May Your Love Increase, a sale, and an update

8:11 AM | Posted by Chris Olsen, Glowbug | | Edit Post

Happy Sunday all!! I am sorry for my lack of posting for the past few days. Life has been so busy. Currently my dear hubby is still laid off so we are focusing on finding him a job and looking into other ways to get finances to pay our bills. As my dear hubby says "We are not worried....just concerned. We know God will provide a job in His time." We just need to continue to trust in Him. This is where my favorite verse applies once again. Trust in the Lord with all your Heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5,6. It is in times like these that you realize nothing is guaranteed and that you need to focus on Him and what is most important thing.

I have an Anniversary card to share with you. I used all white with a very simplistic layout for the elegant look she achieved but used the Spellbinders Butterfly Magic die for the background instead of the embossing and used the Our Daily Bread Designs Antique Labels Design Stamp and Antique Labels Die as well as the All Occasion Sentiments.

Our Daily Bread Designs is away at CHA but they have a special sale!!!

Happy Birthday for Rick Blog Hop

8:00 AM | Posted by Chris Olsen, Glowbug | | Edit Post

Today the Our Daily Bread Designs Bread Basket is celebrating Rick's Birthday. Happy Birthday Rick!! Rick is Kelley's husband and has been an integral part of the Our Daily Bread Designs team behind the scenes. In honor of his Birthday, the team is throwing him a Birthday Bash Blog hop. If you arrived here from Dawn's blog, you are in the right place, if not, you may want to start back at the beginning at the ODBD blog so you don't miss a chance to win or any of the creations along the way.

Kelley is generously offering a $20 gift certificate toward stamps to one blessed hopper. Check out each link and leave a comment. One of the posts is a hop hot spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $20 ODBD store gift certificate. So, all you have to do is hop along and see all the creations and leave a little love as well as a Happy Birthday wish to Rick on the ODBD blog! You have until January 11 at 8 p.m. to join us for a chance to win.

Since Rick enjoys the Mighty Sea stamp set, I decided to combine sets making a scene including the Mighty Sea set, Light of the World, and Special Boy. I had fun masking the stamps, coloring it up, and adding a little texture. I hope you enjoy it Rick!!

Here is a photo of the inside using the sets Light of the World and All Occasion Sentiments.

Here is a picture of the sets used:

Thanks so much for visiting today! To continue on the hop, your next stop is the fabulous

Sandee!!

Happy Tuesday Friends!! I hope this post finds you all well!! Today I am back to share a challenge creation for Our Daily Bread Designs. After a two week challenge, the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light team is back to their regular schedule for challenges!!!

Today is something fun that I think most will be able to play!! This week's challenge is:

To use something new and something old

Our Daily Bread Designs, Be Joyful, Special Girl

ODBD Stamps Used: Be Joyful, Special Girl

Dies: Spellbinders Labels One, Decorative Labels One, Classic Circles, Scalloped Circles, Fancy Labels 2

Accessories: May Arts Blush Silk Ribbon, Pearls

My Old item is the Be Joyful stamp set and my new item is the Special Girl Stamp set. The card is framed with the Spellbinders Labels one and Spellbinders Decorative Labels One. The sentiment is framed with layers of scalloped and classic circles from Spellbinders as well as Fancy Labels 2. The ribbon is May Art Blush Silk Ribbon. I created the background by stamping the flowers from the Be Joyful stamp set multiple times in Memento Green Ink and Lightly coloring in the blossoms with pink copics.

Here are the photos of the two sets used:

Princess

10:02 AM | Posted by Chris Olsen, Glowbug | | Edit Post

Hi Friends!!!

I have not had much to stamp lately between the flu and being away for the holidays so yesterday I had fun playing along with the featured stamper's challenge. Janelle really has a beautiful gallery and I had a real difficult time choosing. So many beautiful cards to gaze upon. For the challenge, I chose to case Janelle's Spring Fling.

I chose to honor her with the crown using Our Daily Bread Designs Princess stamp set. I changed the stamps used, added a layer, and changed the embossing folder, but kept the overall layout and design. Congrats Janelle!! You are so deserving!!

The crown is stamped in versa mark on acetate and embossed in silver. I also embossed the edges in silver. The embossing folder is solid blooms (Stampin Up) but I divided it with some space in between to score a small strip.
