Happy Monday Everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend!!  Mine was very busy since I had company the entire weekend as well as some other things going on.  It was a mixture of happiness and sadness.  I had a great visit with my parents!  The girls had a terrific weekend with their friends who stayed with us for the entire weekend.  Yesterday, however, my dear friend Ruby lost her battle to cancer.  Ruby passed on to be with her Lord and Savior yesterday morning.  While I miss her deeply already, I grieve for me and her family and friends and not for her.  Ruby loved to sing and I am sure she is up in heaven receiving an embrace from the father, singing and dancing.  Ruby lived her life for the Lord in all she did, and I pray her testimony live on.

This week will be a very busy and tough week as I attend many events in her memory, make dinners and baked goods for dinners for both her funeral and the out of town family, and prepare to sing the song Ruby chose for us to sing at her Memorial Service "Steppin on the clouds".  Since this is a song I sang with Ruby it will be tough to sing it at her funeral knowing she is no longer with us.  I am praying for great strength to be able to sing without tears.

I want to apologize in advance for being absent this week...I will try to visit you.  I have many creations already made and scheduled so my blog will keep on going...

Anywho...today is another product spotlight at Stamp and Create!!  This week's product spotlight is texture...so anything in the store that adds texture to your creations will be 25% off in the store.  These items include fun flock, Liquid applique, Stickles, liquid pearls,  and Embossing powders.

Lacey also has several clearance items on sale.

Here is my creation using Penguin's Winter Fun from Whiff of Joy which is available at Stamp and Create.  I just love this image and could not wait to ink it up.I colored it with copics and added liquid applique and diamond stickles for dimension and sparkle.  The designer paper is from Basic Grey Jovial and Basic Grey Olivia.  The bow is created with the bow easy and burgundy silk ribbon from May Arts. The 1/2 circle panel is cut out using the classic circle spellbinders.   The sentiment is from Whimsy's Winter Letter Seals.

card recipe:

Happy Sunday Everyone!! I have a house full this weekend so this post will be short and to the point so I can back to my company...

Today is a new Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge and this week's hostess is my dear friend and the super sweet Grace.

Grace has chosen the verse:John 3:30 "He must increase, but I must decrease".

Recently I have had a lot of things occurring in my life, including a loss of one of my dearest friends who is dying from Cancer.  This has really caused me to think about my purpose of life and how short life really is. Ruby always lived her life for the Lord and He was indeed the Center.  Am I doing the same.  In a twinkling of an eye I could be gone from this earth...God could take me home to heaven to be with him.  This has really caused me to think of God's purpose for my life and whether I am following His plan for my life or my own desires. Yes I spend time reading my Bible and praying, homeschooling, and etc.  But is the time I spend used for His honor and glory or is it to satisfy myself.  This verse really points to how God should be "the increase" in my Life and the center.  Yes I use my crafting to send to those in need but should I spend more time with my children and family or am I spending to much time on crafting.  This time of my life is one of reflection and trying to do what His will is ...

Grace challenged the team and any participants with a choice for this week's challenge.

You have choices this week:
1. Make a CAS card, (representing "you" needing to decrease);

2. Make a More is More card, (representing that He must INCREASE) or

3. Show us a simple version of a card and then show us the "More is More" version.

Due to the lack of time I created one card this week.  I don't think CAS is my strength but I challenged myself to decrease on my creation.

Here is my creation:
For my creation I used the Poinsettia tags (sentiment) and Poinsettia Background released this month at Our Daily Bread Designs.  I gold embossed my background.  The bow is tied using the bow easy and Ivory May Arts ribbon.  The glitter is K& Co glitter paper.

Happy Saturday Everyone!!  I hope you are all having a great weekend.  This weekend I am blessed to have my parents here for the weekend. Fun...and treasured!

Anywho...I am popping in for this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.

This week's Challenge:
Do you sometimes get in a slump and just create cards with your stamps...I know I do. This week we want you to create anything but a card. It need not be 3D...it can be a bookmark, tag, etc. I hope this helps you think outside of the box.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday,
November 18. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by November 18 at 8 p.m. EST.If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC37. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.

For my sleigh I used the
Poinsettia Background, Poinsettia tag, Mistletoe Tag sets
from Our Daily Bread Designs.  The sleigh itself was created using the winter sleigh template from Perfect Presentations. I embossed the poinsettia background in silver on the blue cardstock before assembling.  The treats on the inside are almonds tarts.  To make the blades, I embossed white paper in silver to give it sparkle and the silver color.

Happy Friday Everyone!! I can't believe it is Friday already!! Wow!!  Time really does go so fast.  Still can't believe it is almost Thanksgiving already!

Today I have a Wags n Whiskers challenge to share with you.  This week's challenge is hosted by the sweet and talented Tracy. Tracy's challenge is to create something using vellum or acetate.

Don't forget this challenge is now open. Anyone can play along and you DO NOT need to use a Wags 'n Whiskers image.

Each challenge there are two prizes:

One random participant will win a

Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber stamp of their choice.
Any entry using a Wags 'n Whiskers image on their card will be entered into a drawing for a W'nW Digital stamp of their choice!!

Therefore, anyone who uses a Wags 'n Whiskers image will be entered into both prizes of a rubber stamp and a digital stamp!!

The only requirements are that you link directly to your challenge project - not to the main page of your blog. You must have a new project (no back linking) and you must link your card to the challenge post here.

Here is my take on the challenge using  acetate.

I used the adorable He loves Me image (one of my fave images!)  The acetate I purchased had ivory lace printed on it and it just looked so elegant.  I colored my image with copics and cut it out with a Lacey circles nestabilities set. The second circle is a scalloped circle die from Spellbinders with I outlined with pearls.  The ribbon is blue silk from May Arts.

This is my second post of the day. For the YNS challenge/ Creative Belli challenge, click here.

Welcome to the Whimsy New Release Hop!!!   If you came here from Ann Vento's blog, you are in the right place, if not you may want to start at the beginning at Crissy's blog since there is lots of inspiration and chance for prizes along the way and you don't want to miss it!! The grand prize includes ALL 6 of the new release stamps, a ticket die, and some paper!!!  But that is not all...several blogs will be giving away a single stamp from today's release!!  We have so much to share with you so why not grab yourself a cup of coffee or another favorite beverage and enjoy the hop!!

Whimsy Stamps is releasing some brand new rubber stamps today, and to celebrate the DT is having a Blog Hop!  The artists Melissa Jenkins (Meljen's), Crissy Armstrong and Ann Vento from Raindrop Echo designs have been  hard at work creating some awesome holiday sentiments and images as well as some customized images.

There is one new gorgeous set by Crissy Armstrong called Peace on Earth filled with sentiments and beautiful holiday images, 3 new  fab sets by Ann Vento called Christmas Tree in Words, Calendar Background, and Winter Seals, and then 2 new adorable stamps from Melissa Jenkins called Elf Bell Mouse and Cozy Little Snowman and guess what???

......today you also will be able to purchase a FABULOUS NEW Die to cut all those awesome ticket sentiments out.  Yes, Whimsy is beginning to carrry dies and the Ticket Die is the first to be available in the new Whimsy Shapeology Die Collection.  That's not all!!!  Ann Vento has also created 10 new customized stamps and there is new Holiday paper created by Whimsy!!  It is so yummy and I know I can't wait to get my hands on it!! There are  2 packs of 6x6 designer paper available created by Ann and Crissy each with 12 designs, 2 sheets of each design for a total of 24 sheets!!  Woo hoo!!  Whimsy is also taking preorders for a gorgeous snowflake die!!!

Here is one of the new custom rubber designs:

Now on to my creation!!  I decided to use the adorable Cozy Little Snowman illustrated by Melissa Jenkins!  I just adore snowman and this one is the sweetest!  I colored it with copics.

Some of the dp is from my scrap bin but I do know it is Heidi Grace and the other is SU Candy Cane!  I created the snowflakes using white glitter paper.  The card uses the sentiment from Winter seals designed by Ann.  The candy wrapper uses a template from Leigh Ann Baird called the easy candy wrapper available at the Wild flower patch shop here. The snowman was colored with copics and adhered on a dry embossed circle which was punched out with my SU circle punch.  The sentiment on the box is from the Christmas tree in words stamp set.

Here is a close up of each of my two projects:
