Twinkles Glow with Stamps

Happy Hump Day Everyone!!  I hope you are all having a great week!! This is the first of two posts for the day....

Today is  another fun Whiff of Joy Challenge!!!  Today we have a sketch by the amazingly talented Kylie:


Here is my take on the challenge using the darling Dreamy Willow with flowers from Whiff Of Joy
The designer paper is Prima Annalee which I distressed on the edges. The sentiment is from the Whiff of Joy Blooming Spring Store kit. The seam binding is dyed and given in a RAK to me by my dear friend Sabrina as is the lace!!! The sentiment hardware is from Tim Holtz Ideology Ornate plates.

Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying the weekend!  I spent the weekend trying to catch up on all could not do while playing "taxi Mom" all week.  I even tried to do some blogging.  Wish I was more successful but blogger would not cooperate!!!

Today it is time for another Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge!!

This week's challenge host is Kris!!

  Kris chose the verse:

2 Samuel 6:14 And David was dancing before the LORD with all his might, and David was wearing a linen ephod.

Kris' challenge:
Make a card that "moves" (ie. tilt card, slider, pop up, waterfall, etc. - LOTS on scs resources)
Here is my take on the challenge:

 For my "movement" I created a slider card.  The butterfly is stamped using the Our Daily Bread Designs Single Butterfly stamp and the Butterfly die on  Basic grey dp.
The joy sentiment is from the Sweet William Small collection. 
The bow is tied with the bow easy and silk ribbon.
The designer paper is from Basic Grey Hello Luscious stack.  The butterfly is framed with the Beaded Ovals die from spellbinders.  The rose is from Prima- Belle Artes Novelty.  The shape of the card is created using the Grand Labels 1 nestabilities and my Grand Caliber (Spellbinders).

Happy Thursday All! Sorry for my lack of blogging.  Life has been very busy here.  This week I am a taxi service to my girls bringing them back and forth to 2 different Bible Schools.  I lose several hours during my day since one is too far and I have to stay there while they attend but they are enjoying it so it is worth it .

Today I have two things to share with you, a card I made using the new stamps at Whimsy and the announcement of yesterday's Whimsy Weekly Sentiment give a way.

Today I also have a sneak peek of Whimsy's new A Touch of Elegance and Dress Form die!!  While it is a sneak before our hop on the 20th, these stamps and dies are available now at the Whimsy store!!!
I thought it would be fun to create a different shaped card with a vintage flair.  I used the Spellbinders Labels 20 and the Prima Sparkling Spring Paper.  I added some SU corduroy button, a handmade crocheted flower and some trim.
