Happy Tuesday Everyone!! I hope you are all having a great beginning to your week!! It always amazes me how fast the weekends go!!! My how time flies!!!

I have two projects to share with you today since for some reason my post did not go live yesterday like it was suppose to. LOL!

The first is a sneak peek of the beautiful It is Well with My Soul song background stamp which I paired with the Grunge Butterfly background released last month at Our Daily Bread Designs and another sentiment sneak peek from the Mighty Sea stamp set to be released tomorrow.

Well I have changed gears like the rest of the retail world, from Christmas to Valentines!! LOL! Today I have another fun Heart box to share with you using this week's Product Spotlight at Stamp and Create!!!
This week's Product Spotlight is the adorable Magnolia's!!!! This week all Magnolia stamps will be up to 25% off. While some stamps may be out of stock today, Lacey is getting new stock in in a day or so.

For my creation I used Tilda Sending Love Letters . This adorable image is part of the Sweet Crazy Love Collection. I also used Echo Park Victoria garden dp as well as May Arts Pink Silk Ribbon, the bow easy, White Satin Edge Ruffle Lace Trim, and the little daisy spacer which are available in the Stamp and Create store.

This heart box uses the heart box tutorial written by Beate on Splitcoast. I just love boxes and her heart box looked so beautiful, I had to give it a go. The heart shape uses the Classic Hearts and Scalloped hearts from Spellbinders.

The flowers are handmade and layered on Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and Martha Stewart leaves and twig punches. The designer paper and the leaves are dry embossed.

Happy Saturday Everyone!! I hope you are having a great weekend!! It is kind of chilly here with lots of wind and fog. Perfect weather for sleeping...LOL!! or crafts!

Today I am popping in to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs!! This week's challenge is fun!!

The team challenges you t0 a Love Recipe- Use items that remind you of Valentine’s including the word Love or Loves, hearts, lace and the colors red, white,pink and white, or both (must be more than minimal..make these colors the main colors)

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Friday, February 3rd at 8 a.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on or will they qualify for prizes.

Here is my take on the challenge:

This heart box uses the heart box tutorial written by Beate on Splitcoast. I just love boxes and her heart box looked so beautiful, I had to give it a go. I used a sentiment (which I love) from the new Mighty Ocean stamp set at Our Daily Bread Designs to be released on Feb. 1. The dp is from Echo Park Victoria Garden. The heart shape uses the Classic Hearts and Scalloped hearts from Spellbinders. The flowers are recycled primas that I crunched, crinkled and layered. The leaf flourish is from Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish. The other leaves are embossed and cut out with the Martha Stewart's Leaf punch. The pearl beads, pearl heart pin, and lace were gifted to me by a very dear friend!!!

In case you can't read the sentiment, this is what it says:
For as deep as the ocean,
or as wide as the sea,
so is His love given to thee.

There seems no greater love I can think of, even at Valentine's Day, than that of the Father to send His one and only Son into this world as both spirit and human to sacrifice His life on the cross for us. Thanks be to God for this eternal gift!!

I made this box for Valentine's Day but also as a reminder for someone who will be going through a very serious stem cell transplant shortly. I pray this uplifts her and reminds her of the Father's love!!

I am also entering this in three other challenges. The Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge #123, to make a heart stand out on your card/project which you can find here. The verse for the challenge is:

Scripture: "Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart." Proverbs 3:3

The second challenge is from Cheery Lynn Designs for Challenge #12, to use dry embossing and Cheery Lynn dies. You can find the challenge here. I dry embossed the leaves on my creation and used the Fanciful Flourish die.

Happy Tuesday Everyone!! I hope you all have had a good weekend!! I spent most of the weekend huddled inside since it has been the coldest ever since the winter begun...7 degrees!!! Granted we have been spoiled with mostly spring like temperatures. But that is a tad chilly in my book. We also got 6 inches of snow so my crazy girls played in the snow with the biggest kid of all...my husband Scott. LOL! He had a great time pulling the girls on the toboggan with his quad.

Today I am popping in to share a tag I made using the latest Product Spotlight at Stamp and Create: Belles n Whistles!!

Here is my creation using Watering from Belles n Whistles:

For my tag, I used Watering from Belles n Whistles. The image is colored with copics. In addition to the image, the pink (1/2 inch) wrinkled ribbon, white silk ribbon, and love charm are also available in the Stamp and Create store. The lace and floweret ribbon were given to me in a RAK by my dear friend, Sabrina. The dp and image panel is framed with the Fleur De Lis Rectangles from Spellbinders. The sentiment is computer generated and framed with the Twisted Metal tags and accentes dies from Spellbinders. The shape of the tag uses the Spellbinders Labels Labels 8 which I embossed with a SU embossing folder. The rose button is from my stash. The dp is from My Mind's Eye.

Here is my creation using the Crocheted Circle Die, Serve the Lord, and Simple Things.

The designer paper is from Prima Botanical. Some of the pieces are dry embossed. The seam binding ribbon is one I received from a dear friend in a RAK. The flourishes are created using the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish. The sentiment on the bottom of the easel card is framed with a Classic Oval die from Spellbinders. The butterflies are made with a Martha Stewart Classic Butterfly punch.

The Next stop on the hop is Julie...I know she will have lots of inspiration for you!

SC Bling Spotlight ~He Loves Me.....~

Happy Monday all!!! I hope you all had a great weekend!! Mine was good....we left Sunday to go to Virginia for a short stay for some important business on Monday so this post has been scheduled.

This week Stamp and Create has another Product Spotlight!!! This week's Product Spotlight is Brads, Buttons, Bling, and Ornaments which also means these items are also up to 25% off!!!

For my creation I used the darling He Loves Me from Wags n Whiskers which I colored with copics. I also used the Kaiser craft Snow pearls , and Sew Easy Baker's Twine (Tertiary- aqua). The dp I used is SEI Welcome Home. The roses are ivory fairy tale roses from Prima. The fern leaves are punched using the Martha Stewart Twig punch. The image is cut out with the Spellbinders Lacey Circles die.

I just thought the sentiment from Special Blend and the tea cup image from Birthday Blessings was perfect for a Tea time gift set. The paper from Promise Me is just perfect with the tea cups and I just love the colors!!

Butterfly Gift Box

Hello all!! I hope everyone is well and staying warm. I am sitting writing my post by the fireplace as a cold front is in our area.

Anywho... I am popping in to share a gift box I created. Have you ever wanted to give a gift but didn't have a box to package it in and no templates available to make one...then I have a quick, easy and beautiful way to make a box using Origami!!!

All you need is 2 pieces of 12x12 designer paper, a scissor, some scoretape, and embellishments (to decorate as desired (this box measures 4x4 inches)!! To make the box itself without decorating, it took me less than 15 minutes!!! (top and bottom)

Here is my completed box using the 2- step Butterflies and the Butterfly 2 die available at Our Daily Bread Designs, brown seam binding, blue lace, blue rhinestones (Michaels), white pearls, and Ella Blue dp by GCD Stutios.

For my card I used Laila Fairy from Wags n Whiskers which I colored with copics and cut out and framed with the Spellbinders Eyelet Circles. She also used May Arts White Wrinkled Ribbon (1/2 inch), White silk ribbon, Kaiser Craft pearl pearls, and the bow easy available in the store. I used a variety of embossing folders to create texture, some lace from a stash of RAKS sent to me and the Martha Stewart Daisy Border Punch.

Happy Thursday all!! I hope all is going well for you all!!

Today I am popping in to share a card I made for today's Stamping in Time Challenge (SNTODBD51).

The Challenge this rotation is all about 2012! Or, at least the numbers that make up the year. Like 2-0-1-2. The numbers are a formula or recipe for how much we can add or not add to our card! Any stamps are allowed; however, if you use ODBD stamps you are entered twice for the win! Play as often as you like! The more you play the more you increase you chances to win! Happy Hump Day Everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. Our family continues to struggle with the flu and has been quite sick so I have not been doing any crafting this week.

I do have one card to share with you that I made for last week's Inspiration challenge at Splitocast. I saw these Bleeding Hearts for the IC317 (Embroidery Everywhere) challenge and just had to use the Our Daily Bread Designs Bleeding Hearts and Special Blend stamp sets.

The image is colored with copics, cut out and framed with the labels 4 die. The sentiment is cut out with the Fancy Tags (Spellbinders) die. The embossing folder is Provocraft Scrollwork. The ribbon is a gift from my dear daughter for Christmas.

Happy Saturday everyone! It has been a long time since I have posted. Sorry to have been MIA! Our family was blessed with a Christmas gift that keeps on giving...THE FLU!! Yuck!!! It all began before Christmas and each of the four us have been struggling with it ever since. I still am fighting with nausea and a fever as well as an upper respiratory infection. Hopefully our illness goes out with the old year.

SSCC A gift for Christmas!!

Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are having a great weekend!! Mine is busy but I have not been feeling too well so I am trying to keep my spirits up and keep going for our girls. They get so excited for all the holiday happenings and traditions!!

Anywho...I want to write a brief post for the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge this week. This is the last challenge for the year. The team will be taking a break for the holidays and will return on January 8.

This week's hostess is the ever so sweet and talented Miesje!!

Miesje has chosen one of my fave verses for the holidays:
"Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth peace, good will toward men" (Luke 2:14)

What do you think of when you think of Christmas? Is it the presents or the tree, the lights, or Christmas decorations? Each and every one of these are symbols for the holiday...not the true meaning but what people long ago used as reminders of that blessed Christmas in the stable.

The evergreen or tree reminds us of everlasting life. The Lights representing the Light of the world. The presents representing God's Gift to us and those given by the wisemen. Even the colors red and green representing His Blood shed for us and the everlasting life He has given to us if we believe in Him.

What is Christmas without the humble birth of our dear Lord and Savior a long time ago. What gift to send His one and only Son for us!! How many kings have been born? How many royal men have been born in a humble manger as our Savior was? How many humble or royal births do we celebrate internationally and all around the world yearly? Jesus, though spiritual and God's Son was born to save us from our Sins. The greatest gift of Christmas is not only His birth but what He came to do for us. Born as a Son of God and Man, He came to die that we all may have eternal life if we believe in Him and what He has done for us. This Christmas message is what gives us Peace and Joy not only at Christmas but all year long!! Glory to God!!!

Miesje has challenged us to create
A Christmas card or project that is Christian, including a Christian image and/or sentiment about the TRUE meaning of Christmas.

For my creation, I decided to make a gift box that I created with Origami. The tag uses the verse "Glory to God in the Highest..." and the ornament from the Ornaments 2 set at Our Daily Bread Designs cut out with the Spellbinders Holiday Tags. The candy cane is made with beads and a pipecleaner.

If you don't have a box in the house and you need to have a small box to package a gift for someone, these origami are a fun, quick, and inexpensive way to create one. Some may know how to create one of these boxes, but for those who don't, I plan to create a tutorial in mid to the end of January. All it takes is some adhesive and 2 pieces of 12x12 designer paper!!

Here is my take on the challenge using the ODBD Stamps: Simple Things, Holiday Ornaments 2 ( I used the Case Study challenge (Amy Sheffer's card) from last week to create my layout, however that challenge has already expired. ) The clovers from the Simple Things are colored with copics and cut out with the customized ODBD Clover die. The image is framed with the Spellbinders Label 4 die. The sentiment from the Holiday Ornaments 2 stamps is framed with the Fancy Tags die from Spellbinders. After layering my card, I sewed around the edges in gold metallic thread. The embossing folder is Provocraft Scrollwork.

SC Product Spotlight- Christmas!! Betty Mouse Lunch Box

Happy Monday All!! I hope you all had a great weekend!! Mine went well but was extremely busy!!!

Today I am popping in to share this week's Stamp and Create Product Spotlight!! This week's spotlight is Christmas images. All Christmas images are up to 25% off!!!! This sale begins at noon EST today!!!

For todays post I created a Christmas Gift box (lunchbox) using the adorable Betty Mouse with Candy Cane. I colored it with copics. The bow is created with Ivory Silk Ribbon and the bow easy. The paper is Basic Grey Jovial. The image is framed with Lacey Circles from Spellbinders. The background is embossed with Swiss Dots. The sentiment tag is attached with a snowflake button and cording. The shape of the tag is created with the Stampin Up tags (small and large). The borders used are the Daisy Edge punch and Fence punch from Martha Stewart. The lunch box design uses the "Let's Do Lunch" template designed by Lauren Meader for Papertrey Ink. I added a gold pinecone and silver baubles to my ribbon bow with silver cording.

I hope you have been enjoying your weekend!! It has been a very busy weekend decorating for Christmas, participating church events and having family over.

Today I am popping in to share this week's Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge.

Marilynn is our host this week!! I know you will be inspired and lifted up with her devotional as she inspires and makes me think each time I read her Sunday posts. She has chosen the verse: Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.

This verse says it all...it is the true message of Christmas. God gave us the greatest gift of all by giving us His one and only son to come to earth as a human and make the greatest sacrifice for us all. He later died for us all to forgive our sins. All we need to do is Believe on Him. As you listen to the old familiar Christmas carols and celebrate the holidays remember to thank Jesus for the true reason for the season, our Lord's humble birth.

Marilynn challenges us to create a card or project with a birthday theme.

Here is my take on the challenge using the adorable Henry Celebration Mouse from Whiff of Joy.

I colored him with copics. I gave him a vintage flair with distressing, embossing (soft swirls folder), stitching and faux stitching. The leaves are created with the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish. The dp is Prima Sparkling Spring.

here is my take on the sketch:

I decided to give it a feminine touch and use some fun buttons and twine (TLC challenge at Splitcoast). The colors are inspired by the Shabby Tea Room challenge. The ornament is embossed and Gold and cut out with the Spellbinders Holiday Tags. The ornament is framed with two "Labels 4" cut outs going in alternate directions.

WOJ Praying Angel

Happy Hump Day!! I can't believe we are halfway through the week already. Where does the time go?

Today I am posting a card using the new WOJ sketch designed by Karina for the Whiff of Joy challenge.
I have missed joining the team for this challenge and am happy to be able play this week since time allowed and I also found some of my WOJ in packed boxes after searching for an angel stamp for last week's Stampin Sisters in Christ "Angel" challenge last week. Funny I found an angel charm in time for the challenge but not a stamp until on Monday. So I just had to use one of WOJ beautiful Angel stamps today!!!

Anywho, here is my card using Praying Angel (WOJ) and Karina's sketch:

The designer paper is Christmas K and Co. I found at Michaels. The Ribbon is from May Arts and it is silk taupe ribbon. The flourish is a Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish. The image is framed with a Blossom Tag Accents from Spellbinders which I embossed in gold embossing powder. The tag is created with Spellbinders Banner Labels. I stitched the panels with gold metallic thread. The lace is from a RAK from one of my dear friends. The image is colored with copics. The shape of the card is created with the Spellbinders Grand Labels die. The edges have been distressed with embossed gold. The sentiment is computer generated.

SC Product Spotlight ~A Gift for an angel~

Happy Monday All!! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!! It is hard to believe a new week has begun. Where does the time go. Weekends especially seem to fly by. Before you know it, it will be Christmas!!!

Today's project is one that I made in preparation for the holidays....a gift for a friend. I have been so preoccupied and busy with the move and selling the house, I have not been able to create as much as the past. It feels good to be able to join my fellow Stamp and Create team this week!!!

Anywho...this project focuses on this week's Product Spotlight at Stamp and Create....THE BOW EASY!! If you don't have one, you really must invest in one. Now is the time since they are up to 25% off!!! I know I should invest in a few more...it is one of my tools that I always seem to misplace...go figure!! I just love it!! It makes perfect bows every time!!!

Since it is a new month, it is also time for a new challenge. This months challenge at Stamp and Create is "VINTAGE". The challenge will go until January 8!!!

The project I created for you today uses the Bow Easy, Ivory Silk Ribbon (May Arts), and
Whiff of Joy Henry Angel Mouse from the Stamp and Create store.

The box is created using the Tea Tabbed Box Template created by Lauren Meader available at My Time Made Easy. The paper is Bo Bunny Snowfall. It's kind of hard to make a treat box with Henry Angel Mouse vintage so I gave it a somewhat Victorian flair with the bells, lace, and pearls.
