Happy Hump Day Everyone!! I can't believe it is Wednesday already and less than a week and a half until Christmas. Wow! Time flies!! I am still oh so busy with the Christmas preparations. It always amazing how much we go through for one day.
Anywho. Today I have two challenge creations to share with you.
The first is my first creation as a Whiff of Joy Challenge team designer. I am so honored to join this group of talented ladies and use some of my favorite stamps!!!
Thanks for this opportunity girls!
Today's Whiff of Joy challenge is a sketch which was created by Kim.
This is my take on the sketch using Lizzie with Muff from Whiff of Joy (illustrated by Elizabeth Bell) for my image and the Holiday tickets from Whimsy (designed by Ann of Raindrop Echo designs. The designer paper is from Whimsy's Holiday Folly, Best Present Co. and Basic Grey Marjolaine. The snowflakes were created using the Create a Snowflake 2 die set from Spellbinders and a Martha stewart snowflake punch. They were cut from silver and white glitter paper. The corners are created with the Vintage corner dies from Cuttlebug.
Card recipe:
Stamps: Lizzie with Muff from Whiff of Joy for my image and the Holiday tickets from Whimsy
Paper: Whimsy's Holiday Folly, Best Present Co. and Basic Grey Marjolaine. Blue Bayou from SU
tools: Create a Snowflake 2 die set from Spellbinders and a Martha stewart snowflake punch
embellishments: Memory Box velvet ribbon, lace from my stash, dew drops, silver brads

My second creation is for today's Your Next Stamp challenge. This week's challenge is the ever so sweet owner of YNS, Karen!! Karen challenged us to create party favors or something for a party or any celebration.
I have many party favors to make for my nieces and nephews. I am showing you just one of the six party favors I created for my side of the family. My plan is to hang them on the family tree when we have our family Christmas Celebration. The image is YNS Merry Mouse with Candy Cane. I just think this is the cutest and it is appropriate for a boy or girl. The designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather. I used the labels four die and cut off the bottom for the tag. The circle dies are from Spellbinders. The image is colored with copics.
Project recipe:
stamps:YNS Merry Mouse with Candy Cane.
Paper: Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather, real red
Accessories: Spellbinders labels 4, scalloped circles (small), standard circles (small), American Crafts grosgrain ribbon
For more inspiration for the YNS challenge, please visit my dt sisters:

Happy Sunday Everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend! I know I am...lots of family time. We put up our tree yesterday. The girls are just so excited. Nothing like the excitement of a child.
Anywho today it is time for another Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge.
This week's challenge host is the dear and sweet Patti. Patti chose the verse:
Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. ~Ephesians 4:29 NLT
Patti's challenge is:
"A Way with Words". Create a card or project that will compliment, encourage, or cheer someone in need of uplifting.
For my creation, I decided to make a Christmas Thinking of you card for my dear friend Mark who recently lost his wife. Mark will greatly miss Ruby this Christmas and I want to let him know he is consistently in our thoughts and prayers.
I used the You will Find Refuge for the chickadee image and Flourished Christian Symbols set from Our Daily Bread Designs for the sentiment. The designer paper is Basic Grey Curio. This is sort of CAS for me but I think it does better for a guy.
For more inspiration, please visit my dt sisters:
Grace, Linda, Lisa, Peggysue, Randi, Meisje, Rebecca, and Patti
For the full devotional and challenge details please visit the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge.
other challenges I am entering this card in:
Lil Red Wagon - Use a Diecut (Nesties)OSAAT #42 ~ anything goes
Top Tip Tuesday -use ribbon Digi Doodle Shop's Best - animals or insect
Tuesday Throwdown - clean and simpleCraft Your Passion - anything goes
Thanks for stopping by and for your comments!!

Happy Saturday everyone!! Sorry I have been neglecting my blog...I am just so busy and unable to keep up with it all. I needed to take a brief break to take care of the family and prepare for the holidays. Just so much to do and so little time. Today I am driving 2 1/2 hours one way to meet up with my best friend. We don't always have time to get together so this is a real treat.
I hope I will have time to comment on all your creations over the weekend. I do miss it.
Anywho...today it is time for another Shining the light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.
This week's Challenge:
Well...Christmas is just around the corner now and we haven't done any inspiration challenges yet so here is a collage of photos to inspire you. We can't wait to see what you create!!
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, December 16. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.
While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by December 16 at 8 p.m. EST.
The only rules are that you must link only new creations and if you do not use ODBD stamps, please do not submit more than one entry.
If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC41. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge and a picture of the photo above which inspired you.I was inspired by this photo's colors and flowers on the tree.
For my card I used the Ornaments
stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs. I embossed it in gold and colored it with copics. This ornament fits perfectly inside the largest ornament die from Spellbinders.
The background is embossed with a Sizzix die (which was sent to me by my dear friend Crystal). I placed a red rhinestone in each flower for some extra sparkle. The ornament is bordered with gold glitter paper and is hung from a very small piece of ric rac (last of my stash...boo hoo...that I just could not just throw away). The ribbon is wrinkled ribbon from May Arts which I tied with the bow easy.
For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my dt sisters:
Francie Gumprecht Patter Cross
Sabrina Jackson
To join the challenge, please link your creation here.
