- Hi! I am Chris, also known as Glowbug on Splitcoaststampers. I live in Appomattox, VA. I so much enjoy blogging and the so many good friendships that have formed as a result. During my free time, I am creating cards or projects and I so enjoy Challenges. I have a very supportive husband, Scott, who understands my addiction and two young daughters,Meghan, 9 and Nicki, 12 years of age, who can't wait to get their hands on my stamps and embellishments. I was an elementary school teacher until my youngest was born. I have now been blessed with the opportunity to teach my two girls at home. I use stamping as a hobby or way to escape.

Hello all!! Well it appears I goofed and the Whoopsi Daisy challenge already posted....I am so sorry that I am late!
This week's challenge is FREE and EASY!!! We can't wait to see all your creative projects and cards. You do not need to use a Whoopsi Daisy image but if you do, we would LOVE to see them.
I used the Be Mine template designed by Leigh Ann Baird available at Perfect Presentation. The image is from Whoopsi Daisy sheet 180. The dp is left over scraps from another project (SEI). The hearts are cut out with my Heart Spellbinders dies. The flowers are from ZVA Creative. The lace is from Wild Orchids. The twigs are punched out with a Martha Stewart punch.For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit the Whoopsi Daisy Challenge blog for all my dt sister's gorgeous creations.

Happy Sunday Everyone!! Well I hope all are doing well. Unfortunately I only have a moment since one of my dear daughters is pretty sick right now....when they are like that, all they want is some TLC and mommy time. I hope she gets better soon. The poor girl has a pretty high fever right now and is completely tuckered out and coughing...My poor Nicki....I am exhausted to after being up the entire night. A nap will be needed at some point today.
Well today is a new challenge over at Stampin Sisters in Christ...this week's challenge is hosted by the dear and talented Patti!!!
Patti chose the verse:
Hebrews 13:5 NIV "Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be satisfied with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you."
It is funny...when I read this verse I thought of one of my dear daughters. Just today, I was talking with one of my daughters who was worrying. I was trying to explain to her that we need not worry because God is in control. He knows how many hairs we have in our head...he watches the sparrows....how much more valuable to him are we than they...He promises us He will be there for us and he will provide. Does that mean life will be rosy and easy...No...but we need to trust. Be thankful for all God has given! His love greater than all the Love you could ever receive!! Remember, He died for you!!
Patti chose the challenge:
Since it is Valentine's Week, let's make a KISS Card (Keep it simple, Sisters!) - One layer card.
Now Keep it simple...is not usually in my vocabulary...as a dear friend once said...Clean and simple should never be used in the same sentence.
This image is from Lily of the Valley and it was sent from my dear friend Wendy. (Thanks Wendy! I just love it!! I am hooked on these adorable images!!!) I colored it in with copics. The heart shape is dye cut with the Spellbinders Labels 15. The ribbon is May Arts Pink silk which I tied into a bow with my Bow Easy. The clouds are sponged with baja breeze ink and a scalloped punch.
challenges I am entering this card in:
Totally Papercrafts - clean & simpleStamp Something - something for your ValentineCrafty Ann's - love is all around Stamp, Scrap & Doodle - Love is in the air Totally Gorjuss - LoveECP Challenges - LoveOne Stop Craft - Love is in the air C.R.A.F.T. - Valentine's

The second card uses a Whimsy digi image that I felt was perfect for Valentine's or showing someone you care. I It is called I love You This Much...As you can see...the card is not at all K.I.S.S. (Keep It simple or one layer...LoL! The papers are a combo of dp from K&Co. Valentine papers. The middle heart is dry embossed although it is hard to see in the photo. The flower on the bottom is a felt flower with a flower button in the center.

Happy Saturday Everyone!! I hope you are all having a great beginning to your weekend. I know I have been looking forward to the weekend and we have lots going on.
I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs!!
This weeks challenge:
This week the challenge team would like to see your creations using our "Have a H.E.A.R.T." recipe. You must use three of these ingredients. This is not necessarily a Valentine challenge...it is open to your interpretation!!
H= Hemp
E= Embossing
A=Any Our Daily Bread Images or Sentiments
R= Ribbon or lace
T= Tearing or distressing
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, February 17. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on or will they qualify for prizes.
While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by February 17 at 8 p.m. EST.If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC48. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.
For my creation, I used the stamps Faith and Anchor from Our Daily Bread Designs. The ingredients I used from the challenge included: H- hemp, E-dry and wet embossing, A- anything ODBD, R- ribbon and lace, T-tearing or distressing. The dp I used is from K&Co. Julianne (96 sheet pack). The lace my dear daughter bought me for Christmas. The flower is created by tearing and reforming several prima flowers. The sentiment is embossed and stamped over the butterflies from the Faith set. To create the hemp flourishes, I stiffened the hemp with glue and curled them, stiffening them by a hot iron.

Happy Friday Everyone!! I hope you are all having a great beginning to your day...and for some others....ending. Today is Friday!! Woo hoo! The weekend is here! It even looks like there are no snow or ice storms in our weekend!! Yes!!!!
Today, I am popping in to share a few different creations.
The first is a Valentine creation I made for this week's Fairy Fun Friday's Challenge: Script!! Now the script can not be a sentiment, it must be in your dp, your embossing.....I am honored to have been asked to be a guest this week. Thanks for the opportunity to join you girls this week!!!
I used a Provocraft Script embossing folder for mine and the Cherry Blossoms Digi from Prairy Fairy. I colored it with copics. Rather than using the traditional pink, red, and white which I am getting a little tired of, I went with blue. I used my heart nesties from Spellbinders to create all the different layers of hearts. The bottom panel of my card is made with Labels 14. The bow is made with blue silk from May Arts. The dp I know is dp, but I am unsure what pack...these were scraps from my scrap bin. The lace is from Wild Orchids and the Love charm from Stamp and Create.
For more inspiration for this fun challenge, please visit the dt at the Fairy Fun Friday Challenge Blog here.
My next creations use different mini stamps available at Your Next Stamp which are perfect for tags!! I just love all the occasions you can create them for. Here are 4 tags I created, I will have more in the future but this is it for today:
This first tag uses the mini: Hanging Monkey from Your Next Stamp (YNS).
This tag uses the mini: Ellie Love to Bake.
This tag uses the mini: Happy Days Mermaid
and....my last tag uses the mini: Rainy Day Fhiona.
All the tags have ribbons from Stampin Up which were in colors a few years ago. The sparkly White Glitter ric rac is available at Really Reasonable ribbon here.
The papers used are the in colors from a few years ago to match the ribbons and papers (baja breeze, really red, pacific point, kiwi kiss). All the dp are scraps from my scrap bin.
Challenges I am entering my creation in:

For my blog hop creation I used a few different stamps. The first is a Valentine gift set I created for a friend using the Darling Daisies stampset illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and the Postage Online stamp designed by Ann Vento (as well as the postage stamp die). The box I created using a tutorial created by Randi Thorsen which can be found here. Since I am from the USA, I am not use to measuring everything in the metric measurement system so I found it to be a challenge....but fun!!!! The daisy in the center heart window of the box is embossed in white on vellum. The dp used on the card is K&Co. Jullianne. The ribbon is May Arts Ivory and champagne silk. The box is embossed with a Sizzix floral die on Blushing Bride (SU). The dp is from DCWV.
My last creation is made with the darling Valerie's Spring Rain illustrated by Crissy Armstrong. I colored her with copics.
