what is left of your summer.

Today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.

This week's challenge is to use stitching.  Anyone who knows me or my cards, knows that I love to sew on my cards.  I have done a little less sewing lately, however since the movers dropped my sewing machine and I had to get a new one.  I so miss my old machine.  Anywho...I did have fun with this challenge.

My verse is embossed and gold.  This is a perfect verse to provide comfort to a dear friend who is going through a rough patch in her life.  I hope it comforts her as much as it comforts me.

ODBD stamps used:  Scripture Collection 6, Eternity
ODBD dies to match Eternity set from ODBD: Elegant Ovals
Paper: Basic Grey Capella, Pink Pirouette (Stampin Up), Bridal Bouquet (SU), Very Vanilla, Green
Acceccories: Mauve Silk Ribbon, Bow Easy, Hydrangea punch (Martha Stewart), Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish
